Squirrels, deer, ect. Skinwalkers tend to have a problem similar to housecats where they don't necessarily need to hunt to survive, but if they don't they get restless and aggressive, so it's a means of expending extra energy.

Ever killed an entire deer by yourself out of sheer boredom? Skinwalkers have.

The less zombie-fyed ones usually have their own homes, but some of the older ones live in the forest like animals because just the sight of them would shatter Disbelief.
