Harry and his friend Jeremy were cooped up in the back of a large Mercedes. It was Jeremy's wedding rehersal, and Harry was the best man. He was incline to make a toast, but he hated talking or having to be funny in front of lots of people he had never met before. Jeremy was talking non-stop, the kind of thing he did when he was stressed. "How does my tie look Harry? I don't want to make a fool of myself, like always. Oh good gosh, is that a stain on my suit, dammit! I should have gone to my regular tailors, not some fancy one an idiot wedding planner recommended! I mean honestly I-" Harry grabbed Jeremy's shoulder and gave him one of his 'pull yourself together you uncouth imbecile!'looks, Jeremy quickly shut up. The ride was much more enjoyable in the silence.

At least 15 minuites later, the mercades pulled up at a large local hotel called the Modest Lion. Quite a few people where already turning up including Harry and Jeremy's best frined since high school, Tyson. "Hey! Tyson!" Yelled Harry in a deep booming voice. It was very uncharacteristic of him to do that, but he felt like it was needed. A small, impish man with messy ginger hair and a huge smile ran over to them. As a small trio, they flocked to the ballroom where the rehersal was being held. Jeremy instantly went to greet the guests along with Tyson, whilst Harry snuck away to a seat in the corner, pulling out a small great notebook, and a pencil. He opened the cover pensively and started to sketch a small drawing drawing, a little concept for a new church being built, that he was hired to design.

Erin sat in the black of the large, black BMW X5. She was sat next to her daughter, Lily a flower girl and the bridesmaid Jennifer's sister Janey. Jennifer was talking about her nerves about the Wedding rehersal, but also about the next day. The next day would be the wedding day, which had been in the process of planning for the past year. Jennifer was shaking "oh my goodness! What if everything runs a mess!" She said talking senselessly about her fears. Erin rubbed her best friend's shoulder as she sat wearing a strapless, kneelength red dress with matching stilettos. "Everything will be fine. Heck, if they're not then I swear to god I will be blown away. You've got the best wedding planner the city has to offer working for you. She wouldn't be the best if things didn't run crystal clean under her command." Erin said as she looked at Jennifer. Lily was clinging to Erin's leg, always being very unsure in new situations. Before they knew it the BMW reached the hotel. Erin looked out of the window "and your venue is beautiful Jen." She said reassuringly.

Everyone got out of the car once they were parked. Erin took Lily by the hand as the 4 year old stood taking everything in. "Alright, ladies. Let's hope that this rehersal is the best anyone's ever seen." Jennifer said as she stood in her laced white laced dress which reached her knees. Erin nodded "and you know it will." She said as the wedding planner, Dianne Sparkles, approached them. "So, ladies everyone is stationed where they should be now. All we need to do is practice everything that will happen tomorrow. I want you girls to walk in in a set order. Lily at the front followed by the bridesmaids and then Jennifer and the father." Erin nodded as they walked to the enterance. She took Janey's arm as required before they walked in in the order that they had been told. Erin smiled as she took everything on board, remembering every little detail to follow for the next day.

Harry was enjoying being all alone. He was always one to believe in Murphy's law that states 'anything the can go wrong will go wrong,' so he tended to stay away from large public areas, where the chance of disaster was high. Too high. Sadly Murphy's law tended to be corrected even when the chances of disaster were low, like the time wher he requested a song at a small school disco and spilt his soda over the DJ's computer and started an electrical fire. That was probably when he became a more solitary type of guy, and the reason he has never touched a fizzy drink to this day. And everything was going fine. Until Jeremy's brother came up to him and started talking. "Hey, hey, hey! Harry! How you been, man?" Harry rolled his eyes and carried on sketching. "Oh come on! Don't give me that. Let's have some fun!" He nudged Harry's arm. Sadly that was the arm he was holding a pencil in, and his arm jerked ruining the sketch he was doing of a door hinge. Harry looked up a growled, "Toby. Toby, Toby, Toby. Go away before I crack your skull open."

Let's go back a bit. Harry met Toby when he was in junior school. He was going over to Jeremy's house, they were fooling around in the garden, when a boy a bit older than then came out of the house. His name was Toby Davis and in all the years Harry had known him, he couldn't be more annoying. He was so buddy-buddy and friendly, he made everybody want to tie him down and cut him open with a blunt knife. Anyway, back to the present. Toby grinned in a ridiculous way and said to Harry, "Shucks, you can just rub it out, can't you?" He seized the pencil from Harry's hand, and rubbed out the smudge. And the rest of the door frame. Suddenly Harry snapped, grabbing the pencil jumping up, and punching Toby in the stomach. Toby was about to retaliate, but then the bride and bridesmaids entered the room. Harry, who had sat back down in the chair, glanced casually upwards before returning to his work. But before his pencil hit the paper he stopped, and looked up again. I couldn't be. In a daze, and put his pencil and notebook in his pocket, and walked towards them, pushing away everybody who got in his way. He stopped half a meter away, and folded his arms. There she was, his ex girlfriend, and still the love of his life, Erin.

Erin entered the room and immediately started to chat to people that she had been to School with. She didn't notice her ex boyfriend sitting in the corner. Erin had been really popular in School. Never really had any issues and even now, people came over to talk to her. These days she tended to socialise with a select few from school, and mostly with work friends. She talked to those from School though, catching up on what she had missed and what they had missed from her. It was nice to catch up with those that she hadn't seen in what felt like forever. She was so busy chatting that she missed the Wedding planner entering the room. The wedding planner began with talking to the Bride and groom about what they envisioned would happen during the ceremony and reception, and what she had envisioned. The planner had already finalised the entrance into the building but now she had a million and one other things to go through with the bride and groom.

Harry watched Erin with some curiosity. He hadn't seen her in forever and was rather surprised that they would meet again, though it was deemed as conceivable when he discovered whom Jeremy was marrying. He realised he should have gone and talked to her, but he was a bit nervous. He was never that shy in high school when they had first met, he just didn't like to talk. He usually brushed people of with a quick 'Do shut up!' And he would just walk away. But today he had to steal his courage. He took a deep breath and walked over to her. There was a false element of confidence in his stride. He politely coughed and said, "Pardon my interruption, but I believe we know each other, don't we?" He asked turning to face Erin. "Erin? Is that you?" He fingered his tie in anticipation.

Erin looked at Harry. "Oh my goodness! Harry how have you been? It's Erin Blake." She said thinking that Harry didn't remember her. She stood there looking at the man that she had spent a year of her life with. The reason that they had parted had been the distance between their Colleges. 600 miles distance, to be exact. He had changed so much, but she wondered whether his personality had changed with it. Harry had been very quirky and unique when Erin had been with him. Erin had found him much more interesting than the other guys that had been after her. He had been kinder and seemed much less likely to be after 'the goods'.
