Lila kept her eyes on Father, not wanting to look away and let her guard down. Her hand was extended forward, keeping the man pressed against the wall. He glared at her, eyes promising a lot of hurt if he got free.

Jason dropped his gun and disappeared, shadow travelling, before appearing next to Lila holding a blue sword fitted for him. Soul Caliber, it was the sword Jason had claimed as his own. He looked at Father, "Ready to die?"

Father switched his glare to Jason, baring his teeth in a snarl as he didn't answer.

Jason smiled and walked over to father. He kicked out father's knee so he fell down. Jason held the sword with the tip to father's throat and the flat against his chin. "For the record I kept your family out of my father's cluthches. The innocent do not get harmed as long as I can help. I'd say you are about to join them, but you are going to experience the worst hell possible. You'll never see them again." Jason says as he brings his sword back and swings. He watched father's head roll away from his body

Lila covered her face when Jason pressed his blade against Fathers neck, not wanting to witness the gore that was about to follow. She heard a thud but was too afraid to open her eyes to look.

Jason turned back and grabbed Lila's wrist. "Come on, now's our chance." Jason said quietly and kissed her forehead

Lila nodded, keeping her eyes closed though. She was still too scared to look and she wouldnt do so until they had left the horrible room.

Jason noticed this and made sure her hand was firmly in his so he could lead Lila out the room and into the hall.

Once they were out in the hall Lila cautiously peeked her eyes open. She looked up at Jason. "W-What now?"

"We run like hell." Jason says and starts leading Lila alomg the corridor. Only a few feet in, things went downhill. Metal doors slammed shut as the building went into lockdown, laser activated turrets and landmines activated. Primed only to attack non fallen shadows personal. Guards swarmed the halls. Jason yanked Lila into a closet and held the door shut, peaking through the cracks as guards advanced down the hall

Lila pressed close against Jason, squeezing her eyes shut as her ears flattened to her head.

Jason held Lila close to himself as the guards passed, he didn't dare breath

"H-How are we going to get out with guards and traps everywhere?" She asked him nervously, peeking up at him.

"I... Don't know." Jason whispers and pulls Lila very tightly against his chest

Lila griped his shirt in tiny fists, burying her face against his chest as she heard footsteps come towards the closet before veering away.

Jason held onto Lila before poking his head out into the hallway, nobody was there. Across the hall he saw a grate leading to a large airvent (fallen shadows seemed keen on vents that people coukd crawl through as possible escapes from raging supers, not intending for supers to use them though) and Jason destroyed it with a silent dark'matter fueled black hole.

Lila peeked out as well and saw the hole that Jason made. She glanced around before waving her hand. A door at the very end of the hallway slammed open then closed and the guards rushed down the hall to check.

Jason took Lila's hand and pulled her with him into the vent, before making the grste reappear out of the dark matter black hole. He looked at her, the vent was big enough to crawl through side by side and not be crushed, and they could lay down as well. "Let's get further in, to where they won't see or hear us, then rest for the night" Jason says softly

Lila nodded and scooted forward in the vent, trying to make as little noise as possible as she went.

Jason crawled along the vent withLila, trying tostay silent with the girl
