Personality:His hungry childhood in the Famine striken Ireland made him bitter, cynincal and angry towards God, the world and the English. He resents them for the Famine and for the way he was "welcomed" in the mainland: mocked, abused and exploited. Not being able to take revenge on all of the English, he will have to be satisfied with slicing open the throat of the bastard whose first few murders he was wrongly accused of.

description: his childood of trying to create arable land for his family's crops, plus the ten hard years of working in an english coal mine made him into a strong man. Not a big or bulky man but of undeniable strength. He always wears a paddy hat and has a pocket knife, handy for peeling oranges as colourful as his beard and to shush any cocky who wishes to comment on the lack of existence of his soul.

Description:
He's lived in London all his life, and was somewhat well-off, despite his Irish parentage. Over the years, especially during his later education and university days, he developed his skills of deduction and ended up becoming a private detective. Years later, seeing the police's seeming inability to deal with the recent string of murders, he's taken it upon himself to solve them.
Physically fit, though not bulky, and standing at about 5"10 and he particularly enjoys boxing. He parts his dark hair to one side, sideburns extending just to the earlobes, and is usually clean-shaven (think Daniel Radcliffe in the Woman in Black). His eyes are a blue-gray.

An Older Constable who lived in London for all of his life. He feels that he is the only one in the Force who wants this Lunatic put away for good. He is always focused on his work, and while he isn't in the fittest of shape, will do anything to the extent of the law to put this mad man away.

Personality: Nova is the type to rely on her instincts rather than the advisements of others. She has a tendency to act based off of her emotions instead of stopping to think things through first. Her intentions are well placed, however, nothing she does is ever to intentionally harm another, but she has a habit of putting herself first.

Description: Nova has a porcelain complexion, pale to the point of seeming as ghost-like as the spirits she communicates with. She stands at a height of 5'8", tall for a woman, and has long, wavy black hair that falls down to mid-back.

Alignment: Chaotic Good
Abilities: Nova is sensitive to shifts in energy, especially those connected with strong emotions. This sensitivity allows her to make general readings of people and places. Beyond that she can see and communicate with spirits that have yet to move on due to strong emotional connections to their death, common in murders.

Once, to prove her abilities to someone, Nova allowed such a spirit to use her body to speak through. However the stress it put her body under resulted in a several day loss of consciousness. She has refused to allow 'possession' since.
