So hey, I run The Twelve Labours writing contest, and with the third contest looming on the horizon I find myself in something of a predicament concerning my preestablished contest archives. Part of the reward for clearing the challenges is that the Victors have their stories permanently listed in an Archive, which has a permanent link in my signature. I also post in both the News and Roleplay Discussion subforums announcing the end of the contest and congratulating the winners.
Problem: I cannot make any new posts in my archive or in my victory announcement threads (in the first case I was unable to post additional content a mere 24 days after the original post). For the announcement threads I made do just by creating new duplicates, but as far as the archives go I had to forgo listing the winners entirely due to the length of the entries involved. With the third contest opening soon, I don't want to have to create spam in the forums by posting duplicate threads when there are still perfectly good announcement threads that I could just update - IF I could post in them. Similarly, I don't want to clog the Writing Contest subforum with innumerable victory threads, especially since the number of threads in that subforum is already relatively sparse.
Any suggestions?
