Seji uses a mystical art that harnesses ki via intellect rather than physical training. He is actually no stronger than an average human, but is capable of weaving spells in order to defend himself.
As a result, he has a wide variety of abilities and a lot of fire power. However, it takes time to properly use magic, and once you get past his defenses he is just a man. Plus, every spell has a set effect. This means that he had to research new spells to do new things.
Also, stronger spells take a huge toll on his body, and his body is not strong enough to take the strain as proper martial artists could.

Basic Arcanum - Simple, quick and easy to cast magic.
Blasting: A spell which ignites the air in front of the user, compresses it, and launches it forward. In other words, it launches a fireball that explodes on impact. Equivalent to a ki blast.
Blast Ray: As blasting, but turned into an energy beam of fire.
Shielding: Produces a round, circular shield in front of the user. This spell can, in base form, take a few blows before breaking. This shield must be maintained or it will fall apart.
Cold Blasting: As blasting, but freezes the air instead, thus forming an invisible blast of ice that chills an enemy.
Telekineses: Moves things. Unlike the innate telekineses that some species have, this requires an incantation, so it takes a few seconds to actually use. The larger the object, the longer the incantation. This is limited by Seji's mental strength, so he can't just rip goes in half like a mary sue ki lunatic.
Barrier: Seji manifests his ki outside his body, giving himself a barrier to protect himself. This means he can take more damage, at the cost of ki. This ki barrier is relatively inefficient, and uses more ki than a shield would.
Arcanum Corpus-Magic affecting the body directly
Flesh Blasting: A spell which twists a target's flesh and blood, causing excrutiating pain, though little actual damage. Is delivered via a red, misty projectile.
Flesh Warp: Transforms a target temporarily, allowing them to be better adapted to a situation. Seji usually uses this to give himself wings, as he is as of yet unable to fly without wings.
Flesh Mend: Knits flesh back together and heals it. Long incantation, takes a lot of energy.
Flesh Fueling: Burns blood or other organic material to produce ki. Can use the flesh and blood of others. Requires touch, and a long incantation to use on others, however. Very dangerous for user.
Arcanum Psyche- Magic affecting the mind.
Mind Blasting: Sends a wave of mental energy to overload an opponents mind. Causes no damage, but is very effective at disabling a foe.
Emote: Adjusts someone's emotions. Does not change their intentions or personality. So an angry villain would just calm down for a bit and still do villainous stuff.
Arcanum Umbral -Shadow magic, focused on producing images and making reality seem different than it is.
Mirror Image: Produces illusory copies of an object. Copies explode under a single solid strike. Images can be touched.
Image Crafting: Crafts an image. Image is purely visual and cannot be touched. Image fades quickly. Requires a slightly long incantation.
Shadow Crafting: Produces a "real image", capable of being touched. Disipates as easily as a mirror image, but can strike at full strength.
Melding: Renders a target invisible as long as they don't move.
Arcanum Exitium- Heavy duty destructive magic. Tend to have long incantations.
Lightning Bolt: A spell which displaces electrical charge on an opponent. After a few moments, this results in a lance of electrical energy. In other words, Seji launches a lightning bolt. This is like a strong, ultra fast ki blast. Takes a few moments to charge, however.
Shattering: After an incantation, strikes or touches an object, sending waves of energy through it. This energy can be directed through the object. This causes the object to begin to break apart. Seji mostly uses this to shake the ground to unbalance ground based foes.

His unconventional use of ki is something of a mystery, though he claims he could teach others to do the same.
