Unique? Well, that certainly was one way to put it.

But... teach her how to master it? Kanako felt her heart lift with hope at the prospect. No more falling through her bed in the middle of the night? No more falling through the floor of her shower, naked and dripping wet, into that old lady who lived beneath her's apartment?

It sounded, to be honest, too good to be true. She was so distracted by that thought that she almost missed the fact that a robot --'Smokey', apparently-- was beeping out a greeting to her. "Um, hello!" she said, unsure of how to properly greet a robot.

She was dreading the test that they were apparently going to make her take. What if they made her use her powers? Could she manage to phase quickly enough that her clothes didn't get left behind?

Also, there was apparently an interview. And then she saw Taro.

"Taro!" she squealed, suddenly feeling much better. He fell into step with her, and she bumped his arm with her elbow. "Man, I am so glad you're here!"
She really was. Facing the boss? Okay, so he was a bit of a dragon, but he'd be nothing with Taro by her side! They were, after all, the masters of shenanigans, the greatest Knight-Esper duo to walk the earth!

Or so Kanako liked to tell herself, anyway. Even if her powers weren't really up to scratch, Taro's physical abilities totally made up for them! ...right?

"Of course I'll face the boss with you," she told him. Kanako bit her lip. "Buuuuut I'm honestly a little more worried about this test. I mean... is it a combat test? I'm really not keen on dying today."

"Kill you? Nah, you'll be fine. There's no way an office worker test is meant to kill you. Wait, there's boredom..." Taro responded. "And honestly, after dealing with the boss, I think we're prepared for anything."
Taro stretched, mentally preparing for the test. He wasn't sure what it was, but if it was something physical, he'd probably be fine. Unless a meteor crashed into him or something, but that would be stupid. A mental test would be alright too, but he was more worried about Kanako. Taro knew that she was relatively average (besides the phasing), and she skipped out a lot on classes. Actually, Taro would've figured that she would do better on a mental test than a physical one, which may have been true, but he wasn't so sure now. Would she actually be alright?

He shrugged in dismissal. No need to worry about it. If she wasn't exactly up to scratch, they'd still probably hire her out of desperation. And besides, it's not like she missed every class. At least, Taro assumed she didn't.

As they walked along, Taro noticed that Kanako was still in her uniform.
"Oh, did you just come out of school?" Taro asked. "Which class did you skip out on this time?"

Airus reach back and took the guys paper work."You two can talk for awhile. I have to go clear a little paper work and get a room for testing. So relax, staff rooms on the right if you want to grab some soda's." He said dissipating into the offices once he had finished. Smokey stood by the wall waiting for Airus's return.

Airus took a seat at his desk humming as he worked checking over forms and passing them to the bots to take up to receptionist. He groaned as he set up a room for his new recruits to test. He decided the girl would get a choice to take the physical exam or not. The guy, well he was Knight and testing Knights meant going toe to toe with him. Maybe it wouldn't be a boring day after all. Then again they would have to wait and see, he could just be crap Knight or something.
