Would you like your oracle gift wrapped?
Furnace was staring at the sunset as he heard a thud behind him.
He saw Alula lie down in the dirt. Confused he looked at the others, most seemed to either pay no mind or looked concerned. He remembered how he had been wrapped in a large blue cloth when he fell asleep. This was no doubt custom. So he chose not to ask questions and act as if he knew this was normal.

He threw the cloth over her and rolled her in it. She seemed unhurt, so giving her some positive energy would only wake her. She did claim she wanted rest right? He could help her with that too... He toyed with ideas of experimentation while he glared at his hand where a diminutive black spark danced eagerly.
It would help her sleep... But it would probably hurt... Furnace decided against it. At least until he found the taster of smiles.

In the end he just dragged the cloth coccoon over to Kelvin.
"You seem to have a plan regarding shelter? Where should she be?"
I really like this paladin.
I've seen many paladins either disrupt everything or just kinda fall into the background as murderhobboness ensues.

Carver is executed magnificently.
You guys seem worried about the bomb. You should be. But not because you might get hurt.

Anyways I kinda rushed my last post from a mobile phone (hense the spelling errors) because of RL people waiting on me.
I see no one else has posted so if you guys don't mind I want to add a little something. i assume Bedivere doesn't hide his mood and is visually tempted to kill him? I'd like Martin to say one more thing...

Also to awnser your question on who would stop you: Mithias might but would likely be too conflicted, so I'd be dead before he had a chance to decide I was worth the hassle. Llusia however already has killed a vampire for Martin's sake. She probably values her curiosity over her respect for Bedi.

Martin is counting on it.
"Oh I am."
Martin replied in a cocky fashion in an instinctive attempt to conceal his surprise. No matter how much you expect to be snuck up on..

"Now.I think I have a large portion of the more influential among you before me. Aren't I lucky? Please follow me with intrest and barely contained exitement."

Martin grinned a grin that could almost match Mo's as he slowly stepped back into the main hall.

There were several other vampires still there, discussing their own local politics no doubt. All looked up as Martin raised his voice.

"Ladies, gentlemen and creatures old enough to predate mortal gender notions! I, mortal messenger of a collector, present the deal of my lifetime. Don't blink, you might miss it!"

With dramatic flourish he put the two coffers on the council table.
Trained eyes could read his hidden care for the boxes.
He lifted a sliding knob on the smaller box to reveal why. Behind thick plexiglass the box's interiour became visible.

A small stone tablet, no larger than a face. On it engraved was a incomprehensible text and a carved depiction of the sun. Staring with a stern face.
On each side of the tablet a half-litre bottle with suspicious liquid was seen. Each attached to wires and blinking lights.

"Behold the Exile stone! Locked in a cage of mutual destruction. To be released the moment I leave with this other coffer.."
He paused to tap on the larger case, which reactively opened to reveal it was empty, save for foam cut out so it would fit a sword.

"With contagion."

Martin looked around the room as hungry eyes leered at him in silence. He surpressed his insticts to go for his gun. It seemed not everyone was as impressed as he thought he'd be, and to completely rely on his new friend seemed foolish. He picked the Vampire who seemed most likely to choose bloodlust over curiosity. The host stared at him with not so much hunger, but rage. Offense? So Martin gave him an innocent look.
"What's the matter?" He whispered, knowing everyone could hear him just as well.
"Don't you want to be immune to sunlight?"
Furnace didn't get the idea of biting on wood. Wood wasn't food. He tried that. But as Kelvin held his arm right. And what felt like surges of negative energy ran trough his arms, he noticed he was gritting his teeth. The wood was a safeguard? This guy was really smart.

When Kelvin gave the signal Furnace concentrated and forced another golden white coil from his hands to dance along his arm.
The sparks sank into the flesh and they both heard the unsettling sound of setting bones. Like wet leather being strained against a hollow tree.

A few sparks missed their mark and jumped up Kelvins fingers instead. Immediately clearing out diminutive cuts amd bruises on his working hands.

"Thmph yuth."
Furnace spit out the stick.
It had deep bitemarks in it.
"Thank you."
He stretched his arms. He felt a little sore, but the pain was banished and he noticed a strong feeling of relief.

He looked around. The structure was unclear in it's function. But appeared well built regardless.
"How can I aid you in return?"

B-but, Suki hasn't seduced anyone to their deaths yet
And I'll probably hold off kissing Separ, don't think Suki can drag him to the clearing

I vote for the kid. All of the drama!

So anyways. Furnace wakes.
I'm going to bed. Have a good one.
Furnace found himself floating in a delicous bowl of warm soup. Birdcalls and muffled screams played on loop in the distance.

"hello again. It has been a while has it not?"

Furnace recognised the voice well.
"It sure has. I've seen so much since last time."
"I predicted your freedom did I not?"
The hollow voice grinned without mouth or body, yet it's emotions were clear to Furnace.
"You did! And I discovered plants. And food, and friends, and fights and-"
"Fights. Yes."
The voice interupted Furnace sternly.
"And now you've gone and broken yourself you fool."
...
"I discovered that too. I can just repair it right?""And what if you break yourself too much one day? To an extent you can't be fixed?"
...
"I hadn't thought of that. What happens then? Will I remain broken?"
"That is something you will have to find out. Remeber you are more similar to these new.. friends of yours than you are to me."
"The friends have given me names for me to call them by. Will you give me yours?"
...
"Not until you know your own. Little Furnace. For now go do what you do best. You have barely used any of your potential. Nor have you even
touched your negative reserves."

"What good is the negative energy!? All it does is hurt!""Ask... the Taster of Smiles."

"Who is the taster of smiles!?"
Furnace cringed trough the second part of the last sentence. A sharp sting in his shoulder informed him he was awake. Covered in sweat and panting from the exhausting pain he crawled out of the cloth he was wrapped in. As he looked around he saw trees and some of his new friends.

He had no idea where he was. But judging by the marks on Carvers skin and armor he had been near him. Was he broken? Was he going to stay broken? He crawled over to the damaged paladin and unceremoneously let himself drop next to him, laying on his back with his good arm on Carver.

Slowly he let energy flow from his hands and onto the fallen knights burns. Jolts of golden bright danced along fields of blistered skin until layers reattached, senew regrew and colors turned the right shade of bronze pink.

Meanwhile Furnace looked to the other side the strange scented man build something impressive.
"Hello again. I'm awake and soon I'll help you build.. that..
But first can you help me?"
With his head he nodded at his bloody arm.
"I need to repair this. But as is the core will not attach properly. I don't want a crooked arm because I fear it won't work as well. Can you hold it while I pump it full of positive energy?"

I suppose you're right, my bad XD

Though, I didn't put down any powers for the creatures or the villians, so at least that's not spoiled? :D

Edit: Actually part of that needed to be spoiled, just so we know that some of our characters actually leave to get more snacks and the like.

plot spoilers are way worse than details like powers imo.

oh well.

how flamable are circus tents anyways? I hope one of the clowns has cold magic or something.

..

Also. how is this for a themesong to the campaign so far?
@Dragonbud @Kronshi The side plot I had in mind was...

I like the sidequest. But shouldn't you pm this to kronshi instead? It's already spoiled now.
