Plot

Welcome to the continent of Bor. Hundreds of years ago a great rebellion was waged against a tyrannical emperor, Athos, said to be descended from the dark god Kron. The war between the two factions was long and bloody for both sides. Just when the rebels started to gain the upper hand, Athos invoked a ritual that gave him the power of his ancestor. Using it to raise armies of undead and terrible creatures he soon began to turn the war in his favor. In desperation, the leader, now known as Saint Engels, prayed to the seven gods of light to bring hope. The heavens answered her prayer and blessed her and her three closest companions with sacred weapons that would forevermore be tied to their bloodline. This weapons, blessed by the gods were specially useful against the dark armies and soon they took the war to Athos himself. The dark emperor, fearing his destruction, left hidden instructions to his followers to ensure his return.

It is now six hundred years since the dark emperor was defeated and Bor now is divided in four countries, Shere, to the north, famous for it's peerless sword masters; Perm, to the southwest, a dessert kingdom, infamous for the mercenaries that come from there. Engels, the largest country, is ruled by a theocracy and places high value on magical skills. It is located to the east, sharing borders with Shere, Perm and Miess. Miess is a small nation ruled by a high council formed by the nobles of the land. It is divided in small fiefdoms that are ruled relatively independently by each noble.

There have been six hundred years of peace, but now, in the year 618 since the great war, something dark begins to stir in the continent and rumors of a black book begin spreading.....

Character Sheet

Name:

Age:

Nature: (is your character a good person?, does he has a kind disposition?, does she like to spread chaos? In general, how is your character likely to act in a given situation.)

----------

The races are:
- Humans (can be mages, sword fighters, axe fighters, archers, knights, mercenaries, clerics, thieves)

-Shapeshifters (dragons, wolves, tigers, ravens, hawks) Note: their forms are massive and suited for battle. When not transformed into their animal form they have some characteristic that denotes them as not human, that is easy to identify.
-> Dragons: Rare and very powerful, the Dark Emperor Athos hunted down every one he could find, for he feared their power and their incorruptible morals. Nowadays they are believed to be extinct, but it might not be true. Their distinctive features are the color of their eyes, that will always be golden, and their long, pointed ears.
- >Wolves: Fierce and loyal, they have average speed but have tremendous stamina. They can be recognized by the wolf ears they sport in their human form.
- >Tigers: Their speed is legendary, but they are not remarkable for their defense. They are distinctive by the stripes that remain when in human form.
- >Ravens: Swift and capable of harnessing wind magic, which is unique to their race. They, like the tigers, have a rather low resistance to physical attacks. The black wings remain when in human form.
- >Hawks: They have the best eyesight and hearing of all the shape shifters, and combine their speed with a remarkable constitution, and, like the ravens, retain their wings when transformed.
------------------

That's the general plot and the setting, along with the character's sheet. If there are doubts or suggestions feel free to message me, I will welcome any feedback.

Name: Anderus Fang

Age: 30

Nature: Good, loyal, well-tempered (for a werewolf)

Personality: Anderus is pretty balanced for a werewolf but a little fierce in compare to an average human, never the less he is usually pretty friendly, unless you have some connection to Athos or his followers, in that case he is your worst nightmare!

Job: Fighting Monk by profession(Wu dang, Shaolin..), wolf shape shifter by nature.

Small biography:
Anderus was actually raced by humans,
when he was an infant, Anderus’s family was slayed in one of the wars against Athos’s followers, he was brought by someone to the doors of the monastery where the fighting monks lived.
The monks were human, but they accepted the little shape shifter and raced him as one of their own, Anderus loves the monks as his own family and has been training with them since he could walk.
Anderus started his battle training in his human form, but with time discovered his wolf powers, despite being an excellent warrior in both his human and wolf forms, he actually prefers to fight in a half turned state, where he still stands on 2 legs and has hands, so he can use the kicks and fists that the monks taught him so well but does have fur and fangs, so he is able to add a powerful bite to his arsenal and use his thick wolf fur as a natural armor.
Anderus is an excellent master in bare hand combat and in the use of a battle scimitar, he is also familiar with the use of other weapons, such as the halibard, the spear, the sword, the quarter staff and every other cold weapon that was in use by the monks of the monastery where he grew up.
When he turned 20, the monks told him everything they new about his story, that's when he discovered what has happened to his family,
he was fighting Athos's followers ever since.

