Theodore’s parents had raised him on the ocean. His father was a renowned pirate. He mother had come from a fishing family. Together they had sailed the seas only a handful of times, got married, and decided to put the sea to rest and become land lovers. His mother had found the perfect spot on a low cliff. This would be where the couple would raise their coming baby boy, where he could look upon the sea that raised his father and took his mother away with the man she loved.
It wasn’t meant to be. The boy, Theodore, was quickly growing into a man with the same fiery passion as his father. Fearing their son would be gone to the sea, Theodore’s father thought to take him on a small trip to the next island. However, after the few weeks journey to the next island the father and son had gotten news that their homeland had been raided by a crew in search of Theodore’s father. Now the boys were on a mission to rescue the only woman in both of their lives.
It would be years before the boys would find a seaworthy ship and crew and hit the wide seas. Theodore grew into a man with an even bigger passion for sailing and pirating, but they never stopped searching until they found Theodore’s mother. Taking over the opposing crew and looting the ship before going home. At least, that was the plan his father had followed. That was the last time Theodore had seen his parents. He told them he needed the sea and wished them a happy life, knowing that he is doing what he loved.
Now years later, Theodore is docked in port in the Kingdom of the Arch, where he is enjoying himself for the millionth time at the local tavern. Wanted all over the Arch for thievery, being a pirate, and possible murder of a prince. Theodore is hunted throughout the night, caught, and in the depths of the kingdom's dungeons until dead by whichever way the royal in charge. But did he do it?
