A force he couldn't see or hear forced Everett back. He was caught so off guard by what happened he ended up face down in the mud.

“FUCK!!” Everett shouted with a face cover in mud and blood and who knows what else. A word that came from the pain of banging his head off the ground. A few moans of pain accompanied him roll over to a sitting position. Shock, disappointment and an overall sense of bewilderment, struck him when he saw they were now surrounded thorny vines. Shit they could pass for demonic tree trunks.

"Well, anyone got any ideas?" Everett said trying to get the mud outta his wound. If it didn't get infected, it was gonna be a miracle. Hell, if they survived at all it was gonna be a miracle.

Everett hadn't called for Dags for seemed like hours. He was still bleeding and getting tired, on the plus side of things he was starting to sober up.

Rain beating down from the trees made it hard to tell just how much blood he had lost. Between the alcohol and rain he could only hope it wasn't as bad it seemed to be.

He gave thought to trying to find a place to sleep, and continue his search for Dags in the daylight hours. He was starting what time it was. That and a hundred other questions where in his mind.

He knew deep down that Dags would be okay. He was a wolf after all. Dags was reliant in Everett for many things, but wasn't to say Dags couldn't take care of himself. Knowing that didn't lessen the worry at all. The panic maybe but not the worry.

His hand had quit glowing sometime ago, he didn't know how long it was but he damn sure didn't want to find out what the limits of his powers were here. Not in these conditions, not like this.

Trudging along he heard a voice off in the distance. He knew that voice… was it… Tessa?
“TESSA!” Everett paused for a moment before rushing to where he heard the voice.

“Tessa, thank goodness, what's… ahh shit. “Any sort of excitement was dead the moment he saw Mal and Grant hunched over Dani. Everett had no idea what was going on. He instantly assume the worst, but if he was completely honest, all he could think about was if that was Dags and not Dani. Everett felt horrible about the thought but, Dags was all he had.

“I hope yalls doin some Romeo and Juliette shit and this is a right good time to say alas poor Yorick I knew him Horatio.” Everett said wincing in pain as he held his bleeding head.
@Remipa Awesome he's actually gay, isn't he?

He does seem the sort, puffin peter type.
So I am debating when I should reveal that Hunter is full of shit about being in a relationship.

Nah, keep everyone in the dark.

Everett was lying face down in the woods, a splitting headache, and a warm, wet feeling were his early greeters. He moved slowly to his hands and knees. Trying to shake a fog from head, yet only a warm liquid was shaken off. That's when he felt the pain.

Everett rolled on to his back and put a hand to his head. If there was any doubt before, it was gone now. His head had been busted open, blood was pouring out at a pretty decent rate. It wasn't as alarming as not knowing where he was at. That's when the panic set in. The pain subsided a bit but it was replaced by pure panic and fear.

Everett jumped to his feet, only for him to fall back down two or three times. On top of the head wound, he was a little drunk. Everett kept trying to get back up. Fearful, drunk and panicked. There was a side of that thought there was no way this could get any worse, then as he looked around. His own worst nightmare came to pass. Dags wasn't there, there was no signs of Dags.

Everett ran from tree to tree shouting and screaming for Dags, nothing else mattered to Everett, not pain, panic, fear. Where he was, how he got there, how much he was bleeding, nothing else could have a hope to matter. Everett did his best to calm down, but the fear was to great, the panic was too strong. He didn't know where he was or how he was gonna find him.

It wasn't until he fell down for what he had to have been the fifth or sixth time that Everett remember that he had any sort of abilities. He raised a hand covered in blood and watched as he glowed brightly. Using his powers seemed to make things a tiny bit better, it didn't change the fact that Dags was gone.
