Appearance: Weedy young man with messy brown hair and large glasses which give him an owl like expression. Got a bit overzealous when told he was going to be a warden and started wearing camouflage trousers and a trench coat with several extra pockets sewn in. Has a bandanna with protective spells sewn into it as he's a bit paranoid about mind magic
Abilities: Damien's evocation specialities are with the wind element, and his thaumaturgy specialisation is in somniomancy(dream magic).
Rote spells
Schnell: He uses the wind to increase the speed at which he can move, creating a vortex which reduces his weight by pulling him up slightly. This spell makes dodging attacks easier than if he was moving normally.
verteidigen: Summoning up a vortex around himself or around someone close by Damien can protect them from some dangers. The wind isn't nearly strong enough to stop bullets or anything that fast moving, but bows and arrows, crossbows, throwing knives and other projectiles will get blow off course by the wind
Kraft: Damien's only offensive spell. He creates a ball of concentrated air in front of his target and then lets it expand. Depending on how much air this can result in anything from being knocked down to killed.
Special items: Wand(Focus item) a willow wand with a spiralling shape used to focus his more subtle supportive magic. A glove with metal plates forged from various wind chimes he used to own for offensive magic. Finally a sleeping potion he uses to send people or himself into a deep sleep.
Items: A rucksack containing chalk, empty bottles for potions, various different objects to use in constructing spells, water bottle, Tupperware containing dry food that he hopes will last a while. Sleeping bag rolled up on top.
Personality: Damien is twitchy by nature, naturally hyperactive, and before he learned properly about the magical world he was a conspiracy theorist convinced that magic existed. Before he learned of his own magic he took a bandanna and sewed defensive magic into it(completely useless as it turned out) but he keeps it on him to remind him of where he came from.
Background: Damien was a conspiracy theorist convinced that magic existed, turned out he was right. His activity on the web attracted the attention of White Court vampires who lured him into a trap to feast on his despair. Instead of crumbling under their mental attacks something ignited in his mind and the next thing Damien knew he was waking up in an alley with a massive headache and two unconscious vampires sprawled several meters away. The miniature tornado attracted the attention of the authorities and, luckily for Damien, a member of the paranet. Recognising white court she spirited him away before the police could arrive. When the paranet learned just how strong his magic was they introduced him to the council. The warden commander Luccio was a bit apprehensive given his erratic nature but his defensive and supportive magic was too useful to give up. He has a place in the wardens but only just.

Appearance: Alistair is not the tallest guy around, coming in at around 5'7" with sandy colored hair and a fair complexion. His wiry athletic build is complimented by his icy blue stare.

Abilities: Evocation specialty: Air, Thaumaturgy focus: Wards

Rote spells: Rakurai (uses his gauntlet focus item) A bolt of lightning strikes his target, it's hard to keep the power down, so Alistair will likely not use this unless the situation gets serious.
Furyoku A gust of wind rushes in the direction Alistair desires. Strength can vary from a light breeze to bone breaking force.

Special items: Gauntlet (focus item) a metal glove that helps Alistair store up electricity for any number of spells, most commonly Rakurai. A telescoping staff (collapsed length about 1.5', using a practiced movement it fully extends to 5' extremely quickly, takes longer to collapse though) Engraved with runes to help him be more versatile, with a slight focus in earth magic.

Items: Messenger bag that normally contains a notebook, pens and pencils, some chalk, a few candles, some matches, whatever novel he happens to be reading at the time, and a little bit of spending money.

Personality: Alistair is a fairly upbeat guy, always looking for the silver lining, and trying to cheer up his team with jokes and optimism, though he will occasionally become quiet and seek solitude to be alone with his thoughts.

Background: Alistair's first experience with magic was a violent one. When he was just 14 a Warlock on the run from a squad of Wardens burst into his parents home in the middle of the night and immediately began tearing the place apart trying to make it more fortified. The noise woke the whole family and as Alistair went downstairs to investigate he began to feel... Strange... he didn't know how to describe it, just new pressures being forced onto his perceptions, coupled with the sounds of roaring flame. Everything after that became a blur of images and emotions. The charred remains of his parents. Pain. A knife at his throat. Screaming. Strange faces in grey cloaks. Rushing wind. More pain. Then darkness.
When he awoke several days later one of the grey cloaked men from before introduced himself as Coleman Stryker and explained the situation. He had been taken hostage, and used his first spell to knock his parents killer away from himself, allowing the wardens to finish him off. the neural feedback of the spell caused him to black out. When he got out of the hospital he began to study and grow under Stryker, and now he does everything he can to make sure that no one ever has to go through his pain, ever again, and he joined the Wardens 2 years ago to do just that.

