@Akayaofthemoon@Loony I can see where Loony's sister is coming from. I agree that humans generally just follow the path of least resistance, which normally means that we seek survival and pleasure before anything else, but I think our drive to look out for others can be just as strong. I personally think that the fact that we're hardwired to be social beings is both one of the best and one of the worst things about us, but when you get right down to it, most of us would rather care for each other than screw each other over.
@Akayaofthemoon I'm glad one of them is doing well at least, and I'm hoping for the best for you.
@Loony That situation is just so messed up all around, and it sounds like someone deserved a serious tongue-lashing. That kid's parents are lucky I wasn't there, because I'm at a point in my life where I honestly wouldn't be afraid to ask them what the hell they were thinking. Good on you for stepping up though!
@Akayaofthemoon That's awful, I wish I could do more than be here for you. I'm sure your cats know that you love them a lot and I hope the results that come back are good.
@Loony Wow, that really is terrible. I would have been ready to threaten to call CPS or somebody. I'm glad you were there, because holy crap that's awful. I mean, I get why people might be tentative about going near somebody else's kid, but there are situations where it's obviously okay. It was good of you to help.
