Thank you for taking a moment out of your day to read my role play idea pitch. As you have seen from the title this story will be a science fiction role play. Before I go into details about the plot I want to let you know that in joining this role play means committing to posting at a regular rate. Even if you have no real idea of what to post you can at least react to what others have posted (Something most people enjoy) Adding to the story and scene is of course an expected goal, but more often then not role plays die because everyone is waiting for something else. Don't wait! Just create! With that message I am proud to present the role play Flashback.
The year is 22XX and the galaxy is in a state of complete war. What the human race called the First Encounter War transformed into what the galaxy is currently called the Scale Treachery. The history of these events is massive and to comprehend all that has transpired would take hundreds of thousands of words. Thankfully a short summery will suffice for now. Shortly after humans discovered Faster Then Light or FTL travel they encountered a galactic council of races. These races were hesitant over the inclusion of humans due to their inexperience of the greater place they now traveled. This quickly turned violent as humans fought against any and all regulation of their exploration. Within two human generations all out war was being waged between humans and the races of the council.
The war went on for decades. Having expanded so quickly humans were unable to protect their territories and human colonies numbering in the thousands were slaughtered before any true unified front was able to put up a resistance against the councils superior numbers and technology. The war was never really even as the council methodically stomped out colony after colony. Soon the only remaining forces were those found in and around the star system known as Solar. Humans still lived throughout the galaxy, but were small in number and military strength. It was at this time that the two species the Tid and the Frir abandoned the council and turned their own armies on the remaining war machine which was still focused on the human home clusters.
The damage to the council was decimating. The attack was strategic and calculation. Within the span of one earth year the two species had taken control of several Council home planets. The remaining council species had no choice but to abandon their siege on Earth. Instead for several months they committed completely to regaining control of their own quadrants of the galaxy. A task that seemed impossible. The game changer is a secret ship contrived of combining human and council technology. What had quickly come to light after the Scale betrayal was that several key events that lead to the First Contact war were staged and planned by the Tid and Frir. With the new found alliance the multi-species crew gathered on board the secret ship. Their mission is to utilize the ships advanced stealth engine to sneak into enemy control sectors and assist all guerrilla wars currently being waged by occupied regions of space.
The goal of this role play is to have a diverse crew and the struggle for trust and teamwork. There will be action in this role play, but I want it to take a backseat to honest character development and the main story. There will be some major plot points that will alter character alignments and test the crew to their very core (And not just the engine drive core!) For this role play I will be taking on the ships Captain. I will require someone to take on a female character who will play the First Officer position on the ships crew. There will be a few key additions to this character so if interested please let me know if interest. There is a possible chance of romance between the two characters, but it is not required.
I am going to give you the character sheet for this to see what sort of races and ideas people who are interested bring. Just ask if you have any question.
