Spinel put a hand on her chin. Between what Aqua said and the shouting of the human who recently arrived, she realized that she had been seriously mistaken. I mean, of course she knew she wasn't really a spirit, but this gem business was news to her. I'm a gem? And a crystal gem, at that? She wasn't sure how she felt about this, but she knew she preferred the silence and tranquility she knew for the first few minutes of her existence to... whatever you call what had just happened.

"We should plan an actual strategy." she said apropos of very little, to nobody in particular. "I'm assuming we're being hunted by someone or something, is that right?" she addressed Aqua this time. "If we can't mobilize and get our of here immediately, we may need to improvise in some way."
Bohdan walked into the village after decided that there was nothing in particular to interest him near the docks. He thought about what he should attempt to do. The point of this trip was to better himself, so find a sparring partner, maybe? He was already a fairly adept fighter though, so visit the temple, perhaps? Was there any other way he could go about educating himself here? He sort of just wandered for a few minutes, trying to decide what would be the best option, and that was when he noticed Rohzar. "Hmm... that's something one doesn't see every day..." Bohdan approached Rohzar. "Excuse me... sir." Having never really spent a great deal of time in civilization, Bohdan was poor with niceties, and really at anything but being blunt. "Am I correct in assuming you have our blood? I've never met someone who did, save for other ronso."
I'm still trying to find something for my character to do that wouldn't be OOC. Guys give me something.
Spinel scarmbled to her feet and ran toward the other gems, and approached the blue harpoon-wielding one who seemed to be in some position of authority. "As I was saying, I, the spirit of this canyon, would very much appreciate it if you and your... friends? would leave as soon as you can. As you can see, I have freed your giant orange thing as a sign of goodwill."
Hooray Spinel gets to be useful!
@Akayaofthemoon That's good to hear! I personally wasn't hurt but I did find it a little jarring that she decided to leave the way she did. I'm glad her apology made you feel a little bit better though.
@KronshiWhat do you think Spinel's arrow should reasonably have done? I doubt it would have destroyed the thing, but then again we already have two gems who are evidently strong enough to do so, and they don't have to sacrifice quite as much for one attack. I hope it didn't miss, at least, even though an attack with that much recoil realistically would.
Spinel's arrow was ready now, and she had been steadying her aim for the past minute or so. Her rubble was maybe about 50 feet from the action, not a terribly unreasonable length to make an accurate shot from. She let her arrow fly at the spiderbot trying to kidnap Amber's gem. The shot was powerful enough that the recoil caused her to almost fall over, and it destroyed her pile. She really hoped that her shot met its mark, because she was now visible and a sitting duck.
Looking back at my post I'm not sure that gems actually need to breathe, but I guess we can just take it as Spinel collecting herself.
Spinel peeked over the rocks and saw that one of the noise makers was being carried away, at least until another one kind of tackled the two spider things off of him. She sighed. I... don't think I can just let them die.. A crossbow appeared near her hand. She took a deep breath and focused on it, and a bolt of energy started to materialize in it. She suppressed her glow yet again and began aiming carefully at one of the spiders, trying to keep her bow hidden between the rocks.
