Welcome to the awesome city of Treaft! Where your comic book dreams come to life! Sort of! Basically what I'm thinking is we all make a hero and villain to make the numbers somewhat equal. If you want three heroes and one villain, or one hero and two villains, that's fine, just as long as you roleplay at least one each. (If you have a problem with this, please let me know, we'll get it handled.)

This thread is one that will try to deal with the more human aspect of being a hero or villain. Do you ditch your boy/girlfriend when on a date and see a bank across the street being robbed? How do you get out of your job early to pull off the perfect assassination? Do you join the other hero fighting crime, or swoop in at the end to steal the credit for the press? Do you struggle to hide your powers from the world, trying to stay an ordinary citizen 24/7? It's all your decision!

Do whatever you wish with the thread, just please try not to make a hero or villain OP. Don't worry about the Character Sheet too much, blanks are totally cool. Just post your characters in the Character tab and jump in. If there's a problem, I'll let you guys know. ;)

Thanks, and have fun!

If you want to edit your character later on, that's not a problem, just let us know in the OOC tab so we can all be aware.
Akita didn't see where Ally had walked off of the stage, but was excited that her friend won. When Kiro fought, Akita face palmed herself as he rocketed himself into his first opponent. If he had gone any slower, she could've rolled away and he would've ran out of the ring! She understood his fear, though, he was younger than her, even if he was stronger. Akita went through the rest of her fights, not really having too many difficulties. When she fought her last fight against a rather impressive fighter, Akita realized she made it into the actual tournament, she jumped off the stage and landed right in front of Kiro and Ally.