Jade Wong

Name: Jade Delphina Gwendolyn Ashburn-Wong
Harry’s not the only one that gets a stupidly long name!
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Appearance: Jade 5’3” and 105 lb. She has long black hair, pale skin and dark eyes. Jade is a mix of French, English and Chinese which makes her looks hard to pin down. She looks European enough to be mistaken for one but her Chinese heritage gave her features to make people think ‘She’s not quite from here is she?’ Although she seems delicate, don’t let it fool you. She’s stronger than she looks.

Abilities: Evocation= Fire, Thaumaturgy= Transportation/Worldwalking

Rote spells:
Azu- Jade’s style is precision. With this spell she is able to rapidly pull thermo energy out of a target. This appears to the naked eye like spontaneous combustion but the ‘fire’ is just the friction burn of drawing heat away so quickly.
Roux- BOOM! Well that’s what this spell is. After using Azu or if the environment has enough thermo energy, Jade can set the air on fire. The power of the spell is dependent on the heat of the place, extreme heat can create an explosion but the weaker form would be a fire quickly spreading and burning itself out.
Himi- A more traditional fire spell it looks more like Luccio’s fire. A thin lance of white fire that can be mistaken for a laser beam.

Special items:
Ring- Her main focus item. It is two rings entwined together made from white jade and green jade, lined with a band of silver and gold. She wears it on her right hand middle finger.

The Leather duster! Enchanted coat- Though not as cool as Harry’s, Jade’s coat serves a similar purpose. It's a black leather coat that reaches her midthigh. Since she’s very physical in combat it's made to withstand most blows and very fire resistant.

Obsidian Glass- This is an item that looks like a monocle. Its a piece of obsidian glass edged with gold. Its enchanted to give anyone who looks through it a weaker version of the Wizard’s sight. Its good for looking through veils, traps, and other enchantments. The one interesting aspect of this item is that it can see closed portals to the Never Never. For example, if a sorcerer went through the never never and closed the portal, the glass can see where exactly the portal was made. If it is recent enough (within 1-3 minutes of closing), the glass can connect to the exact spot. So when Jade opens a new portal, it’ll be like opening the same door connecting to the same place and time in the Never Never. Super useful in chasing people down.

Items: Hair ties (you never know when you’ll need it), Chalk, Pen and notebook, dagger

Personality: Jade is self confident and reassured and isn’t the shy type. But she is soft spoken and goes with the flow for the most part but will take initiative if she feels strongly about something. She tries not to rely on others but has been learning how to be a team player.

Background: Jade is the granddaughter of a White Council member by the name of Matthew Ashburn. From what Jade could piece together, Matthew met her grandmother while on a mission in China when he was still a young man. There was an affair and Matthew left without knowing the affair produced a child. Because of having a mixed child the family was moved to Hong Kong.Her half Chinese-English mother married a french navy officer and they had Jade.

Jade grew up relatively normal. She was athletic and intelligent and excelled in school and her martial arts. After watching so many Bruce Lee and KungFu movies she wanted to be like that. So she was enrolled in the Wing Chun school of martial arts (the same one that Bruce Lee attended). Life would have continued on normally with no sign of her developing magic until she got mixed up in a chase.

Long story short, a rogue sorcerer fled through the Never never and ended up in an alley Jade used as a short cut. After a short tussle and Jade panicking, she set the sorcerer on fire (which she later reworked in Azu). Matthew was one of the warden pursuing the sorcerer and after an awkward family reunion and lots of explanations later, he took on Jade as his apprentice.

Other: Bruce Lee nut (She’s working on her one inch punch). She still continued with her martial arts training even as an apprentice making her one of the more physical combatants of the wardens. Besides the standard Latin, she knows French, English, Cantonese-Chinese, and Mandarin-Chinese.

Regan Shauna O'Bagley

Name: Regan Shauna O'Bagley

Gender: Female
Appearance: Regan Is a towering and imposing figure, Standing at a solid 6'2'' and build like your average farm hand With a musculature that speak to someone who not only spends a great deal of her time doing hard labor but who works to maintain what she'd call 'a battle ready body'. Her hair is long, fiery red, and carefully braided at all times. Her eyes a dark, subtly rich, green reminiscent of pine-trees. Her casual ware is nothing outlandish or remarkable, though given her crafting talents she tends to have a fair bit of jeweler on her when on active ops, especially when she knows what to prep for.

Role Spells:
Domhan Bhru - This spell creates a violent surge of gravity that launches upwards with great force. amount of force varies on energy used of course.

