[OOC] Hunt for Worlds End [Anima & Love Dove]

Hey Love!

So here's what I have so far:

It's the golden age of piracy. While colonial powers compete for colonies on distant lands, the ever-growing number of pirates whom attack any ship regardless of their colors flown has caused the monarchies to take the threat more seriously. While more warships prowl the seas, the pirates learn to adapt either through speed of their vessels or weapons integrated into their steel hulls.

While many captains are content with simple pillage and plunder, there is one who seeks the power to bring about the creation of a true freeman's land. A life away from the reins of the monarchy, rules, and tyranny. Though utopic, this captain truly believes in her cause as her vessel, the Crimson Rose, sails for the search of Worlds End. Others know of it too, for a organization that rules from behind the monarchy also seeks this device for domination and order.

So would I be another pirate like on your ship or another? Or one of the people from the organization that rules from behind the monarchy? Do you have any idea what the Worlds End would look like? Would it look kinda like Eden (I know it's just loosely based), or another object all together? Because I'm sure we can figure that out together if you don't have something in mind. Anyway I really like the lot, and I love the name of your ship!

Honestly, your character can be from any background. That's entirely your decision! See, I'd like Worlds End to be an location versus an artifact. Kind of like an olden day computer if you will. There could an an object counterpart to it, but its more of a, 'choose your location and your desire' and stuff. Still deciding though. What do you think?

It was kinda cute actually.

Hmm well than my character will take some thought than, probably either another pirate on another ship or someone from the organization. But I can figure all that out later. Oh okay makes more sense about the location versus an artifact. I don't know why I didn't get that >.< kinda clear with it being called Worlds End and whatnot. Well it doesn't have to have an object counterpart really, the idea of it being about the location sounds really good. Kinda like a race against time against the other people. I feel like I'm not helping any but I'm trying to, I swear!!!

Interesting choices! Take your time with your character! I'd like to take things nice and slow and have everything set before we start! We're in no rush, right ^^?

Precisely! I actually really want something sort of supernatural about it as well! Some Pirates of the Carribbean thrown in? And location sounded much more interesting to me. Worlds End could be on an undiscovered island for all we know ^^!

Nope ^^ I'm not in any rush so far this is the only one I got going. On the forum anyway, So I agree, the more detailed the better.

Sounds great! Pirates of the Carribbean had a lot supernatural things in it. Are you meaning the is land in general being supernatural or the parts where they are out at sea? Like I know that there are a few myths that center around pirates the Kraken and Sirens, so that's what I was wondering if you were talking about.

I really love the idea of Worlds End maybe being an undiscovered island, it could a version of Bermuda. Hack it could actually be the edge of the earth for that matter. I know it's a cartoon but have you ever seen Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas?

Of course I'm tired and getting even more excited about the roleplay idea now so....yeah haha.

Honestly? I was thinking a little bit of both - more emphasis on the land portions though. I do want the Kraken to appear though. I mean, perhaps, like you said, Worlds End could be a Bermuda of sorts. When ships venture to close, the Kraken appears and tests to see if they're worthy. If not, they sink to the bottom of the sea becoming fish food! Sirens could be cool too. In fact, I'm going to look up some sea myths and see if any of them can be incorporated.

And I have seen Sinbad! Mind you, its been a while, but I think I remember hints and pieces of it!

I have, both Sliver and Blazed are playing with me. So I got two more going now.

I like that it might be a bit of both, you know me I love myths! I really love the idea that the Kraken would be a test of the worthy. Of course though now that I am awake enough to think about it more, if you still wanted the Worlds End to be an undiscovered island. The Bermuda like thing and Kraken in it could always be a test like you said. Because I figure something that is that powerful would have tests set about to protect it from the unworthy. The Sirens....oh Sirens are awesome....could be part of that test too.

Sinbad was such a great cartoon, I bought the movie and wore it out. I was just wondering if you saw it lol

Oh good! I'm seriously happy that this site is back up. My more fun roleplays always happened on here!

We can definitely I corporate those myths and more! Not to belabor the point, but Worlds End is like the magnum opus of control. A person can either become a tyrant or saint when they assume control of the location. Naturally, there would be lots of obstacles and tests if you will!

Its been too long since I've seen it. I might need to watch it again ^^!

This was actually the first real roleplay sites I joined. So I'm happy its back too, I only know two of my friends facebook so I only had one roleplay going while it was gone.

Oh okay so that is why the organization that rules from behind the monarchy is looking for the Worlds End also then also. In that case I think I'm gonna go with being a pirate, I'm already thinking of what the name of my ship would be. But yeah in that case tests and obstacles, mythological or other wise makes perfect sense. Do you know of any more sea myths? Those were the only two I knew off the top of my head.

I need to see if I can find a copy on DVD or something ^^

Precisely so! I wouldn't say their goals are tyrannic per say. Like the Templars, they believe true happiness and freedom come from strict obedience ... as contradictory as that sounds. And fun! Will we be rival pirates then ^^? I'm still looking into the sea myths. If you have any suggestions, please voice them! Wiki is my friend as of now :p!

Let's see the first place I roleplayed was Hex, which is a Harry Potter website. It wasn't very fun though because it was so hard to come across someone who wanted to.

I see so than the pirates are kind of like the brotherhood, in a way. Very nice! Yeah that's what I was thinking, it seems like it would be kind of fun to be rival pirates ^^.Of course if you wanted we could have side characters on each others ship for more dialog, I love side characters. I know in the Pirates of the Carribbean they have places were pirates all come to rest (if that makes sense) we could have something like that where the captains can talk or something? I've been looking to though it seems that all of the myths have the same ideas of monsters but with different names. I'll keep looking though :P

Would you like to begin this? We can keep on planning and implementing as we go along ^^! Also, I think characters on both ships would be grand! It'll keep things interesting and keep us interacting with one another. What do you think about making characters for the templar-like group?

Awesome yes! Are you saying you want me to do the intro? Because I might need an idea on how you want me to start it off, I can probably can think a start up but if there was a certain way you wanted it to?
