Greetings.

One thing that I've noticed with this forum is the very white writer blocks(the ones you fill when you post a message).

There is nothing wrong with the color white. But when you put a white box against a black surface, it can get slightly irritating for the eyes when writing longer posts.

I'd love to see a writer box that blends better in with the background of this site.

What are your own opinions on this?

Agreed. It's jarring.

I'll squeeze this improvement into the update I'm doing later this evening.

It would make sort of sense for the input box to be the same color as the posted post fields. But it could use a border to make it stand out slightly more than a faint blue aura.

Text color in typing-box should be same color as posted default color.

Exactly. The rendered post comes out with inverted colors from what you've typed.
