You do not know the method of storage he has to store his spellbook. In fact, his spell book may not even have a physical form. On top of that, assuming that a character has something in their inventory without prior IC knowledge is metagaming which is highly discouraged and is looked down upon.

oh.. sorry.. i'll to no longer do stuff like that.. also if Galawayn can send his spell book to another plan of existence as a level one mage than as a level one rogue i should be able to stun, bleed, and cripple foes easily. At least those are my thoughts..
Still right now it does not matter... I did not steal it to keep it... i only need him to chase Sionnie somewhere private. then She and Galawayn can start their real discussion.. If i really wanted to cause trouble for Galawayn i would just bide my time until assassinate and then kill him... (No offence Galawayn, i would never do that to ya!) I can change my post but Personally he still could ignore sionnie even if she stole his spell book so Whether i achieve my result is up to Natsu.. And if he follows me we may have fun...

What kind of mage doesn't have some kind of spell book with them? Every mage has some kind of spell book.. Some may not be the physical kind of spell book... but "EVERY" mage has a spell book... and as a rogue.. if it was the physical kind of spell book.. which it most likely is.. noting that he is level 1 and hasn't learned how to make it not physical.. Sionnie could find it and steal it.

A Sorcerer, A Warlock, A Druid, An Eldritch Knight, An Arcane Trickster, and a Cleric do not have spellbooks and they are the mage classes. They learn, commit and forget their spells.

@Sionnie I am going to have to ask you to do an Investigation Check with disadvantage in order to find his spellbook. A disadvantage means that you need to roll 2d20s and take the lower number.

EDIT #2:

If everyone could tell me first what course of action they want to do before they post, that'll be great. Saves you guys from having to edit your posts. Many courses of action will require dice rolling.

The disadvantage is because you don't know where he has placed his spellbook. So you're going to have to 'luck' yourself out to get it, if that makes sense.

Even at such a high roll, it did not beat your competitor's roll... He rolled an 18 + 8. Before you ask, your character had just learned that her opponent was of much higher level than her.

assume unless stated otherwise that all my rolls include the modifier. My loss if I forget to do this.

I will wait with posting until I see what results I got from my perception rolls.
