Once Carn drops Kyo off at the fort, he will pick up all new characters and ship them to the squad. And by pick up, I mean essentially kidnap.

Scout (basically rifleman), Shocktrooper (submachine guns and close combat), Lancer (anti-tank unit with big armour-piercing lances) and Engineer (combat engineer with rifle).

Out of the above list, we're in need of Shocktroopers, Lancers and Engineers the most if memory serves.

Shocktroopers more than anything, but I'm flexible. Preferably not another lancer tho.

1 Sniper
*3 Engineers (assuming Bons and Glaive as primarily engineers) *forgot to add Carn.

Yeah, we need more SMGs really. We have potentially four more characters coming now. Sweet.

While it's on my mind, at what point in the plot can I expect James' request for Sniper Training to get fast tracked? I mentioned it when he was initially introduced to the squad and told Harold his role.

After Vasel everyone will get the chance to upgrade to their elite class or switch. Well, we have a mortarer already, but yeah. Hunt is/will be our second sniper, which is why I limited the numbers.

I really need to research this game more. I thought Mortar Lances were just another type of lance, didn't know they were an Elite thing.

Scouts are the most mobile but die if you look at them funny.

Shocktroopers had the most armour (vs infantry) and medium movement, but had powerful SMGs and got flamethrowers when they became elite.

For everyone who doesn't have it and wants it, the autumn sale on steam is coming up. It's usually discounted heavily during all the sales.
