White noise...glorious background music. That was all the jinchuriki could hear amongst the screams as she moved from one mercenary to the next. She stood still when she felt her clone jump, hands in the snake hand seal. The hornet clone jumped off of her shoulders into a tuck while the original held down a large mass of the mercenaries with her paralyzing lightning chakra. The clone held up the tiger hand sign and they both called out in unison, "Coming of the Lightning Fire Pheonix!"

The clone released a massive wave off fire, igniting an explosion in the vicinity and incinerating those caught in the four meter blast zone. Along the fringes, others still suffered burns up to two meters away due to the release of heat. The hornet landed lightly on her summoner's shoulders, still in her "Remi" form.

"I'm getting bored." Remi said to her friend. The hornet laughed a little bit and sat on her shoulder, balance perfectly kept.

"Let us finish this then, yes? Show them why the Mitarashi name should be feared." Remi hummed but nodded once in acceptance. The two sped of, Remi on the ground and Odiah in the trees.

The young jonin made two hand signs with one hand while Odiah unraveled a scroll. Two sets of strung senbon were dropped to Remi, who caught them in her free hand. She held one between her pinky and ring finger while she threw one in the middle of a crowded clearing, rife with another mass of enemies. She then shifted the other and threw it towards the front of the group. At the same time, Odiah threw her senbon at a man towards the back of the group as well as next to Remi's in the middle on the opposite side. Remi and Odiah then pulled them together to create a crossing box of wire. Remi anchored hers in a tree, creating a conducting link at she twisted the wires around each other. A few of the soldiers tried to warn their comrades of the senbon while others started to look for the assailants. Remi circled around in time for her Hornet summon as she finished her preparations.

"Dragon Fire Technique!" Odiah called from her position in the trees. A brilliant jet of fire followed a line of wire before it split into two. The massive, bright orange-red attack engulfed a good half of the men in the clearing and seemed to jump from body to body. Once it hit the middle a few seconds later, the fire raced along Remi's senbon anchored wire. The horrified front of the army pocket could only stare down their own demise in the form of two more jets of fire on either side of them. The back half had turned to run from the flames, only to be funneled by another two lines planted by the clone.

"False Darkness." Were the last words that they'd heard. Remi preformed the jutsu she'd prepared and charged earlier. A large spear of lightning formed in front of her open mouth before she released it. The spear split into 8 smaller, but still large spears and lanced through the crowd. It was nothing short of a masscre as the smell of burning, burnt, and smoldering bodies and cloth rose from the clearing. Remi took in a deep breath as her hornet clone dropped next to her, she'd since moved from her perch to stay out of firing range.

"You ok?" the human cloaked hornet asked.

"Smells bad. Is our assistance required elsewhere?" she asked.

"Rest for a bit. I'll go check." the hornet said before she released her clone self. Now as a full Hornet, she flew over the burning remains to check the rest of the battlefield. Remi sat down to take a break small rest. Her mind was tapped due to the creativity these last three or so mass engagements required. Within her mind, Gyuuki was calming her to keep her from freaking out.
Ok.
Waiting for tentacles to kill more Shinobi.
A a screaming man flew through the air before he was impaled on a tree root. The crackle of lightning intensified before another man fell from her grip, a hole in his chest. She idly scratched at her neck and didn't look at Killak as he landed with a loud "Thump".

The hornet dropped the head of a mercenary at her feet before her shook of the nine or so, impaled ninja on his stinger. His antennae swirled in the air rapidly, "So we are done here then." Killak's head bobbed. "Good. Let's move on then, I want to be done by dinner."

She hopped onto the Drone with a grin. The drone took off, body low to the ground as he zipped to the mass of enemies. "You take a break. Let Odiah know she next." she said as she began to make handsigns again. The hornet nodded then disappeared, which left Remi flying through the air until she landed...on someone's back.

The mercenary slid, face down on the ground. Using her still blooded palm, she touches the man's back, "Summoning Technique, Odiah." The startled group of mercenaries could only watch as a three foot long hornet appeared from the body of their comrade and stare them down.

"Hornet Art: Summoning Copy Technique." the hornet said in a low, faintly feminine but dark voice. In the hornet's place was a perfect double of her mistress, also cloaked in the Lightning Armor. The two looked at each other and smirked. "Shall we?"

"Yes." Remi replied before they both became a blur.
Alejandra didn't back down from Conrad, rather she met his eyes as she listened to formulate her reply.

"You were chosen because old men are getting sick of constantly bitching at each other. You practically represent children with how divided we are. I was called on to represent my home and our related lands to foreigners. I AM you, just on a smaller scale." she put her hands on her hips. "You're here for more than to just bitch like the rest of those old men, Conrad. You're supposed to be representing us as the Midlands, not acting like a child and throwing away valuable opportunities..." she ran her hand through her hair.

"I get that you don't want to fight his war, but do you really think the Gauls would stop there? Any number of champions could give those Gauls pause. What if they try to invade Albany through our lands if Albany's champion beats theirs? They'll think us weaker and ripe for the taking." she rubbed her eyes. "Sure, maybe getting involved in the Champion face-off would make us targets, but either way, we could be involved. Why not be proactive and show them how mighty we are?" she asked in frustration.

