Half Saiyans get tails, as proof with Gohan having one as a child. As for Goten and Trunks, it is speculated that they do not have tails, but Krillin does ask Bulma if she cut Trunks tail off, but she never answers. So I suppose they could possibly have Tails, though it would grow back unless it was cut off.

Trunks and Goten where born after their fathers were able to go super saiyan, which if I remember correctly initially was described (from a lore perspective, but I could be misremembering) as being somehow a 'condensed' form of going great ape, that is to say that super saiyan was the great ape power-up, without the great ape.

We can rationalize it as: If parent has ever gone super saiyan before birth of child, no tail, otherwise tail.

I think that was also the case of why they were able to go Super Saiyan so easily, so if your parent is a Saiyan and the other parent is Human, and your Saiyan parent never went Super Saiyan, it won't be so easy for you. That and considering a half-breed doesn't have the combat drive as much as a regular Saiyan has, it might hinder them to becoming Super Saiyans.

I know that feeling, sometimes when I read through new posts of an RP other people are doing and they change their avatar and sig, I get super confused.

I agree, Earth is probably best. Although I don't visit it's exterior much, I've seen pictures and it seems pretty nice.

Kek aside, DB earth was packed with a lot of adventures (usually based around Japanese mythology and folk stories) we might be able to touch on.
