Wait, I thought gigan was full sized? Which means devimon is currently taller them gigan.
Also, if I remember correctly, as I have watched the digimon shows before (albeit a bit of time since I have seen it)
Gatomon in one of the digimon series was able to bat or knock away those dark gears while running from them. Which means theoretically, if devimon tried to infect something technological, they could physically fight the gears off. Correct @thewizardguy?

Yay. New year. Now let's get back to the action.
Keith is fairly slippery wizard. A simple throat grab, especially one specifically meant to not have too much pressure, isn't going to hold him for too long.

Keith simply watched as the digimon scratched along his arm. He let the digimon test out the bond. It didn't matter much. It wasn't very painful. However, then it found a loophole.
Keith would hang there for a second, the creatures hand around his throat. The creature thought he had outsmarted him with this loophole. The creature would then feel keiths for start to fade. As Keith melted into the gigantic shadow gigan produced, he would instantly sever the bond, which devimon would instantly become aware of.
Having escaped the grip of the digimon, Keith reappeared out of the other side of gigans shadow. He would quickly toss one of his daggers towards the creature. Of course, then gigan managed to free itself from the creatures gears. Gigan would move with an incredible speed, leaving Keith without a shadow to melt back into. However, he wouldn't let this set him back. As Keith landed on the ground, he would roll into the shadow of the main building, it's structure having been saved from the blast the digimon had fired earlier.

Well, he's aware of just what being bonded entails through magic. So hopefully Keith will be able to stop him from blowing up the base more. If not, then he will probably attack keith, only to find himself getting the same injuries he inflicts on keith.