"Guys, guys, I made it! I'm in!" Akita shouted, doing a bit of a twirl. She hugged both Kiro and Ally tightly, unable to believe that she was in the World Martial Arts Tournament.

~~~~~~
Ally returned to Kiro and Akita before Gin's fight started. She appreciated their praise and accepted it, but that didn't deflect her feelings about the match. Then Gin's fight began. She chuckled when he played the music and was even more amused when he danced to dodge the woman. If she fought a dancer and lost, she would be pretty ticked off. Then Gin beat her and Ally cheered for the peculiar teen. When Kiro's fight finally came around, she told him, "Don't worry, you'll do great." She didn't think he was that nervous, but a bit of encouragement couldn't hurt. When she watched his fight, she tensed. She wasn't sure if his punch would land, but it did, and his opponent flew off of the stage into a wall. "Way to go, Kiro!" she said and gave him a high five.
Throughout her fights, she had a cool and calm head. Most of her competition wasn't that much of a challenge and she still felt bad. After Akita's last fight, Akita gave her and Kiro a hug and Ally returned the hug with a full heart, "You're amazing, Akita." Then she heard her number and another called up and let all of the air out of her lungs. She hoped to get a fair fight this time as she walked onto the stage. The man was older and had a somewhat familiar beard, but she didn't think too much on it and bowed to her opponent. His stance was unfamiliar to her and she knew this would be unlike any of the other fights. She got into a neutral stance, preparing herself for anything this man had to throw at her.
The referee lifted his arm, apparently able to sense the tension between the two, "Ready? Fight!"
Ally wasn't going to be the first one to make a move. She much preferred countering her opponents attacks than getting countered herself. Come on, she thought to herself make your move.
His mood brightened when he watched Ally's fight and when she won, he clapped loudly to support her. She was a nice kid and had a lot of potential.
Weird Tales, I think you're mixing up Ally and Akita. XD
Ally= 22 years old, training 9 years with Roshi, has been talking to Gin
Akita= 16 years old, training 8 months with Roshi, hasn't been talking to Gin
Just to clear it up if there's any confusion. :3
Akita went under the ropes and found her fellow pupil. "I can't believe it!" she said excitedly, "My first win!" She was greeted with both praise from Ally and Kiro and felt overwhelmed with support. "I wish Master Roshi could see," she murmured. Then Akita answered Kiro's question, "Well, he's a lot slower than you two, so I didn't want to go all out. And his punches didn't feel as strong, even though you guys hold back. I figured the best thing to do was to hold back some. He went down with two kicks and a punch! You two would've won just as easily, I can't take all of the praise."
"Don't be so modest," Ally laughed, "You did amazing. Maybe you shouldn't hold back in the next fight, just in case."
"Sounds good!" Akita replied and saw Gin doing pushups. She shook her head and didn't understand why he was doing this, but didn't ask him directly. Then she watched Eno's fight. The Crane Student showed no mercy against his opponent and it definitely was brutal. She wondered if she would fight the teen later on.
Ally watched Gin do pushups and chuckled to herself. Memories of Roshi making her do insane exercises with the turtle shells nearly made her laugh out loud. She thought about all of the years the man trained her and all of the techniques and ways of fighting she learned from him. It was incredible to think about all of the progress, but she wondered how long she would continue training with him. "You know," she advised Gin, "if you wear any type of weighted gear, or even try pushups with one hand, you'll get much better results." She understood his main purpose right now was to get pumped up, but a little bit of friendly advice couldn't hurt, could it?
"Will fighters number 139 and 140 please come to the stage?" the announcer announced.
"It's my time," Ally said, clenching and unclenching her fists in anticipation.
"You got this!" Akita cheered as she watched her friend go into the ring.
Ally looked her opponent up and down. She wore a black Gi with a green snake wrapped around the arms. The two women bowed to each other in respect and then the bell rung and the fight started. By the style of the Gi, she figured the woman was more of a grappling fighter than a striking fighter. This meant Ally would have to stay out of range at all times. To test the waters, she sent out a snap kick to the woman at a very quick, but not her quickest, speed. She had to stay around three feet away from the woman to create a comfortable distance and to allow her to extend her legs more for kicks. Ally saw the woman lunge for her legs. In a somewhat risky move, Ally moved forward towards the woman and brought her knee up, striking the woman in the jaw. Strike through the target she thought to herself just like you were taught. The woman wasn't able to grip onto Ally's legs, so Ally moved backwards and allowed Fighter 140 to recover. She wanted to have a fair fight since she was sure she was stronger than her opponent. Ally threw another snap kick at the woman at a good strength. It caught the woman in the stomach, but the woman caught her leg. Ally remembered exactly how to get out and counter this hold. She twisted her body, pulling her right leg inwards towards her body and quickly pivoted on her foot. The woman's grip was lost and Ally used all of the momentum, now letting her right leg swing out and slam against the woman's head. Fighter 140 put her arms up to block the kick, but she was sent off of her feet, flying into the ropes. Miraculously, at the count of nine, the woman was up, but apparently dazed. You've got to be kidding me Ally thought. She didn't want to hurt the woman too bad, but didn't want to go to the judges score either. She rushed to the woman, faked a jab then quickly hit her head with a right hook, crushed her side with a left hook, and smashed an uppercut into the woman's chin. The woman dropped, out cold before she even hit the floor.
