@HaltingBlooper I felt the exact same way and that clip alone told me everything I needed to know about the company. I mean, I'm all for forgiving people who are willing to admit to crappy stuff they almost did, but the sappy sympathetic light it portrays her in as she talks about almost murdering a child is just too much.
@Loony I've been in an awkward situation like that too. I was tempted to tell the parents about the awful stuff that company gets up to but couldn't think of a polite way to put it. Educating people is definitely good though, hopefully if people keep spreading the word more and more people will get it. Really I'm surprised that Autism Speaks' promotional material alone doesn't put people off.
@Loony Yes, I care very little for them as well. Their awful claims would honestly be pretty laughable if they weren't hurting actual people.
@HaltingBlooper Yeah, I really hate the internet's attitude toward autism in general. That, and the propaganda spread by a certain organization that shall not be named. It's cool to hear that you're doing so well but wow, you're only in 6th grade? Way to make me feel old.