Cre Rince- With a thrust or a swing of her wacker she causes the ground before her to ripple in a line about shoulder width apart. this can be subtle enough to be nearly undetectable with the force enough to make someone unexcitedly stumble, or violent enough that the earth splintering in the waves wake, becoming treacherous to walk on and impacts with battering ram force. Think of a pane of glass breaking in slow motion in terms of the visual. Except in a straight line.

Deisithe Lamha- Her only evocation style healing spell. Her emergency medical application so to speak. By laying hands on someone who is dangerously wounded, forcing the area to rapidly mend. It takes a massive amount of energy to perform and she must maintain physical contact with the wounded party. She'd prefer to not have to use this technique if at all possible save for emergencies where anything less that immediate action would result in the lose of life.

Speciel Items:
'The Wacker'
A sizable walking stick, almost more like a cane fit for her significant size, coming just above her waist. In truth it is an oversize shillelagh that functions as her staff. Good for earth magic's and decent for raw force, and serviceable for the various other elements outside of her expertise. Also good melee weapon, hard to beat a good old fashion cudgel for breaking heads eh?

A sliver necklace carved with all sorts of old runs, her primary defensive tool, by activating it with the phrase 'Timpeall' she creates a defensive sphere of gravity about herself, that literally causes object either orbit around her in about a 3 yard radius or if they are solid enough/coming with enough force to be rebounded back, magic/stamina allowing of course.

A pair of special gloves and boots, when she runs power through them they allow her to manipulate gravity in close proximity to those items in really rudimentary way. To repel or attract. Handy for climbing up walls, deflecting blows in close combat, or getting a really well aimed punch on a slippery foe.

'The Sack'

A large over-the shoulder messenger bag that carries her various crafting tools and medical supplies. It is be spelled leather to make it extra durable and help protect the sometimes delicate supplies inside. As such it makes a handy last minute shield.

Items: Chalk, Spools of copper, silver, and gold wire, glass vials for collecting the sort of things that need to be collected in vials, large pocket knife, swiss army knife, an ugly, old, iron pocket watch with the 5 pointed star of magic engraved on the outside of it. Pen and paper for notes/crafting plans/ect.

Personality: Regan is a...passionate young woman. She never does anything by halves and if she is going to feel something she is going to feel it strongly. This leads to her having something of a short temper though luckily she couldn't hold a grudge to save her life. She may be screaming made at you one minute but an hour later she'd half forgotten what she had even yelled about.

Background: While not super rare, Regan is one of those few born to a pair of White Counsel parents. Father was a member of the healers beneath High Councilor Listens To Wind, and her mother is known to be a warden of ridged discipline if not harshly fair when dealing with her subordinates. As Such Regan grew up mostly in the magical world and not the mortal one. Given both of her parents extremely busy life styles working for the White Counsel, A good deal of her early childhood was with great great grand parents on the family farm, where her love of physical activity and working with her hands began.

When she came into her magic she spent most of her time in a boot-camp-like apprenticeship with her parents. Given such intense tutelage and already having a good deal of her life dictated and informed by her knowledge that the supernatural was real she quickly made wizard and then warden status, even before the war began and ever hand was needed.

Others: Growing up in rural Irish farm lands with grandparents who's most advance tech was the radio and parents who could care less about the modern times, she is largely ignorant of popular culture.

Name: James(Jimmy) Thurber
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Appearance: Jimmy stands at 5'11 with a medium build. He's not fat, there's muscle, it's just that muscle can only do so much when your constantly eating fast foods and sweets because there's not enough time for everything else. He wears his long black hair in a ponytail. He has a rare condition which causes his eyes to be different colors(Left brown, right green.)
Abilities:
Evocation- Spirit
Thaumaturgy- Conjuration

Role spells:
Inanis-Jimmy focuses on a spot and snaps his fingers pushing everything physical out of a space the size of a soccer ball, creating a vacuum resulting in an implosion.
Lamma-Jimmy creates blades of will and launches them at opponents.
Levate-Jimmy can point at an object and then point again for where he wants the object to go. Currently the maximum weight of an object he can lift with this spell is fifty pounds and the maximum speed in which he can send it is 75 mph.

Special items:
Staff-A three foot long staff made from quebracho wood. Its his primary focus.
Gold Ring-Constantly absorbs light(Sun, stars, artificial.) Which he can released in a moment's notice. The only problem is if the ring is exposed to sunlight it quickly starts overloading so he either has to regularly empty the vessel, or wear a leather glove to keep it from light.
Magical Windbreaker- A black windbreaker jacket covered in black symbols, which when activate glow white and project a field of will which vastly decreases friction, allowing the user to move much faster.