"Regardless...being stuck under your thumb all night hasn't given me the chance to present Columbus' gifts to the King and Queen in thanks for their invitation." she looked back at Conrad and closed her opinion: "You make valid points. But I still think you made the wrong decision in not discussing this with the other delegates. What if they do choose a champion, but a demand two as an accurate representation of The Land of A Thousand Kings? They choose their strongest and then one from our represented area? You know St. Louis can be cutthroat. It would weaken us tremendously, if for the sake of them posturing to show their dominance. And you put yourself into a spot since you waived the ability to have any choice in the decision making of our Champion. You'll let the "book King" choose one instead. You had the upper hand, Conrad..." now her fear was apparent.
"Go." is the only command Remi uttered. She dropped off of the hornet as the clones above her all cried out, "Wild Water Wave!" Five massive waves of water came crashing as one tidal wave across a large section of the forest. She watched the tidal wave stretch out to create a large "Lake" area, dozens upon dozens of shinoni were trapped or outright crushed by the weight of the water.

Remi landed a few seconds after the water did, almost as if she were a feather. Her looked around at the fallen trees and bodies that were suspended in the chakra created water. The jonin made another handsign and said, "Lightning Release Armor." Lightning chakra sparked around her before it engulfed her body with lightning.

Unfortunately for the shinoni stuck in the water, her lightning electrified the water due to her feet's contact with the water. Bodies began to float to the top of the water ominously, even as her clones followed her to the ground. Remi looked from clone to clone before she smirked, and released their holds on the water. The electrified water rushed through the forests like a raging river, engulfing more and more mercenaries. One by one, her clones disappeared as did the water, until she stood alone on dry land, surrounded by bodies. "Alright. Now the fun begins, yes?" she asked before she dashed off to blindside another group of mercenaries with her nintaijutsu.
Alejandra watched the entire meeting take place, her face darkening more and more with every negotiation. By the time to boards were signed, her fists were clenched tighter than a baby's around a finger. She was seething now.

She understood the King's stance, and was quite happy that Conrad wouldn't be choosing the champion. But rather than ask for time to discuss with the separate delegation, Conrad just...gave it up?! She kept her head high, but nearly anyone could see the rage in her eyes should they deem her important enough to look at. When she saw the fellow guards disperse she immediately went to Conrad for answers.

"What in the blazes was that?" she hissed through clenched teeth. "You...do you not get what you've just done?" she ran her fingers through her hair in aggravation, "Why the old guys chose you, I don't know...you KNOW that anything that regards the Midlands affects everyone. Why didn't you request a stay to discuss this with the other delegates? Or at the very least, pretend to actually take to time to think of someone you brought as a guard? The king had enough on his plate for you to shove off a consideration that could have meant glory for our region, if not the Midlands as a whole." she growled angrily. She cleared her throat and lowered her voice more, "At least have the courtesy to offer a name before making demands. Is that what you want all of us known as: Ungrateful Barbaric Brutes?"
The Jinchiriki clicked her tongue and the Hornet gained some air. She didn't look at Izari but also didn't answer for a few seconds.

"Gyuuki strong. More than a squid, more than a bull." Killak motioned to her as they approached the opposing army. She tapped the side of his head again and then clicked her tongue so that the Hornet would bank to the right. "Mitarashi clan is known for chakra control and aggressive approach to battlefield tactics. Empress believed this would cause a bond with Gyuuki." she paused as she made the tiger hand sign.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu." in a puff of smoke, five shadow clones lined up next to her, all of them making the tiger seal. They simultaneously went into a flurry of handsigns, while Remi just seemed to scratch her neck beneath her scarf.

"We will clear the first wave of enemies, gives you time to get to the ground safely." Remi just nodded toward the horde of enemies directly below them now. The clones all lined up on either side, all of them seemed to be holding their breaths while they waited for Remi's command. "Jump when ready."

Gyuuki reminded her that while her chakra stores had increased incredibly since he began to train her, she still needed to be careful. Her then reminded her that she could always take a Military Ration Pellet, but he figured it might be wasted depending on how this first volley went. Remember Remi, no more than three seconds of breath. Regulating your breathing is just as important as regulating your chakra consumption for this. You want these clones to stay around for a while. Her eyebrow twitched in response to the Bijuu, "Mk."

Killak's antennae motioned towards the ground which prompted the jounin to look down. She saw a young man running, almost directly, beneath them. She was mildly impressed and tapped the third segment of the drone's antennae. The hornet took the encouragement and turned down into a rather steep dive. They leveled out right in front of the "Tentacle Boy" as Neferti called him. She was sure his name was Izari...Izanari? No...Izari...The Hornet's leg twitched outwards in response to her questioning countenance.

"Get on, running wastes energy." The autistic woman frowned a little bit at the sound of her own voice being carried by the wind. The hornet continued to fly close to the ground, even as Remi offered Izari her arm. "Killak is strong, fly fine."