Physical Strength:
Stamina: very high
Constitution: Average
Defense: Very good
Physical attack: Strong but not tremendous

Magical Strength:
mental fortitude: very good (thanks to years of meditation training)
Spells: casts only simple healing spells
Resistance to magical attacks: Only natural resistance to evil and what derives from it,
fortified by years of monk training.

Speed: Fast, even for a werewolf
Luck: Average
Motivation: Revenge for his family death, protecting the world against evil (he is a fighting monk after all)

Son of a-
I was excited to see a post in the IC...and then I saw the post.

Anyway, as requested:

Name: Vikas Tyr

Age: 36

Appearance:

Nature: An odd case, is Vikas. On one hand he is a man of several vices, alcohol, women and killing, yet on the other hand he is loyal to a fault and holds the few he deems friends in the highest regard. However, being something of a nomad with no land holdings or permanent residences, he is often looking for paid work and has been known to sell out one employer for a larger reward. He may not be the worst man, but he is far from being the best.

Personality: Vikas has a measured demeanor about him, so long as he's sober. Once the drink gets in him though, he finds the voice to lead an entire tavern in a row of bawdy verses and the energy and stamina to lead a dance and bed a wench or three. In a fight, he keeps his cool and stays focused, only really speaking in order to psyche out an opponent.

Job: Vikas is known more famously as a wandering Bard, who has dabbled in the life of a courtly Troubadour. What he is less well known for is his track record in illegally sanctioned underground dueling. All fights are to the death, so one need only witness Vikas draw breath to know how good he is.

Small biography: Born an orphan in Shere, Vikas found his love of swordplay at a young age as an escape from the drudgery of orphanage life and it eventually led him to joining the local garrison, tasked with routing out local bandits or assisting in secret missions across Bor. During his time traveling with the militia, he picked up an Oud for the first time after hearing a man in the streets of Perm playing one.
He practiced the instrument until his fingers bled, and soon found himself an adept player, and able to entertain his brothers in arms. While in Perm he and his militia brothers took on jobs with mercenaries, bloody affairs that saw some poor soul dead for his perceived betrayal of another. Vikas soon learned through this lifestyle that the men with the most money were often the ones still living and breathing...more importantly, the ones hiring.
Once his militia contract expired he took to the road rather than renegotiate another one, as he grew to detest the rigidity of life in a garrison, and found working with mercenaries to be tasteless. With his sword at his hip and Oud on his back he traveled the length and breadth of Bor, selling either his voice or his sword for enough money to fill his belly and his bed.
Being so well-traveled, he has made several firm friends in each continent, including an intimate on-again-off-again romance with a Mage in Engels.

Physical Strength:
Strength: Average
Endurance: High
Hits they can take: Slightly above average
Body type: 6', tall build, not quite broad but hardly stick skinny.
Defense: Average

Magical Strength:
Has developed resistances to certain magical attacks.
Mental Fortitude: High
Spells: Knows none.

Speed: High, years of dueling have given him fast reflexes, but years of learning have left him with the scars to show for it.

Luck: Vikas likes to think he makes his own luck, and considers his fortunes balanced with his misfortunes, though some may see it differently.

Motivation: Motivated by the nomadic life of a drifter, he covets the open road and money most of all. However, he has a slim interest in the peace of the land being maintained so he won't have to give up his freedom for the soldier life. He'd much rather tread a dry dirt road than one slick with blood.

