Darkness and Light

Every soul harbors darkness within them, every soul has a light. This is the common belief among the human occupants of this world - they did not know that there were those hidden among them that were nothing but evil disguised very well. Everyone lived in peace with each other, the non-humans - the supernaturals - and the humans alike.

This was until one being rose and began a rebellion against the throne, a Dark Lord raising an army out of those with more evil inside them then good. War and chaos ensued. For centuries it has been nothing but war and secrets.

Can you trust those close to you?

Would you?

Do you fight for your own desires, or for a King?

I know, sounds generic lol. But it's an idea nonetheless. A fantasy setting that I hope can come back to life again with the help of you guys, the players. I have a few locations and a CS skeleton already, which you can make up however you like. I'm looking for players who will willingly help me develop this world and make it more intricate than ever.

Please, ask any questions or make suggestions as you like. For now, here's all I have on locations.

The Kingsguard

The Kingsguard has not always existed in the kingdom's but there was a time when kings were in much greater danger than they are now and the band of seven knights was brought together under the name Kingsguard and trusted with the royal family's safety.

When a knight of the Kingsguard takes his vows they oath to their gods:

• They will hold no lands
• They will father no children
• They will hold no titles
• They will serve no one but their King and his legitimate blood family
• They will give their lives to protect the royal family if the time arises
• They will remain in service until the day they die
• They will obey their King without question amid execute his wishes

The Kingsguard is traditionally talk male warriors raised by proud families, or a well established knight.

Home of the royal family and base of the main bulk of the military in the kingdom.

The Ridge

Mountains and valleys full of trees, beautiful waterfalls abundant wildlife. Neutral ground and untouched by any of the Overlord or Kings men for hundreds of thousands of years. Unclaimed for a reason, no one has ever gone to this territory and returned at all, everyone stepping into the mist at the base of the mountains vanishing without ever a trace of them. If they found anything they were eaten before they could leave to tell of it.
Trees stand thousands of feet tall, undergrowth so dense that only the smallest of animals may run through it, the largest over it. Mountains tall enough they seemed to vanish into the sky, so far above the Lords that even dragons would not be able to clear the top of it.
Legends tell of the Dragon Lords going to these ancient formations, of warriors who dare to brave them and return home on the back of a giant flying beast. It was not since the Lords vanished as well that anyone has ever left these mountains alive. Dragons believed to be long extinct and magic here that none have seen or used since the coming of humans to this land.
There are many things to be found here if only they could be found.

The Overlords Domain

Doesn't officially have a name, but it's settled on what the humans tend to call 'the badlands' on the edge of the mountains with cliffs and rivers.

Rosewood Church

A cathedral that sits in neutral ground of the war, the many priestess, priests, monks, nuns and other religious (people) vowing to help all who need it regardless of their choice of beliefs. Rosewood church will take in anyone, no matter their race or past.
This church was built before the Trance kingdom became the ruling force of the country, when the Dragon Lords still ruled the wild land and 'survival of the fittest' reigned supreme over those that did live here. It was and still is a refuge for the injured, the hunted and the lost.
It is also home to an unknown assassin guild with very few operatives within the church and few making jobs for themselves. This guild has four members currently alive, and has been here since long before humans came to the land.

The Ruins of Alverton

Alverton at one time was the trading hub of the entire Kingdom, busy and loud with children's laughter. Now it lays only in rubble. No building stands fully and the fields around the ruins still to this day do not bear life. Its empty and next to silent. Wild life avoids these ruins and warriors tread around to keep respect for the resting. Some time after the last battle waged someone buried the bodies each with their own grave marker in the destroyed fields.

Personally I would prefer the Dark Lord as that. A Lord, meaning a man. There are powerful females to play as well of course if you would like to make one of his seven instead.

Kind of. There is a fatal flaw with it and they're weak to large quantities of water. It's a mostly serious rp so try not to be too silly. Just like your normally armless character wouldn't exist here because she would have been left to die for the deformity.

A slime is a monster type traditional to MMORPG's. It's a lower level creature that's usually only level one to five, since it's for beginner characters to slaughter by the dozens in the beginning. In other applications of the creature, like Dungeons and Dragons, it's a mass of semi-intelligent gunk that eats everything in it's path. By eat, I mean absorb and dissolve inside of the jello-like mess of disgusting crap. They're really not that smart and very slow learners but they're capable of mimicking the way others look for a limited amount of time but they're easy to figure out because of how sticky they are.

Yeah, I don't plan on having an armless character here, she would die right away, anyways my character is actually REALLY weak to cold, she also can't swim so jumping in water isn't and option

Weapons(s): Spoony has been known to use a rather sharp and regal looking shovel.

Abilities/Powers: Spoony can make her body acidic and melt almost anything it touches. Spoony is also highly heat resistant and can stick a limb in a furnace and feel none of the heat. Spoony is however rather weak to cold as a result of this heat resistance.

Talent(s): Spoony is a very talented Blacksmith, She has been known to forge many great weapons, though she loves turning ordinary objects into weapons more than anything.

Personality: Spoony is very upbeat, even if someone is about to betray her she always tries to look on the bright side of things. If she see’s someone acting Gloomy she tries to make them smile, if she can’t get them to smile she gets mad. Spoony hides her slime from others due to her previously being ridiculed and looked down on when she was in her slime form playing with others.

Biography: Spoony was born in a forest with other slimes. However at an early age she learned how to take on human form. Spoony was left behind by her slime family in the winter when they wanted to merge to keep warm. Spoony however didn’t want to do such a thing and was instead left behind to die. However she was taken in by a passing blacksmith who served the royal family. Spoony later started to learn the art of being a blacksmith. She later surpassed her adopted father. Spoony lived rather happily with her adopted father and often helped him around his shop. However her father’s heart proved too dark and he left to so serve the Dark Lord, leaving Spoony behind without a single word. Spoony as since continued to be the Royal Blacksmith.