Items: Travelling Sack, Chalk, Army Knife, pens, a small notebook, salt, and a magnetic board that you could play chess and checkers on.
Personality: Normally quiet, unless he's found someone who he's comfortable talking to. Jimmy doesn't say much but when he does its usually whatever's going on in his own internal world slipping out, ie he, he doesn't normally take time think if what he's going to say needs to be said and if it needs to be said by him. Despite always trying leave his choices up to logic Jimmy is a very emotional human being and has trouble doing things that conflict with what his heart says.
Background: Jimmy's life started easily enough. He came out of a woman after that woman had sex with a man she never saw again for the rest of her life. He grew up with a mother who though too busy sometimes, always made sure he stayed on the right track, and never hesitated to give him a good smack when she felt he wasn't veering a bit too much to the left, which didn't happen often thanks to his heroes always being those characters in comic books who went through all those negative phases before his vary eyes. This went on till around the age of eleven when he accidentally destroyed a video game arcade, and the wardens found him. They didn't execute him which was good and even gave him an opportunity to join their ranks, protect the vanilla mortals and get some extra cash to help his single mother with the bills.

Appearance: 5ft 5inches, green eyes, shoulder-length black hair with part of it tied into a braid down his back, his body type is quite lanky weighing probably no more than 130-40 lbs, green eyes, a well kept beard in the Honest Abe style covers his face, and although his voice is fairly baritone he speaks in North American phrases of speech though his exact accent is muddled.

Role Spells:

"Lind"-Casts a Telekinetic Shield in front of himself, strong enough to deflect most projectiles, and can even cast small projectiles back with a degree of precision, but acts merely as a shield at anything larger than a baseball bat. Designed as a personal spell, not designed for protect multiple people.

"Feldr"-Casts a veil over Gideon, anything on his person, and anything he touches, rendering him invisible to most senses (Barring sound, smell, and Third eyes)

Special Items:

Neo-Pagan Talisman: An Old Norse Triquetra adorns his neck, made of silver and inscribed with tiny motifs of Odin, Thor, and Freya in their separate corners, it hangs by an iron chain around his neck, serving as a reservoir for his power.

Bag of Ghost-Dust: Used in his profession for dealing with corporeal forms of ghosts and spirits who prove hostile towards him.

Tattoo of Yggdrasil: Depicting Odin hanging from the World Tree itself, it is inscribed on the right side of his neck and extends onto his right pectoral and shoulder. Inscribed in runes warding against spirits and motes of Ghost-dust into the pigment, it glows starts to glow when spirits are close, with the pigment turning from black to white the closer a spirit is, though the colour indicator is for others to notice, Gideon feels it as heat on the tattooed skin as it changes colour.

Items: Satchel with his ectomancy implements: ritualized knife, several candles and matches, chalk, a small handbook on runes and their meaning, a Ouija board, salt, several sticks of incense, and a mortar and pedestal. His hooded Grey Cloak and enchanted sword (Gram) symbolizing his office as a Warden of The White Council of Wizards, and his wallet containing his ID, Canadian driver's license, and business cards.

Personality: Gideon is quite reserved in his behaviour, often seeming aloof in his own thoughts and speaking few words, he has generally preferred solitude (relatively speaking, he finds the dead more fascinating than most of the living at times) over interaction with others. His introverted nature isn't helped by the fact that he is a wizard, but he is loyal to his friends and allies, and isn't entirely a loner, he just prefers to keep a professional distance in most social matters. He's quite stoic in his emotions, though that doesn't mean he isn't sympathetic towards those in need.

Background: Born in southern Ontario, Canada to a middle-class suburbanite family of four, Gideon grew up through most of his early life without ever considering the idea of eventually becoming a powerful wizard, not unlike most kids. Though Gideon had always found the supernatural fascinating, and was always skeptical of the more sensational and fantastic interpretations of the arcane and monstrous over what he believed were the older and more "true" beliefs on the subjects, he never admitted openly to taking any of it seriously, he was wise enough not to invite such social ridicule when growing up, gods knew he had enough already.

