Character Name: Dorian Laux

Gender: Male (though androgynous)

Age: 20

Character Skill(s): Dorian is incredibly gifted with computers and robotics. Ever since he was a child he was fascinated by them and had a knack for figuring out how they worked. He can quickly hack into systems, build and take apart electronics. Deeply interested in Millius and Cybrolix, Dorian devoted all of his studies to their fields, hoping one day to be part of the company. He also took a martial arts class, so he knows how to defend himself.

Fatal Flaw(s): Because of the flaws in his cerebral implants, Dorian has been rendered insane to the point where daily functions are nearly impossible. His insanity is driven by cybernetics however, and is not the usual documented schizophrenia that we know of. Therefore, there are times when he can maintain his normal state of mind and accomplish tasks, but it requires intense focus, concentration and sometimes guidance. Harder tasks like hacking a door or subduing an attacker would be much more difficult for him to accomplish than remembering to eat three times a day, especially under stress.

Biography: Dorian Laux is a physically healthy young man, though a passerby might have to look twice before concluding that he indeed was a man. His face is bland, neither feminine nor masculine, is framed by longish dark brown hair, and his body does not possess typical male or female curves at all. Other than this little oddity, before he received the BigWorld implant he was a normal and bright boy. When he first received it, he was thrilled. It helped him immensely with his studies in computer science in college while simultaneously fascinating him. After some time though, there were hiccups. Unsettling ripples in his psyche. Sometimes there were visions, sometimes voices. When those disappeared, they were replaced by a complete inability to control his actions. His mind would wander far beyond the borders of normal thought without provocation. There were days when eating nothing but marshmallows seemed like a good idea, and there were more dangerous days when jumping onto the roof of a moving car was the quickest and cheapest mode of transportation. Dorian's behavior was noticed quickly by those around him, and he was soon admitted to the hospital, though Cybrolix is eager to cover up his condition. His parents have not yet been told of his hospitalization, they still believe that he is in school.
