Oh yay hugs!
Oh hey, I wouldn't mind helping either! You know I'm always down to describe stuff right?
@Raijinslayer Skyrim jokes aside, that vaguely reminds me of something me and some friends of mine did to one of our friend's characters. Falling asleep during the game was considered "desertion" and punishable by death. Their character tried to abandon us so we rolled them off a cliff. I'm assuming that's not what happened with you though.
Man it's been forever since Spinel and Chromite have had anything to do. "Am I even here anymore? Am I at the temple? Am I anywhere? It really isn't too clear." "Hum, I would have expected beasts of this size to put up more of a fight.
@Loony Sup Loon?
@Akayaofthemoon Yeah that's what I was thinking too, like maybe the ones who were flawed in some way were able to see the beauty of Earth more than other homeworld gems. Also because every gem who sided with Rose Quartz that we're aware of was 'defective' in some way. I really hope we get to meet some other members of the rebellion at some point, I think your description of them sounds pretty spot on and it's something I'd love to see in action. Also it's about time for me to go to bed so sorry if I stop posting!
@Akayaofthemoon I think that really ties in with the whole "welcome to earth" theme of the past few episodes. Peridot and the other homeworld gems don't understand how Earth can even function without ever individual having a strict role to adhere to. That really came out with Peridot obviously, and we saw themes of it when we saw how the gems react to Garnet's fusion. I can see how that would really upset the diamonds since you can't control something you don't fully understand. It also gets me wondering about something else, maybe all of the Crystal Gems in the rebellion were misfit gems in some way?
@Akayaofthemoon That's about what I got out of it too, Yellow Diamond likely has a lot of baggage attached to the earth because of her hurt pride. It makes me think, maybe the rebellion on earth was the first time homeworld ever lost a conflict? It would sort of make sense if even Yellow Diamond is this hung up about it. It also calls back to how bent out of shape Jasper got upon meeting "Rose."
@Akayaofthemoon Yeah, it makes sense when you put it that way. She certainly was regal and queen-like in appearance just not really as tough looking as I pictured her after the first reveal. Is it just me or in some ways did she look almost like she was done in a different style than the other characters? It's funny that you should mention her being approachable, she certainly did entertain Petidot for longer than I expected her to. Also, for being so logical according to Peridot, she sure seemed driven by emotion in her desire to destroy the earth.
@Akayaofthemoon I know right? I was all like "aww she really does care!" when she tried to come out on the Crystal Gems behalf. Seeing Yellow Diamond was pretty epic too, but she's a lot less military looking than I expected her to be.
