This role play is inspired by the short story Minority Report which was made popular by the Tom Cruise film by the same title. There is an alternate world, but the concept of precogs and their use by crime fighting organisations makes this story close enough to its inspiration to warrant a shout out. Now that I have your attention I will get started with the explanation.

Role Play World / Background

It is 60 years in the future and the world is a very dangerous place. War for water, oil, power, and influence has scared the earth, however from those wounds the earth has finally seen itself under one unified group. The United Post-War Collective or U.P.W.C. was created after the allied forces of the east turned the tide of the global conflict almost overnight with the introduction to a new branch of their military known as Precog Partnerships. The small elite branch was created by bringing together the best from the military and the best from the newest research and development programs dealing with medically induced precog gifted individuals. With one on the battlefield (soldiers) the precog would harmonise with their partner and guild them through any obstacles between them and the desired mission objectives. Stories of one partnership taking down entire invading forces were exasperated but held truths of their brutal efficiency and unkillable presence.

Since the war this branch of the military and its research has begun to be used in many different facets of the newly formed planetary government. It was no surprise that law enforcement was the first to being incorporating precog into their portfolio of crime fighting methods. Soon enough major crime cities began slowly introducing small, military trained, Precog partnerships. The effect was overnight with several international crime organisations crippled at strategic choke points. A new wave of precog partnerships is set to be deployed with politicians promising that this is the first step to a true utopia.

Role Play Characters

My Character: F166 (Male) (26-31)

F166 is an F generation trained precog who was among the final military trained generations with the intent being they would end World War 3. F166 has had two partners before the war ended and he was decommissioned until the request for precogs was sent out in hopes that some would return and join on as civil servant employees. Since there are sever restrictions on what sort of job a person trained as a precog can hold F166 was among the first group to accept the position and was immediately sequestered from the main group and brought into an even more elite crime fighting program aimed at attacking organised crime groups.

It has been almost five months now and F166 has been partnered with __________. They have never met, as is normal for a precog and their partner. Instead the two only know each other by voice and even that is sometimes distorted by the radio earpiece that connects the two. Still recently F166 has at times said several odd and cryptic things to _________ before or after missions as it is the only time he is allowed communication with ____________.

Your Character: ___________ (Female) (25-35)

A career cop who has heard every joke about it being a mans job. The way she shuts them up usually involves a punch to the jaw or a simple kick in the balls. Thankfully her record has now completely silenced all but the most dense headed coworkers. I am happy to leave the rest of this summery to you, but ask that you give a little background (and a name of course) so I can replace this section with your characters background and keep it as a footnote for us to go back to in the role play to fill the character development. For the past five months she has been working with her first precog, F166, the whole practice has taken some getting used to, but after her life was saved three times in one hour during a mission gone bad she has learned to take F166's words as gospel. Always follow and have faith.

Role Play Starting Point

The role play will start in ___________ apartment or condo as she returns home from a normal day of paperwork at her office in the center of downtown (feel free to pick a city) The dull evening quickly picks up when she finds evidence of a break in and is further alert when she finds a dead body wrapped in plastic in the middle of her kitchen with her place slightly wreaked and tossed. Another shock comes from a gunshot coming from her bedroom. As she rushes in a man wearing black is seen collapsed, bleeding from a gun shot wound in the middle of his chest. Another man stands at the window which was not opened when _________ left for work, but is now open. Moving from outside the window into the bedroom the man stands up and ignoring the gun ________ has aimed at him he speaks. "________ we need to leave now" His voice instantly recognised as F166.
