As the trial continued, Felix began to lose sight of the greater picture, there were so many alibis and clues; and all were presented in the span of what felt like seconds. It was enough to turn the free-runner’s head upside-down. And yet in the upside-down, there was one discussion that Felix understood clearly. Jezebel and Lucy were talking about the origins of the chemistry book that was used to create the poison; and at that moment, he remembered.

“I think I did it, I got the chemistry book from the study.” Felix’s face turned pale-white as he realized what he had done. “Mercy asked me to bring her a box of books in the study at about half an hour past eleven, and I dropped them off with her at chemistry lab. I didn’t actually see what kinda books were in cuz I went straight back to the study, but it’s pretty clear now that it was the book about litonix.”

As he said the words, his face grew restless. “B-but it doesn’t make any sense! Why would she need a book about litonix, and then get poisoned by the same thing! It’s so stupid.” He said as his head slowly turned down, degrading his entire pose into dread.

“She really was infected wasn’t she?”

“Hold on a second Daimyon, one thing at a time." said Max before turning to Ice. "I hadn’t spotted Caora nor Braden in the pharmacy, so I must have left prior to their arrival. But it seems like the pharmacy was visited by many people, how curious.” Max continued after Calvin. “Though casting suspicion on anyone based on their interaction with Mercy is quite naïve. In fact it’d be even more suspicious of those who weren’t seen with Mercy; as if they were avoiding her…or poisoning.” Although it was clear that even Max wasn’t very confident in this theory, if it warranted a response, it’d be worth it.

He then faced Braden. “While I can't speak for Braden, I entered the pharmacy around 3 PM to simply asking how to best deal with an injury I sustained during the last night of carnage. As for my badge, I noticed it had dissapeared when we were setting up the party. Perhaps i dropped it during the conversation with Mercy and she found it; that badge is important to me, i wouldn't just hand it out. I must say though; our alibis suggest that Mercy has been in the Pharmacy for the entirety of 3 to 4 PM, which would suggest one of the people in there poisoned her but that seems...too simple, maybe we are missing something.” He said while placing a hand under his chin.

and Max

“Yeah I-it’s totally obvious.” Felix still looked very shaken by everything, his eyes were glued to the ground and there was an aura of dread surrounding his every move and word. “T-the chemical book I...it says it all.” Felix grabbed his e-handbook and scanned the truth bullet one more time. “Litonix is very poisonous and even a small amount can kill as quickly as one hour. The victim starts to violently hemorrhage blood seconds before…before they die.”

“Litonix.” Felix finally looked up to everyone with a distracted look.

“I just don’t get how she could get poisoned. I was with her for the entire hour, I should have noticed something, right?”

“It does seem unlikely; the party’s security was very tight.”

Felix was enjoying himself, for the first time after getting stuck in this hole. There was hope, trusting bonds were being formed. The free runner could vividly imagine the whole crew getting out of here together, and becoming a big happy infinite family.

Not even Monokuma’s sudden appearance and convoluted speech could get Felix down. The bear’s words held no sway over this place and time…or so he thought.

Right next to Felix, Mercy collapsed to the floor. For all the things he could have done, the boy simply stood there, watching her with an almost emotionless expression; or maybe it was more accurate to say that his emotions simply left his body.

“Shit!” with a loud bang, the chair that Max was seated in flipped over as the cop rushed over to Mercy. Without hesitation, he hastily started scanning Mercy to find out what was happening to her. He put his fingers to Mercy’s bloodied neck, but the adrenaline shooting through his veins made it unclear if he was feeling her pulse, or his own.

“Felix! Apply CPR to Mercy.” It could be completely useless to do so, but it was all they could do until they knew what happened.

“W-what?”

Now! Max commanded as he got up and started searching the area for clues.

With slow movements, Felix sat down next to Mercy. He had only taken a rudimentary First-aid course years ago, but if his memory served him well…He swiped away some blood from her mouth before bloodying his lips with hers, filling her lungs until the air escaped again by Felix’s push on her chest.

He kept doing this, again and again and again and again. But slowly, panic started to overtake him. Mercy wasn’t moving and nothing was changing. He didn’t realize it, but tears were streaming down his face. But he kept reanimating her until he couldn’t take it anymore.

“Help.” He whispered.

“Somebody help.” He said.

Why won’t anyone do anything, she’s dying! Please, help her! He cried.

At this point, Felix had stopped everything he was doing. Although only a minute or 2 had passed since Mercy collapsed to the ground, for him, it felt like an eternity.

