Castitas spotted Markus' smile. "Aha! You can't put the grumpy face on now, I've caught you!" She ran beside him, giving a naughty grin. "Are you feeling better?" She tried to grab his hand to hold it, trying to sooth him.
Whisper faced where they headed, seeing a rickety bridge up ahead.

Markus chuckled weakly, "That's not what this is about." He sighed looking at the priestess and slowly pulling his hand away from hers, "This can't happen... You and I can never happen. You're a priestess.... and I'm just a no good knight." As they approached a bridge, Markus felt uneasy. He scanned the area knowing there was someone.... or something, was out there. That's when the knight noticed a figure on the other side of the bridge. The figure was not human, well at least not all human, he knew it looked familiar, like something he read as a young kid. That's when his eyes widened, "A Minotaur?" He couldn't believe it. It was even more worry some when the knight remembered that they were not in the strange world anymore, "They..... they're coming to our world..." Markus watched the Minotaur, but it didn't seem to be doing anything... Almost as if it was just guarding the bridge.

Castitas stared at Markus as he let her hand go, tears rolled down her cheeks. She wiped them away as she spotted the Minotaur standing on the other side of the bridge. "What? That thing's not suppose to be here!" Castitas squinted her eyes to see if she was hallucinating. "It's the storm isn't it...? It's doing all this?" She glanced at Whisper, who returned her look of confusion. "Will it let us pass? Don't they eat living flesh?" Castitas' was about to have a panic attack.

Markus' heart sunk as he saw tears fall from the priestesses eyes. He noticed her starting to panic and placed a hand on her shoulder, he didn't know if it would help, but he had to do something to calm her down. "Let's just think this through. It hasn't attacked us yet so obviously it doesn't have any interest in us at the moment." The knight placed his bag of supplies on the ground and placed a hand on his sheathed weapons handle. Markus exhaled a shaky breath as he inched towards the bridge, stopping a few feet from it. The Minotaur shot a look at the knight with an unhappy expression, but did not advance toward him. Markus gripped his swords handle tightly, making sure to be ready to defend himself. The closer he got to the bridge, the more hostile the Minotaur became. As soon as his foot touched the bridge, the creature charged full force into the knight, throwing him all the way back to where the other two were. After that the Minotaur simply turned around and walked back to it's "Guard post" on the opposite side of the bridge. "Well, he doesn't seem to want us to pass." Markus winced in pain as he coughed up a small amount of blood.

Castitas quickly healed Markus the best she could, still not being able to calm herself. She cried continuously even when she helped Markus witht his wounds. "I'm s-sorry." She kept messing up he3r magic, not being able to control it with her will and heart broken.
Whisper came near her, lapping her cheeks to rid it off her salty tears. "Let me help..." He smiled at her, taking her place at the young knight's side. His eyes glowed red as he knitted Markus' skin together with his magic. "There, there." He comforted the priestess. "Though it may have seemed impossible, the son of a bitch is fine." He glared at the knight, a smirk curling on his face. "Maybe I should deal with the Minotaur, since you seem too weak for the task."

Markus sat quietly for a while and then looked over to Castitas, "I hope you can forgive me one day." Then his eyes went to the hound, rage filled him, "Don't you mock my strength," He slowly stood up, his eyes turned a demonic red hue, "It could be detrimental to your health." He started to laugh maniacally as he walk up to the bridge again. Markus stood inches from the bridge staring straight into the Minotaur's eyes, an evil grin spreading across his face.

Castitas thought she was terrified of the rage, Markus held, before. Words couldn't express what she felt she she looked at Markus. He was no longer the kind knight she saw before, but a terrifying monster, she even began to question herself; who is the real enemy?

Markus stepped onto the bridge, the Minotaur charging him as he expected. The now demonic knight simply placed a hand out and stopped the Minotaur dead in its tracks when it collided with his hand. He grabbed one of the creatures horns and threw it towards Castitas and the hound. Markus' eyes had the look of a crazed killer as he slowly approached the three. The knight knelt down next to Whisper and placed a hand on the hounds head, "I believe you were wrong about me." A large maniacal smile spread across his face, but then his eyes returned to normal and he fainted. The amount of energy he was using in his demonic form was too much for him to handle, it even cause damage physically as seen from a trail of blood running from his nose.

Whisper smiled at Markus' weakened self, a voice entering the priestess's mind. "Now you see him for what he truly is..."
The voice echoed in her mind as she turned around, looking for whoever spoke to her. She shrugged it off, more concerned with Markus' wounds. She steps carefully around the minotaurs limp body, not sure if it was truly dead. "M-Markus?" She stutters, trying to hide her obvious fear. "Are you-" She doesn't finish her question, knowing that he couldn't be alright, not from the amount of blood that she had seen gush from his nose.

Markus awakened with a groan as he winced in pain, "Wha... What happened?" He tried to stand, but immediately dropped to the ground in agonizing pain. His vision started to blur as the pain became more intense. He looked towards Castitas, only able to see a blurry outline, "Castitas..." He tried calling to her just before he started coughing up large amounts of blood. The once strong knight was now reduced to a useless, weak man. Markus began to hyperventilate as blood and tears rolled down his face.

