[IC] RWBY: The Snow Queen and the Gray Knight [Jett Ryu & XxLyraxX]

Gray walked his motorcycle out of the airship from the cargo bay, traveling light-- despite being the heir to one of the largest companies in Remnant, he was carrying all that he wanted or needed in a backpack and his saddlebags. He brought his bike to the student parking area and started for the main courtyard.

Weiss let out a huff as she stormed away. Insolent little brat! Weiss gritted her teeth as that girl's face flashed before her eyes. God, what a dolt! Was she really expected to work with people like that? She only hoped the stupid girl wouldn't be assigned to a team with her. The white-headed girl was so wrapped up in her thoughts that she failed to see the person in front of her until it was too late. The girl stumbled back a step, eyes shooting with a glare. She opened her mouth, about to tell the person to watch where they were going but stopped when she recognized the person standing before her. "Gray." She said, giving him a nod before she quickly darted around him, frantically trying not to blush. Ever since a few months ago, every time she saw or talked to Gray, butterflies would erupt in her stomach and she would blush. So, now she as bent on avoiding him as much as possible.

Gray was thinking when Weiss almost ran into him. But when he recognized her, he froze for a moment. His nose detected her familiar perfume, sending him back to that awkward company dinner a few months ago; their families might dislike each other, but their businesses still worked closely together to mine Dust and build Dust-powered weapons. Gray parked his bike and sprinted after Weiss.

"Hey, Snow Queen!" he called, using a nickname he'd given her when they were kids.

Weiss nearly groaned allowed when she heard Gray call after her and detected the sound of footsteps getting closer. She took a deep, centering breath before she turned around to face him, arms crossed defensively over her chest. "Yes?" She almost snapped, feeling the butterflies return as she stared up into his eyes. What was happening to her? She's never felt like this before and she doesn't like it!

Gray was used to this from Weiss, and he wasn't affected. He gave a little, defiant smile. "Hey to you too," he said. "Who pissed in your Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes this morning?" His mechanical arm caught the sunlight-- he'd lost his left arm while fighting a King Taijitu since he saw Weiss last. He had his weapons strapped to his lower back, in their most compact form.

Weiss gave no answer as his arm caught her eyes and she frowned. When did that happen? He had had both arms the last time she saw him and now here he was with a mechanical one? Was he ok? Afraid he would see the worry in her eyes she quickly smirked and gestured at his arm. "I see your fighting isn't as good as you boats it is. Anyway, if you'll excuse me, I will be going now." She said, turned on her heel and marched away, hair swinging behind her.

Gray frowned, now a little irked. He never boasted about anything, and she knew that. It was his father who boasted about him. As if they were kids again, Gray yanked Weiss' ponytail. "Excuse me?" he snapped. "I don't brag. Despite coming from a family as rich as yours, Snow Queen, I never brag."

Weiss glanced up at Gray before she looked away. "See you later." She said, turning and walking towards the school. She knew orientation would start soon so she headed inside. There were many students milling around and Weiss leaned against a wall, ice blue eyes scanning the faces of her fellow classmates. A flash of red caught her eyes and she scowled when she saw Ruby, her earlier irritation coming back to her.

Gray was irritated but let it slide. As he went into the crowd he could see Ozpin speaking with a blonde, a member of the staff. He was silent, mulling over what he shoukd do. That had been inappropriate of him, to say the least. He'd apologize later.

Weiss spotted Gray through the crowd and looked away, seeing Ozpin talking with a member of the staff. She watched him for a moment as he talked before turning away and resumed looking at the crowd.

Gray could see a scraggly blonde boy eyeing Weiss. He knew the type: hiding insecurities behind a bravado of manliness. Or what people thought of as manliness.

"Hey." A voice said right next to her. She glanced over, seeing a tall boy with blonde hair standing there giving her a nervous smile. "Yes?" She said, not really in the mood for a conversation. "I'm Jean." He said, sticking out a hand. Weiss eyed it, not making a move to take it. It hung there a moment before he dropped it back to his side. "Yes? And? Did you need something?" She asked, an indifferent look on her face. "U-Uh..n-no, I just wanted to c-come say hi." He stuttered, making the white-haired girl struggle to not role her eyes. First Ruby now this? "Well, now you've said it." She stated, turning her eyes away. Jean stood there awkwardly before he shuffled away, a dejected slump to his shoulders.

(i'm not over-doing it with her cold attitude, am I? ><)

((Perhaps a little towards Jaune. Towards Ruby, no. Use the "You're lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff!" moment. As for the intro, I think we can RP the part while Gray watches.))

As Gray waited he heard a girl with black and red girl talk about "some crabby girl" yelling at her, and just "wanting her to stop". Gray found this awfully familiar.

Weiss spotted Gray a little through the crowd before looking away. She felt kind of bad about the way she treated him but she just got so flustered around him she couldn't help but put up a defensive front to hide behind.

Gray noticed Weiss' gaze but ignored her.

Weiss saw Ozpin stand at the front of the room and begin his speech. Weiss shifted slightly as she listened, uncrossing her arms from her chest.

Gray listened to the Headmaster, but frowned. He didn't seem enthused in the slightest, as if his mind was focused on more pressing matters. Gray crossed his arms over his chest.

Weiss listened as Ozpin explained that their would be a test tomorrow to determine teams and that they all we're going to camp out in the great hall. Weiss frowned but got her luggage all the same and found a corner for herself. She didn't really like the idea of sleeping around a bunch of strangers but seeing as she didn't have a choice in the matter she sucked it up and dealt with it.