It was a wonder Daimyon woke up to the morning announcement. Last night was long, arduous and tragic: one to forget. He wanted to forget. A part of him was angry at himself when he opened up his notebook and found his notes on the carnage on the most recent pages, forcibly replanting the painful memories. The sight of the dead girl—Aleecia, one of the first Infinites to arrive here. Last night, once everything had settled, he had read over his earliest notes since his imprisonment and found the names of the original batch of people in Axis Mundi. Though they were still a few, they were dropping in number. Slowly and steadily. Even those still alive had been battered after the night: Krista and Felix had been severely injured, for one. Daimyon had helped Cyrus bring the former to a place where she could recover, and though the politician had been holding himself well, he knew the events he had witnessed must have also taken their toll on him. Same for Calvin and Isaiah, who had been part of the attack group and watched one of their friends die and another get gravely wounded right in front of their eyes. The poet knew the least about Mary and Caora, but imagined that if not physically, they had been at least emotionally scarred by what had transpired.

Running these people through his mind, Daimyon felt like he was the least affected from the whole group. Though the thoughts weighed him down heavily as well, he had the...capability to distance himself from the memories. Mere minutes after he had woken up, he was ready to head out and start a new, better day. He was sure the others were not feeling this way. He felt guilty for it, too. Doing his best to shake such a sour feeling off, he checked the clock and made a small note of the time he had woken up today into a dedicated section in his notebook. This was the earliest time he had ever gotten out of bed since he had come here. It was a deliberate attempt from him to get up earlier and earlier; before, he would spend a precious few more minutes in the bed after the announcement, but today he gave himself no such luxury. He needed the extra time awake. He sat up on the side of his bed and began scouring through his notebook—his morning ritual.

Once he considered himself ready and was also done with the essential routine, he stepped out of his room. If anything, the way to the break room was muscle memory by now. He did not see anyone on his way, which was relieving. Though it might have seemed surprising of the gregarious poet, he also appreciated some solitude. The break room was quiet too when he went to grab some breakfast.

Meanwhile, Felix was still going through the rounds. After his talk with Geina, he felt an urge to brush his teeth. Of course he had already done so twice, and at that point, three times would probably not be the charm. Hearing his stomach groan for anything edible, the free-runner stuck Geina’s e-handbook in his pocket, deciding that getting some food would probably get rid of any remaining thoughts.

He was on his way to the diner when he spotted Daimyon entering the break room and he immediately thought of his discussion with Krista. Whatever plan Felix had, he wasn’t hiding it very well, as his expression was blissfully sinister.

As if announcing his own entrance, Felix threw the doors to the break room wide open, his eyes checking the room for any unwanted infinites. He energetically walked up to Daimyon, who had definitely noticed his entrance by this time, and after confirming their solitude, threw an arm over the poor poets shoulder. He was already looking back at his notebook, as he did not expect the man to make such a beeline towards him. His sudden closeness made him jolt a little.

“H-hello there, Felix.” Daimyon looked up and behind him. “Good morning.”

“Early riser huh? That’s good! Gives you more time to enjoy the day.” Felix removed his arm from Daimyon with a soft pat before walking up to the fridge, but while giving the refrigerator door a tug, his injured back stung him with a needle; If Daimyon was paying close attention, he could spot Felix’s face cringe for a millisecond. He was not, but he could have been.

“It’s good that you’re alone, I’ve got something I need your help with, something sewkwut(secret).” Before finishing his sentence, Felix had already stuffed his mouth with a sandwich.

There was something in Felix's straight-to-the-point approach to everything—be it moving or speaking—that intrigued the poet. His head perked up once again upon hearing his words, but this time he closed his notebook and paid closer attention.
“Something...secret?” he reiterated. “And what would it entail, might I ask?”

Felix strolled towards Daimyon with a sandwich in his hand.

“Before we discuss that,” he took another bite. “How’d it go last night? I know it was a total success, Davis made that pretty clear. But I’m still curious how you all did it?” Felix was obviously enthusiastic, which isn’t all that weird when you believe that you’ve won, but somewhere in his eyes, there was a slight anxiety that demanded to know if anybody got hurt.

It was a glimmer that caught Daimyon's attention too, and it brought with it a sudden, terrible realisation. The free runner had no idea of the casualties of the carnage, forcing the poet to make a hasty decision. He, like all others, deserved to know the truth, yet his was the most effervescent expression he had seen for a while now. He could not find it in himself to ruin it and cause grief to the young man.
“It was a splendid victory, indeed! The robots were vanquished, and we finally have some breathing room again,” he spoke cheerfully, putting a strained smile on his face and continuing quickly. “Now, Felix, don't leave me hanging! What is this secret you need me for?”

