I probably should have started here before I made the thread. Anyway, I'm a lazy GM but I get the job done. Zombies. Blending everything you know about them together to make a verse. Walking Dead, Last of Us (big on this one), left for dead, etc...
It would start a few days before the outbreak to build characters... I've already somewhat started with people who already backed out so thought I'd try here...