Durus

Age: 84

Nature: There isn't much to him besides his determination to find a way out of his curse and battle. While he loves to fight he does not actively seek it, being somewhat of a martial pacifist As being little more than a sentient suit of armor Durus doesn't have many of the vices that plague man.

Personality: Durus changes little outside of battle. He is still quiet, stern, and grim but it is subdued by a calming sense of serenity. Durus has lost much to the armor that now claims his soul but it will not take his determination, as such there is very little he cannot accomplish once he puts his heart into it. Being a quiet man, Durus has little need for lies and can be counted on as a man of his word. However many are put off by his blunt personality, its not really his fault though. The armor has consumed much of his social skills and as a result he is a cripple socially.

Job: Former Knight of the Black Iron, now he is a wandering warrior.

Small biography: Durus was once a proud knight to a powerful order, but he doesn't remember that anymore, the armor has consumed most of those memories. Now they come in flashes, dreams almost. Ever since he has begun to lose himself to the armor Durus has dedicated himself to finding a way to take off the armor and finally die, hopefully as himself instead of whatever he is becoming. It is a quest that has taken many, many decades.

Physical Strength: The armor has boosted Durus' already incredible strength to unimaginable heights, now being able to easily crush a mans head in his hands and wield the great sword that has become iconic to his character. Strength isn't the only thing that has been increased however, due to the armor he now has almost limitless stamina. However these come with a price. Whenever his strength and stamina reach super human levels the armor starts to feed off his soul, loosing parts of him in the process. If he were to keep this up he will eventually become nothing but a mindless husk, forever seeking battle.

Magical Strength: While not magically gifted himself, the cursed armor he wears gives Durus several abilities. The first is a set that takes away the need for air, sleep, food, and drink. While the armor has above average durability, it can still break. These breaks can be fixed by the absorption and conversion of other metals, the "wounds" will heal about as fast as a normal humans would if not a little faster. Next he is highly resistant to attacks of a purely magical origin, like magic missile, but ice magic will slow him down and fire will melt his armor if prolonged exposure is retained. Lastly he is for all intents and purposes, immortal. Should the armor be reduced to a slag it may take several decades to resemble himself, but it will happen. Most likely losing his humanity in the process. It would take a great mage to separate his soul from the armor and only that will set him free.

Speed: Faster than a man in of his size and armor type should be but still much slower than an unhindered man

Luck: Neutral luck, never particularly lucky or unlucky.

Motivation: Trying to lift the curse off the armor, finally allowing himself to die and be free.

Ooopsie, I forgot to put Tessa's Character Sheet in here.

Name: Tessa Rowan

Age: 23

Nature: Tessa is by nature a good person, though she's also very secretive.

Personality: She's pretty easygoing and friendly, though she keeps her secrets close to her chest. She can always be found giving advice and chatting with strangers.

Job: Tessa is a human cleric.

Small biography: Tessa was born in the eastern part of Miess, though she became an orphan at a pretty young age, being 7 at the time. She grew up in a local orphanage and she became very close to the priest in charge of the children. It came to no one's surprise that she joined the order and became an acolyte. Once she finished her healer training she became a fixture in the orphanage, healing the children and acting like a mother figure to them. Being an exceptional healer brought her side jobs and requests from the people in town, which she, having a kind disposition, always answered.

Physical Strength: Tessa has never been a fighter, so her strength and physical resistance are very low. She does have, however, remarkable stamina, at least for a cleric.

Magical Strength: She has high magical strength, even if she doesn't know many offensive spells yet. Likewise, she has high magical resistance and a great deal of mental fortitude.

Speed: She has average speed, though she can run very fast for short bursts.

Luck: She's very lucky

Motivation: Curiosity and a small dash of revenge.

It would be better if we waited for everyone to post before responding again. I usually post once daily, in order to let the rest of you have time to come up with a response. Once the 24 hours are up I post again :3