An almost euphoric smile crept on Felix’s face as Daimyon answered his question. There was no doubt in his mind now, everything was going to be okay, And there was nothing that could stop them from achieving their goals! After leaving Daimyon hanging for a few seconds while bathing in joy, he faced him again with that playful look.

“Well you see…….” Felix continued to explain the plan to Daimyon until the poet understood most of it. “…….And we’re counting on you for a biiig part of it! So…are you in?”

The poet listened intently. No one else was in range to hear anyway, but Felix still found it important to whisper, so he knew it was something important. His expression shifted from surprise to confusion, to finally an easy smile as he let out a chuckle.
“...why, I would be honoured! But...what part could I have in such a plan?”

“Well……..
…………...
……………
...And that’s it really! it doesn’t seem like much, but it’s going to make a woorld of difference, believe me.”
Felix radiantly smiled.

“I see! Fantastic. We have to start preparing soon though, if we want to...execute it properly. Then we can go visit her.

Daimyon stood up from the table after quickly finishing what remained of his breakfast with Felix. The objective for the day was set, and he wanted to waste no time.
“Let us go, then!”

Tucked in his bed, Felix deeply slept through the remainder of the night. His body was still very sore from the beating he took, but that didn’t stop him from napping as if it was his last night on earth. In fact, if it wasn’t for the knocking on the door, Felix would’ve probably slept through the entire day as well.

But alas, it would be rude to ignore the knocking, and the freerunner had a lot of questions that needed answering.

“Give me a sec.” Said Felix as he put his legs into pants; as he equipped his clothes, he wondered who could be knocking, maybe Max wanted to check on him, or krista has a new idea to add to the plan! Deciding that it would probably be one of those two, Felix walked up to the door and was greeted by… A robot with a wild expression.

“Can I come in?” Geina snarled. ”If you know what's good for you, you'll let me in.” she looked away. ”Not like I care what happens to you or anything.”

“Can you co-what? Am I in danger? I thought you were supposed to be the danger.” The obvious confusement was oozing from Felix’s face, but after yesterday, he became very skeptical of the sisters. “You’re like Nariko, but I’m not like Krista, So if you try something, you better expect a fight!” He tried to appear intimidating, but him moving out of the doorway and gesturing for her to come in kind of ruined that.

”Yea well, try not to piss yourself, big man.” Geina stepped past Felix and looked around his room. ”A-anyway, you let Thomas look you over. I saw it on the video replay. After the Night of Carnage was over.” She folded her arms. ”But if you're brave instead of stupid, you'll get a second opinion from me.”

“So you can cuff me like Nariko cuffed Krista? Ha! you’re the stupid one if you think I’ll fall for anything that obvious.” Felix took on a battle stance, ready for anything Geina might throw at him. And then he strained his shoulder; That hurt like a motherhugger, so much in fact, that Felix lost his balance and tumbled down, towards Geina.

Geina was quick to react, and caught Felix. ”See? You're clearly hurt.” The carnage sister shoved Felix onto his bed. ”Y-you really need to take better care of yourself.” She leaned over Felix and started to unbutton his shirt. The guns on her arms were pointing directly at him.

Being shoved onto the bed did little to improve Felix’s shoulders or back, and that combined with the guns pointed at him put him in a tough spot, or so he thought. He wanted to struggle, but Geina’s words didn’t allow him to fight back, she was a nurse after all. All he could do was accept Geina’s help, but that didn’t mean that he felt comfortable around her, at all.

“Hehe, alright I surrender, I am hurt after all. But uhh...are those guns really necessary?” Felix anxiously glared at the guns.

”They scare you? They should!” The carnage sister looked away ”B-but I guess I can take them off. Just because you admitted they scared you.” With a pop, the mini guns split in half and fell off of her arms. ”I bet you're going to complain you're the only one undressing. So you know what?” she started unbuttoning her shirt. ”I'm going to beat you to it, fucker!”

Despite the awareness that Geina was in fact, a robot, Felix still couldn’t help but be completely flustered by the random undressing that appeared before him. He didn’t even know if the sisters knew what nudity meant, but the fact that his shirt was also unbuttoned raised millions of red flags.

“W-what are you doing?! Nurses aren’t supposed to undress along the patients. It’s not...uhhhh....sanitary!” Felix wasn’t even paying attention to the guns on the floor at this point.