His first experience with the supernatural came, as most do, unexpectedly. While rummaging around in an abandoned production factory in his home time on a dare from his fellow university students, whom believed the town rumours that the place was haunted by the ghosts of workers who died in an accident there, he found that he could sense the presence of "things" around him, later he would come to realise that they were ghosts, tied to this earth by their violent and unexpected deaths, and still remembering their work, but little else, they were truly tied to the building. Too terrified to run, but also oddly enchanted by the sensation, he walked among them and listened in one their patched conversations, broken memories of things the ghosts could not quite remember, until their attention turned on him, just as surprised that someone could actually sense and hear them so clearly, but viewing him as a trespasser nonetheless, Gideon fled the building as the ghosts chased him off the premises, but chose not to follow him further. He was in for an even greater shock when he ran outside, as his fellow students, so terrified that they'd run off, were replaced by a woman, garbed in a grey cloak, old and venerable, and favouring a runed cane, she was still possessed of a stubborn stature.

Her name was Svanhilda Roriksdottir, and she claimed to be a Witch, not the kind that snatched children away like in the fairy tales to be eaten, but a powerful practitioner of The Art, Magic. She had come a long way from her homeland in Norway on assignment from an organization she served, a global collective of human magical users called The White Council. She was to search for any stray appearances of practitioners of the Art, for the number of White Council members in North America, though not tiny, were not suitable for the task of overseeing all of the continent, and on occasion members from Europe were assigned the task of updating the council dossiers on various parts of the continent that saw relatively little council presence. She was to find any and all magic phenomena, practitioners of the Art, or non-human centres of power, determine their behaviour, make note of it for the council, and deal with it if necessary.

She had been observing the situation at the factory in Gideon's hometown for some time, trying to discern the nature of the ghosts, but lacking much skill in the way of Ectomancy, she was having little success. Still curious about the potential of magical talent in the form of practitioners in the area, Hilda waited and watched for any signs of anyone of that kind appearing to register or deal with the issue. She hardly expected to find a young man with the early unrefined capacities for sensing and hearing ghosts to be what would turn up, but it was fortuitous nonetheless. Hilda calmed the frightened young Gideon, explaining to him what he had seen and what she was doing, Gideon would have been inclined to pass it all off as going into shock and hallucinating, had he not thoroughly convinced himself already that those ghosts he had seen could not have been some illusionary trick, and had Hilda not conjured up balls of light right in front of him to prove her talents, but that's besides the point.

She emboldened him to go back in with her and face the ghosts again, that she would protect him and perhaps be able to grant the ghosts lasting rest. Not seeing much option, he led her back in, facing the still agitated ghosts, with Hilda at his side speaking in his ear and gripping his shoulder, he stood firm, talking back at the ghosts and asking them questions as to what they remembered about their deaths, only to find that the workers didn't realise they were dead. Gideon told them this fact, driving some to despair, others to acceptance as some faded out of existence, and a couple others to anger and madness as they lunged forward at the boy who appeared so brightly before them. So illuminating was the boy to them that those remaining ghosts didn't see the slash of the silver blade coming until it was too late for them, forcibly severing their connection to this world and scattering them away.

Frightened, by exhilarated as to everything that had happened, Gideon was grateful for Hilda's support. She herself was pleased with her find, Gideon had demonstrated the potential of being a capable Ectomancer, and she was now curious as to whether he possessed any other possible talents as well in The Art, so much so that she offered to take him on as her apprentice. When asked how he'd explain it to his parents, who wanted him to take on a respectable career, Hilda told him that they could make up a (not entirely false) story about him being a suddenly awoken psychic, with powerful potential as a medium for dealing in Haunted Houses or haunted places, and having retold the incident at the factory (the fighting ghosts and wizardry omitted in favour of more humane perceptions of hauntings and psychic dealings) his parents still weren't pleased, but respected his mature decision to go and tutor under the kindly and venerable Svanhilda.

Thus began his training, he travelled around with Hilda to various places as she finished her assignment, and presented him to the White Council as her apprentice on her return home to Norway. There, his training and studies formally began, with access to the Council's studies on Ectomancy, Gideon honed his skills to suit his own beliefs and styles, finding a new inspired faith in the Neo-Pagan revival of the Old Norse Gods as a source for his powers. After nearly eight years of training and tutorship on magic, ectomancy, and on how to properly handle magic as a White Council wizard, Gideon undertook the tests for gauging his skills and found himself to be a capable enough wizard to apply for Warden status. Earning his cloak and sword, which he named after Sigurn's Garm, he left his esteemed teacher to forge his own path back home in Canada, upholding the laws of the council when called upon in hunting warlocks (he was particularly good at finding them, using his ever-expanding contacts among the spirit world as a benefit of his Ectomancy), and moonlighting as a specialist on the cleansing of haunted houses, restoration of the sanctity of old burial sites, and savant on all matters to do with ghosts, what most humans saw as the more prevalent aspects of the "supernatural" in their world.
