Aradia "Dia" Kovacs

Time:2330, Place: Tanner bus stop

The bus made a loud screeching sound as the worn brakes grind together. Bodies rocked with the force, but no reaction was uttered throughout the passenger cabin. It was too late at night for the common chatter or familial small talk that fill the space between people. The moon was already too high for anything, but the slightest of snores to be heard. The doors creaked open for passengers to exit into the dimly lit street. Impatience seemed to vibrant through the skeleton of the metal beast, begging to continue its southern journey through the state. “Little lady…” Called the driver in a horse voice. This voice didn't reach Aradia’s mind for a few more moments.

Aradia seemed like the only one awake, and in her own mind of course. Lost in the thoughts of the town she had left behind. Seattle had been quite exciting for the young witch, and although it had been trivial at times to be on her own, she had rejoiced in the independence. She hoped to find some resemblance of that at home. In her hands was the letter she had received from her mother only days before. She had taken it out after the bus had started to venture from Seattle. Hoping to find some deeper meaning in her mothers words, but all she found was the overbearing voice of her mother chiming throughout her head as she read the words, over and over again.

Sara Kovacs had been voicing her opinions to the council over 20 years, and whether it was taken into account with the elders or not, she had made sure that leaders, such as Amanda Aston, were well informed of outcomes. Dia didn’t want that. As much as her mother would say that it was ’already seen, that wasn’t the life Dia wanted to live. The thought of ending up like her mother, always behind the scenes, always hiding behind some corner waiting for everyone else’s future to play out, that wasn’t Aradia.

The old driver grunted, clearing his throat before repeating his words. This time it broke through Dia’s thick thoughts and her head snapped up. “Sorry!” Her voice rang out, which was soon ‘shhed’ by the few mothers with sleeping babes. “Sorry..” She whispered, raising a hand in apology before pulling her backpack out from under her seat, and shuffling her way through the bus to the front door. “Thank you". Dia's cheery voice rang, and received a grunt and a wave from the driver before he closed the door and guided the bus into the darkness, leaving Dia at a bus stop on the main strip of Tanner. Now to crash at home for the night.

Dia sprung up, sitting straight up in her bed. A victim's scream echoed throughout her head like a memory. Scattered and fragmented in her mind. Somewhere something bad had happened. Someone was hurt, or scared, or worse. Air seemed trapped in Dia's throat from shock, and it took her a few moment to catch her breath. This wasn't a new feeling for the young witch, she had seen many people scared and hurt, but something was for about this one. This one felt closer to home. The women slid from her bed, and let her feet hit the familiar carpet of her bedroom. Her parent's had kept everything the same, nothing out of place. I guess they knew she would be coming home after college.

"Dia, you will be late to the household if you don't hurry and eat and get going!" Aradia heard her mother's voice through her bedroom door. She sighed in irritation as she crawled back under the covers. 'Will they remember me? Will they even like me after all this time?' With her thoughts Aradia rolled herself out of bed, and opened the bag that she had packed to pull out clothes. Something not too casual, but definitely not what her mother expected her to wear. If she managed to bypass her mothers eye on the way out the door, she would be free to travel to the household on her own.

In a baggy burgundy long sleeve, with a tight black tank underneath, paired with a pair of tights to match her tank, and a pair of slip on white sneakers, Aradia came around the corner. In a move so graceful it should have belonged in a dance Dia picked up a piece of honeyed toast and spun around towards the door to get out before her mother would notice.

In the daylight the streets of Tanner seemed to have not aged a day. Her old stomping ground seemed frozen in time, minus the new faces that occupied them. Getting to the household was muscle memory at this point. She rounded the streets and hummed a tune aloud before reaching the mansion. The last time she had stepped in this build, she had been by her mother side Advising Amanda Aston of some future nonsense that Dia hadn't cared enough to listen to. If her mom retired did that mean that Amanda had too, and Carlisle was leading? Talk about following in his mother's footsteps.

The doors seemed to grow larger as she approached, reaching the sky as her palm flattened against the door. She didn't care push it yet, like a rebellious child. If she could just hold on to her life a little longer, her freedom, before handing it to Tanner. Aradia, witch of Tanner. Her freedom felt like it was fading as she pushed the door open and entered.

The household seemed to be stuck in the same time warp as the rest of town, at least to her. Aradia ran her fingertips along the wall to her right as she walked the halls. The mace that was the inside of this build held bread crumbs that Dia had long since discovered and it wouldn't take her long to find the hall where her old friends would be meeting. Voices could be heard from behind the meeting hall doors as she approached. Pushing open the door she was greeted by 4 people.

"Hey Everyone! It seems like its been forever! Dia said in a cheerful tone, jogging over to the group.
Hello Roleplayers,

I have just been feelings like getting back to some of my roots, and was wondering if someone wanted to go along with me in a RoyalxServant MxM roleplay. I am impartial to either role, and am super flexible to world building. The end result would be a stuggle between position and lover. Anyone interested Pm or reply!! :D

Sincerely,

Ebby
OOOooooo looks like fun! still need peeps?
Count me in too :P
So is this different from My Hero? I mean I like My Hero and this sounds dope. I'm just saying - why not just call it that if that's what it is, only difference I'm seeing is the testing. But I'd totally be interested.

I'm assuming you are referencing my hero academia. No I haven't seen that anime. But from what I have read and also just wathed the first episode. It is similar. No schools though. It is more survival, more like Horizon zero dawn.

@deia876lat The best part about this idea that i have is that I am willing to work with you guys get more of a story flushed out. Lay on the ideas. This is actually a reboot of an older roleplay that i developed and loved, but unfortunately didn't make it. I would like to keep it more humanoid, if possbile, but i am willing to compomise. we could even stretch out the timeline and say that these power developed into different races.

What ideas did you have in mind?
We are the ones that they wanted. They found something in our genes that gave us a higher potential in the development of Quirks, special powers that started appearing around the world about 200 years ago, but still only 5% are able to develop any kind of Quirk. Some say it's radiation, others are convinced that the government put chemicals into our food and water to activate this gene, but the truth is that we don't know what causes it. They started testing us about 20 years ago. Some people managed to escape and stay in hiding but nothing works. We are all found and shipped away.

Those with the highest percentage of obtaining these power get sent to W.E.S.T., the World Experimental Source Tower. They try and keep what they do a secret to the public, pass this place off as a geology lab. The truth is that they are taking us, no matter the age, and forcing these Quirks out of us via tests. But we will get free, we will see beyond the horizon.

Hello Everyone, just thought I would give a little blurb of an idea I have had for awhile. Let me know down belong if you are interested, or have anything you would like to add. I love building up ideas in a group.