Despite Felix's protests, Geina was already rolling her dress off of her shoulders. The nurse outfit fell on the floor with her guns. Then she just gazed at Felix, unable to change her expression.

”My body is perfectly sanitary. It probably carries less germs than a real person does.” She crawled over felix, forcing him to lay flat on his back. ”So you don't have to worry if we... touch.” Geina stopped crawling forward when she was completely over Felix. ”You know, I watched you sleep during the investigation for the last trial. It was pretty fuckin' pathetic.” Geina looked away.. ”B-but I have been watching you sleep, every night since then.”

Felix’s cheeks kept getting redder and redder as Geina got on top of him, this robot was getting very emotional for a...well, robot. This was turning into a cliche romance, but if he accepted it, wasn’t that kind of a betrayal. This wasn’t right, and Geina watching him sleep was even worse. Suddenly, the touch wasn’t the biggest issue here. But then again, if he played along, maybe Geina could end up like alexandria, an ally.

“I thought you watched over everyone at night, to make sure we behave. But... you’ve been watching over me alone? Why? What’s so special about me?”

”I-I never said that!” She rolled off of felix and folded her arms, unwilling to look at him. ”There's nothing special about you.”

“Really?” Felix finally loosened up a bit upon seeing Geina flustered herself and a small smirk crept on his face. “Guess you won’t mind if I let Mercy patch me up instead then.”

”Y-yea, go have a real doctor look at that shit!” Geina pulled her legs up into a ball.

So Geina even admitted defeat; how unexpected. Perhaps she was more human then Felix initially thought, but if they could be dissuaded, they could also be persuaded.

“Come oooon, that’s not how a nurse should react. Mercy is a plague doctor, sure she knows the basic stuff, but she’s not a trained nurse, and I’m not her patient. I trust you...as long as your father isn’t here to command you.” Of course felix did not trust Geina, but perhaps some day.

”Really?” Geina sat up and turned towards Felix. She was really nothing like a human, but if you looked at her right, she didn't quite look like a doll with blood bags stuffed in her bra. ”Well in that case, let me have a look.” She prodded around Felix's back. ”It doesn't look too serious. I do think there's something I can do though.”

Felix spread his arms to assist Geina, it really did hurt to move like that, so whatever Geina could do would be more than welcome.

”Of course you can do something! that’s why you came to me in the first place, right?” Felix chuckled.

”O-Of course I did, you big idiot! I-I was just saying...” She blinked. ”Y-you know, that you'll let me.” there was an awkward silence between them. ”I mean, I'd make you cooperate even if you didn't want me to but, yea.” She grabbed Felix's cheeks. ”It's not like you like me or anything. You only let me in here because you knew Thomas did a shit job.”

“Didn’t he!? He left before doing a single thing, and acted so weird too!” For someone who’s cheeks were being assaulted by one of the carnage sisters, Felix sure was relaxed.

”You're weird, you piece of shit!” Geina pulled Felix closer and plunged her tongue into his mouth. It tasted like rubber, almost like he was kissing the tire of an automobile.

Felix’s eyes were wide open, did he...did he just lose his first kiss to an evil robot nurse? Talk about a reverse stockholm syndrome. He did not expect his plan to work so fast, but he was pretty sure that kissing means your allies...right? But then he was choking, Geina’s tongue was starting to block his airflow, and it made Felix cough and flinch away from Geina.

“Slow down cowboy, aren’t we moving a bit too fast?” Felix cleared his throat. “My body is still really sore from fighting you all yesterday, ya know.”

”Hey! Men are suppose to worry about moving at the lady's speed, ass hole!” She stood up. ”B-but whatever! Complain about our first kiss, I don't give a shit!” She started tearing up. ”And take this, you heaping piece of crap!” Geina hurled the E-handbook at the bed, to which it bounced a few times before coming to rest beside his pillow. ”Maybe Thomas can kiss better than I can, who knows!” She jumped off the bed. ”B-but maybe come see me some time. Just bring a friend if you're afraid of getting locked inside a kinky love dungeon or something.” She ran out the door. ”N-not that I have a kinky love dungeon you I-I-idiot!”

Felix was confused once more, Geina seemed angry, but she wanted him to come visit? She was a lot like someone from a cartoon he used to watch. Maybe if he treated her like that, things would work out. With that thought, he took a look at the e-handbook, who apparently belonged to Geina. If This handbook was like the others, it would surely be the key to her room; definitely requires investigation.

But first he needed to get the rubber taste out of his mouth,

Breakfast.
