Elijah slowly moved his feet off of the table and reached into his pocket pulling out a pack of cigarettes. He pulled out one playing with while he searched for the right words.
"Your gonna help me, I know you won't help them and you know I DJ could give a shit less about their dumb ass plans to save the world... You'll help because..." He took a deep breath and tried to compose a trembling voice. "You left a week or three after the old man went Avalon. Just up and left, I was never mad at you, just sad you left me there. I understood the reasons, the and how and why. Shit I don't blame you one bit, I was drunk day and night. It was a lot for you to deal with. I was or am sorry about that."
Placing the cigarette in his mouth he lit it with only an extended finger." After you left I got sober a week or two later. I started in Miami and then New York and finally Chicago. With each town I visited I systematically cut the Russian mob into little bits." He took a deep, long drag and exhaled slowly. "Everyone that even remotely beheld accountable for what his current situation is dead, turned to ash." He paused again the look if regret and sadness was in his eyes. He killed so many people and while all had it coming just as he had it coming. That didn't make it any easier to live with. "But you already knew that. You were two steps behind me the whole time."
"You'll help me because all I want is to get the guy who narced on me and get your dad out of there... Ruby... I just wanna talk to her... Momma says hello and she misses you. She'd like to call her if you get the chance. She uh... Asked about you every few months. Be nice if you would give her a shout. He waited to see her reaction. He did just dump a lot on her. Confirmed many suspicions and all around just wanted to see what she wanted to say. He hoped fervently for a happy ending to all this but he knew better.