"Hey!" Castitas cried, not knowing what to do. She tried to use her healing magic once more, but there was no way she could stop the internal bleeding. She called out to Whisper, only to find that he was no where to be found. "Please, don't die..." She wrapped her arms around him, praying to Light Himself, that Markus would remain alive. Her entire being glowed white, gleaming through her eyes and mouth. This magic that wrapped her and the knight with a warmth, started to stitch together Markus' insides. She let go of him, her colourless form staying as it's light dims.

Markus took a sharp breath in after his body was healed. He sat up coughing a bit and looking around his surroundings. He noticed Castitas and shook her slightly, "Castitas?" He winced, still slightly sore from the amount of energy that had surged through him in his demonic form.

Castitas' colour slowly returned to her. "I'm fine." She got up, only to fall over once again. As soon as she hit the ground, she burst out sobbing. She spoke to him internally, too scared to actually talk to him 'Why are you like this? What did I do wrong?' "You aren't good for nothing you know, you mean something to me..." She finally whispered out loud.

Markus gently picked her up and pulled her into a hug, "I'm sorry." He buried his face into her neck, tears welling in his eyes. "Is there anything I can do to make this up to you?" He kept her close, not wanting to ever let go again.

She lifts his head up, looking into his eyes. "I want you to tell me how you really feel about me." She wipes his tears away. "Don't you dare think of our status's, our consequences... I need to know how you really feel."

Whisper looked on from a distance, growling to himself. "Don't do it, Markus... It will only make you suffer." He snickers silently to himself, waiting to see the boy's decision to be made. Either way, he will woo the girl, he WILL please his mother.

Markus looked in Castitas' eyes, his mind running a million miles an hour. Should he say how he feels? What if he says the wrong thing? The knight fought through an internal conflict on the decision he was about to make. This could change everything, for the good or the bad. Was he willing to take that risk? And that's when he realized, he would risk anything for the priestess. He would do anything to keep her safe and happy and would go as far as laying down his life to protect her. He looked deep into her eyes and said the words that would seal his fate forever, words that he will never be able to take back. "I'm... in love with you."

Castitas cried her happy tears, she sighed with relief smiling sweetly. "You had better be, after seeing me naked." She laughed, pecking him on the lips. "And I'm in love with you." She felt as if a spell that she was put under, had been broken, giving her hope. She got up, trying to help Markus up as well. "Let's go kick some demigod ass... together."

Whisper looked up from the new lovers, turning his attention to the sky as it turned to night already. The full moon was blood red, peeking out from behind the purple clouds. Whisper felt a shot of pain surge through him, his fur and flesh began to fall off, transforming him into a young man, bloody and naked. He coughed out the sun pendant, putting it around his neck. He saw a caravan in the distance, heading toward it. He killed and hid the merchants, taking only clothes from them.
His next move would be down the path, where he would pose as a lost pilgrim. He took off the sun pendant, putting a curse upon it, so who ever wore it, would lose trust in anyone but Whisper. Ah, he would need a new name...

Markus nodded a smile appearing on his face as he stood, "I like the sound of that." He couldn't believe it, never in his life would he'd have thought that he would have fallen in love with a priestess. Knowing that the feeling weren't once sided was also quite the shock. He was overwhelmed with emotion, not being able to stop the large smile slowly growing across his face. Then, after looking around for the hound, he noticed Whisper was no where to be found, "Hey, where did that hound thing go? I was right next us the whole time wasn't it?" The knights face hardened in suspicion, "It better not try anything." Markus shook his head, clearing his mind, "Well, I'm sure it will be able to catch up with us. Come on, we have some ass that we need to kick." He chuckled and taking her hand in his, walked across the bridge. When they reached the other side, Markus turned to see the Minotaur get up and walk back to it's 'guard post'. It seemed the creature would not waste it's time on them, which made the knight sigh in relief.

Castitas kissed Markus' cheek after he held her hand. "Maybe Whisper had to report to his mother again, he is risking his neck for us."
As the two continue down there path, a young man crawls from the brush, covered in blood. "Help!" He calls out, reaching and grabbing Castitas's ankle. She screams.
"Are you alright?" She let go of Markus' hand to help the stranger up.
He shook his head. "Some bandits attacked me and took everything I had." He groaned in pain.

Markus turned to see a man covered in blood, he helped the priestess hoist the man to his feet and hold him up, "Don't worry I have some medical supplies, we just need to find a safe and secure place in case those bandits are still around." The knight surveyed the land and saw a small clearing in some trees, "Come on." They slowly, but surely got to the covered area and set the man down. Markus pulled out some medical supplies and was about to treat his wounds when he noticed something quite strange..... There were no wounds, let alone any way for all of this blood to have exited his body, "Sir?" The young knight said curiously, "Are you sure you remember what happened? Cause I see no physical evidence of injury."
