[IC] City Comes to the Country (Tyler Night and Whitelily)

[Tyler Night]

"We are gonna be reaching a rocky shoreline soon that looks over to the U.P. again from the north side of the island. We can stop there and enjoy the view."

He says with a smile.

"May even be able to see a freighter. They pass through often."

"Do you like big boats, and you cannot lie?"

Ele smirked, as they came to the shore line and she parked her bike. Climbing off, Ele waited for Tyler before heading onto the rocks to look for more colorful stones or smoothed glass while they waited to see if a freighter would come by.

He chuckles.

"That was bad."

Walking out with her, he puts his arm around her, placing his hand on her side, right on the edge of her hip. Standing there he looks out over the lake.

"Boats are fun but freighters are a sight to behold, especially in a freshwater lake."

"I try."

The reply was unapologetic, but Ele put her arms around Tyler as his hand rested on her hip. Her eyes were scanning the ground beneath them for rocks, but as the water lapping in front of them intensified, Ele looked up and smiled as she spotted a massive freight ship slowly making its way up the lake,

"I never really realized how big they are, despite seeing them almost every day in the city."

[Tyler Night]

"Yeah, up to a half mile long, though most of them coming through are a quarter mile long."

He says still holding onto her.

"Just imagine. Looks that big but it is probably 5 miles out right now."

Impressed by the size, Ele smiled up at Tyler, but soon went back to rock searching. She had seen thousands of freighters in the Bay before, so she quickly lost interest in the boat in front of her. Scanning the ground and wandering a bit away from Tyler, Ele bent down to collect a couple stones that caught her interest.

[Tyler Night]

"Have fun, you should be able to find agates out here if you dig deep enough."

He says as he lays down in the rocks away from the water. Smiling over at her he works his way down into the rocks just looking up at the sky.

"Nothing like nature to get you to relax huh?"

Crouched in the rocks, Ele looked back towards Tyler and nodded her agreement,

"It's nice to be disconnected from everyone and just have some time together."

Picking up a couple more stones that looked promising, Ele went to Tyler and sat down next to him, laying the stones one by one on his stomach so she could inspect them more carefully.

"I could make these into small souvenir pieces if they're pretty."

[Tyler Night]

"Absolutely could. My mom makes arts and crafts, maybe you could learn some things from her to sell. You would enjoy it I am sure."

He says, watching her place the stones on his stomach.

"There are some trinket shops around here, we can stop in and check out the stones and stuff they have there."

"I would have to ask her to teach me how to cut and polish them,"

Ele agreed, albeit nervously, as she separated some of the stones and placed them back on the shore to leave,

"Youtube would also teach me nicely."

[Tyler Night]

"Oh no, she doesn't cut and polish stones, she makes dreamcatchers and other native american crafts."

After she removes the stones he sits up.

"I do have a rock polisher though that I never actually used. Had it since I was a kid."

"I'll check it out,"

She promised, pocketing a few of the stones and putting a few in Tyler's bigger pockets,

"I really should do something with all these rocks though, like, get a shoebox to keep them contained up I decide whether or not I can actually make them into something."

Leaning over, Ele kissed Tyler deeply,

"But for now, let's just focus on getting our store up and running!"

[Tyler Night]

Kissing her back he smiles.

"Yeah, couple weeks and we should be rolling with it."

He says sitting up.

"See if I can do this."

Rolling back from his seated position he brings his legs back and rolls his back leaving only his shoulders and head touching the ground. He plants his hands and suddenly kicks his legs up and pushes off with his arms, doing a kip up. He laughs.

"Yes! Finally did it."

He says looking at Ele.

"Alright, lets go."

"Show off!"

Ele laughed, then set off at a sudden sprint back towards the bikes,

"Catch up slow poke!"

She called over her shoulder, scrambling over the rocks to get to the bikes first.

[Tyler Night]

He takes off, his feet covering more rocks so he easily covers the ground to the bikes much quicker. Reaching the bikes just a second before her.

"6'1, size 17 shoes, cover more ground more easily."

He says with a chuckle.

"Yeah well, we're not all blessed with flippers for feet!"

Huffing, Ele put her hands on her hip and pouted at Tyler,

"You know, sometimes you're supposed to let your girlfriend win at play competitions like this!"

[Tyler Night]

"Hey, you have beat me a couple times. You remember the slot car race?"

He looks at her, sticking his tongue out a little.

"But you know what I will always win in?"

He asks her, stepping closer. About the time she could get a word in he pokes her and starts tickling her ribs and neck.

"Noooo!"

Ele howled, swatting at Tyler's hands and trying to wiggle away from the tickling fingers,

"No fair!"

She cried, trying to tickle Tyler back in retaliation, but being almost a full foot shorter than her boyfriend, Ele's couldn't get a good angle on Tyler.

[Tyler Night]

"All is fair in love and war!"

Grabbing her he lifts her up into the air, holding onto her.

"Like this vantage point babe?"

Suddenly up in the air, Ele gasped, her hands going down to hold on to Tyler's shoulders,

"Yes,"

She said dryly with a touch of sarcasm, a smile playing on her lips,

"I can almost touch the International Space Station! Do you have to duck when a satellite comes by?"