Ally didn't wait to be announced winner and left the ring, but didn't return to Kiro and Akita. Something felt wrong to her about competitively fighting people much below her own skill level and strength. In her book, this was no win. She didn't have to use much of her strength, speed, or even skills to win the fight. It was an unfair fight from the start, especially since the woman grappled. "I'll have to get her a fruit basket or a card or something..." Ally murmured to herself, trying to remember how much Zeni she had on her.
Akita cast a glare at Gin. She felt he had no right to comment in on the battle, much less call them children since he seemed no older than her. When she heard it was time to fight, she let out a long breath and took her place in the ring. She went to bump fists with the man, but he didn't and when the bell rung she was ready. He threw a punch and Akita easily dodged it. He's much slower than Kiro and Ally... she thought. He threw another jab and she grabbed his arm and pulled him forward, using his momentum to knock him off balance. His whole side was open, so she chambered her leg and slammed her shin against his ribs. A slight cracking could be heard upon impact and he fell to the floor. Akita was shocked by her own power, and so was the crowd of fighters.
"Oh my gosh..."
"No way..."
"-has to be rigged..."
She took a deep breath but stayed in her stance. He got up at the count of five, but it was obvious that he was very hurt. The man held his gloved fists in front of him. Akita through a slow jab at his face. She didn't want to go too cast because it wouldn't be fair. He narrowly dodged it and threw a hook. Akita ducked under it and came up explosively, sending a hook smashing into the same ribs. He staggered back and she kicked out her right leg, sending her heel straight into his stomach. Dang! Should've used the ball of my foot instead! she shouted in her mind, but it didn't matter. The ten count was administered and he was out.
Ally patted Akita's back as she went up to the ring. Before Akita's fight started, she looked at Gin. He called her a child and it was obvious she was much older than him. She felt that the boxers were immature, not the Turtle Students. "It's her first fight and that guy was being a real jerk to her," Ally explained, "I think she handled it well, and she'll definitely teach that oaf in the ring. Next time you see people arguing, maybe try learning about the situation before jumping in." Then Akita's fight began. She watched Akita dodge every punch and even cringed when the man was hit by her kick. When Akita knocked the man out, she cheered as loud as she could, even if not many people were cheering too much. "I'm Ally, by the way," she said to Gin, "I hope to see you compete soon. Good luck."
"Good luck with that!" Samu laughed. He thought Eno was silly for even considering one of the Turtle School students would make it through thirty seconds of the preliminary rounds. "Master Shen is the best! Master Roshi's students just stand around! See? We have this in the bag!"
"Hey, you need to turn around and go back to that little group of kids you've got and grow up," Ally said to 84, referring to the 2 other men. "Don't you have something better to do than pick on students?"
Akita pushed in front of Ally and was now facing 84 head on. "So you're a boxer, huh? That's really funny, you have legs, but all you do is move with them," she said and did a split kick, stopping right before her foot hit the sweet spot under his chin. "You don't use them for kicks," she said and lowered her leg, "Even then, I'm a lot smaller than you, so good luck catching me." She stuck out her tongue at the man and turned around, determined to ignore him until their fight.
"Thanks, Kiro," Akita said, appreciating the younger boy's words of inspiration.
"Did you guys hear that?" Ally asked, putting her hand to her ear, "Kiro, you can't compete, they said no ugly people allowed to fight." She chuckled at her own joke and pulled a number out of the basket. "139... not bad, not bad, doesn't seem like that great of a number, but it'll do." To be completely honest, she didn't know what could count as a "good" number versus a "bad," but it was fun to say nonetheless. "What about you, Akita?"
Akita shoved through the crowds of fighters to get her number. "83. Anyone here could be my opponent..." Then she thought about the other two's numbers, "Well, anyone besides you too." She was happy that she wouldn't have to go against her companions and hoped she would get to see them compete after preliminaries.
Samu ripped one of the numbers from the basket, spilling a couple on the floor. "Oops." He was glad that Master Shen didn't see him mess up like that. "Eno!" he said excitedly, tail wagging uncontrollably, "I got 35! Hey, that means we won't be fighting each other! Hopefully we can knock those lousy Turtles out of the water before the first round!" Then he thought about it and laughed a hearty laugh, "I bet they won't even pass the preliminaries!"
no yeah, I got that now X3
Oh, my bad, sorry. XD
uuuhhhh...... okay....
Rhema was accidentally logged in as Shazbot, if that clears up your confusion.
Ally raised her eyebrow at Roshi's strange behavior, but dismissed it. "Not D-5, C-2. Gosh, if you can't remember a building number, how could you possibly expect to win?" she teased Kiro.
Akita followed Kiro and Ally to the building. She was slightly intimidated by all of the people showing up for the preliminaries. It was good that people weren't going to be watching because she didn't want the distraction from her first real fight.
