Hey guys! First thing first, I'm a dude from Australia. I finished year 12 a couple of months ago, and recently learned that I got a score high enough to get into the Uni course I want (either ANU or Melbourne science), which is good. My favourite movie of all time is either District 9 or Donnie Darko, my favourite book of all time is either Ender's Game or the His Dark Materials series, and my favourite game is either Halo or Fallout 3. As you can see, I am also indecisive. That's me.
You're probably wondering about the title now. I was introduced to role playing of this kind at the Escapist, where I met some people and started a Mass Effect role play (using a zetaboards forum rather than an Escapist thread). We're still doing that role play over two years later.
They're good people and it's a fun, very relaxed role play. But I want to try something new, so I designed my very own role play based on the DC comic book series 'Suicide Squad' (I am soooooooo pumped for the movie. They hit the nail on the head with Harley I reckon). It has a strange set of rules and stats which I made up from scratch.
I tried to get some feedback on what I had created by posting my set of rules on the Escapist. I did that about two weeks ago, but the response was limited. I get the feeling there was just too much stuff to read and that turned people off. From what I did get, I refined my creation. It is now at the point where I think it can be trialed with some players, but when I opened for recruits, response was limited yet again. I got sick of it and started looking around for a new community to get help from, and this is the first one I chose.
So, the first thing I would appreciate someone telling me; where should I start if I want some criticism/recruiting for my new role play?
