The Dead and the Dying

After a moment he noticed two young people, one with a M14 aimed in his general direction.

"Know how to use that thing, kid?" he asked.

"I know how to shoot guns. Ain't used this particular one yet."

A few walkers suddenly came from around the front of the train, heading directly for them.

Alex popped a few quick shots at the walkers. He hit the first two in the head, the third one in the chest, but completely missed the fourth one. "Crap. Kiley, get the one on the right. I'll get the one on the left."

"On it." They both quickly moved towards the walkers. Alex used the butt of the gun to hit his walker in the mouth knocking it to the ground. After which he proceeded to shoot it in the face. Kiley pulled out her machete and swung at the walker's head catching it but not going through completely. Alex pulled out his katana and stabbed the other walker through the side and yanked backwards causing it to fall down but pulling the katana with it. "Shoot. Hey, Hitman. A little help over here."

Alex had been placed into the second match of the evening. Ever since he joined GPW they had been putting him in tag matches to see who he clicked with. No one was matching the style and persona that Alex had. Tonight it was some jobber who had been around for a long time. It was obvious they were running out of potential partners for him. Anyway they were up against a well established tag team who had been together and clicked. Alex and his 'partner' were set to lose by the jobber walking out on Alex and leaving him to fend for himself. It was coming up to the moment where Alex would get stabbed in the back like many times before. Alex's 'partner' was doing the cliche thing of getting the crap beat out of him, start a comeback, and knock the other legal competitor out the ring. The guy stumbled towards Alex and tagged him in. Alex quickly got over the ropes to 'help' his partner to stay standing. From the crowd chants of "RAZORBLADE" were going crazy. Alex whispered into the jobbers ear, "Get it over with." The jobber hit Alex in the gut and proceeded to hit him with a hard ddt. Boos echoed throughout as the jobber walked away. The legal competitor was climbing into the ring and rushed over to pin Alex. As every other time he kicked out just before three.

Alex started to mount a fairly decent comeback starting off with a side kick to the groggy opponent. He ran and bounced off the ropes delivering a bicycle kick. Climbing to the top turn buckle he was stopped by the other opponent. Having been knocked off the top rope the legal competitor quickly tagged his partner and followed with their usual tag team finishing move. With that Alex was pinned 1, 2, 3. He got a few cheers as he walked to the backstage. His night wasn't over though. After every failed partnership Alex had to give a backstage interview. It always went the same, "To every underdog out there. Just know this. Fear is conquerable. These guys who think they can keep me down via fear don't know me well enough. I will always stand back up until I prove to all the top dogs out there that we, the Underdogs, are the ones they should fear." Its true that he believes it, he just wants to be able to show the proof of what he says to all the fans out there.

Later that night he's sitting in the locker room. He listened to the other newcomers talk about the exciting news of the Battle In Seattle stipulation and told himself, "I hope this will finally be my time to shine."

The Dead and the Dying

(Since I am so far behind I will do a quick 'recap' of what happens with Alex and Kiley and then I will do my actual post.)

Alex, at the University preparing for his role in the production at the Black Box Theater, was waiting with all the other cast members for the director to show up. She was unusually late, but then burst through the back stage doors. The assistant director went to ask her why she had been so late when she lashed out and chomped on the neck of the man. That's when everyone saw her face. It had been torn partially off. Chaos started and everyone ran in different directions. Alex checked on the audience and saw similar disaster happening among them. He quickly sneaked further into the depths of the backstage corridors. He called Kiley to see where she was. She told him she was sorry for being late and said that she was still at the large university apartment building that they along with others had rented. He told her to stay and not open the door for anyone. He told her that something was wrong at that he would come to her. He eventually got outside and grabbed an umbrella by the door.

He ran to where his truck was suppose to be but it was surrounded by whatever the things were. Out of the corner of his eyes he saw two guys fighting near a motorcycle. Neither of them were one of those things so he came up behind one of them and hit him in the back of the head with his 'weapon'. Before the other one could finish his sentence of thanking Alex he used the umbrella to smack the guy in the gut and quickly hopped on the cycle and drove off towards where Kiley was.

When he got there Kiley was fighting off one of their roommates who had turned. Alex quickly grabbed his grandfathers katana off the wall mount and got the attention of their 'friend'. When it started stumbling towards Alex he swung the sword at the thing nicking its ear off catching it in the arm. Having not slowed it down Alex quickly kicked it in the gut knocking it to the ground. Alex stomped on its neck hopping to choke it out but to no avail. In a last ditch effort Kiley grabbed the replica machete and stabbed at its head taking a few tries to break the skull. They realized quickly that they needed to get out of there and away from the city. They gathered any supplies they could find in the apartment.

When they left the building Kiley was skeptical of how Alex got the motorcycle, but he didn't tell her anything. Before leaving the city Alex said they should stop by a gun shop and try to get some guns. Kiley was against the idea but didn't say no to it. When they got to the gun store they ran into three people. Surprisingly though the three men where actually handing out guns according to who came in so that no one hogged all the weapons.They walked out with a M14 rifle with Iron Sights.

Alex and Kiley tried to leave via the highway but noticed a military blockade up ahead gunning down most who come to close. They did a quick u-turn and Alex saw the creatures coming in their direction and he drove into the only opening he saw, the entrance to a subway station.

"Alex, are you sure this is a good idea."

"Well, we have no other options. Just hold on." They slowly went down the stairs so as to not topple over. Relieved when he realized the things weren't following them Alex gestured to Kiley to be quiet for a while. They got off the ZX-1OR and slowly rolled it down the steps. When they got to where the subways were suppose to be Alex said, "I think we're in the clear for now."

"You positive. Those people are starting to freak me out."

"I don't think they're people anymore. Hey did you ever get a reply from the other roomies?"

"No. What are we gonna do now? I'm getting really scared here."

"Don't worry. Let's just try and get out of the city." With that they hop back on the ZX-1OR and head in the direction they think would get them out the fastest. After a while of driving they come across a subway train and here some commotion from inside. Kiley hands Alex the M14 that was strapped to her back and he aims it at the train, "Anyone in there? We're friendly. Are you?"

Gimmick: He is an underdog and opportunist. He prefers to be in multi-man matches or team ups which is where he thrives. He will help anyone who asks him. He tells the fans that he was just like them. A fan who wanted to be more. He will often say that if they try hard enough they can to. He stands up for the weak and aims for the top dogs. He has a chant that he often uses, "There's no need to fear. The Underdog is here."
Personality: Despite being super warm and nice to the fans backstage Alex is very closed off to others. He is somewhat anti-social but loves putting on his persona. He wishes he was more 'friendly' but doesn't know how to be. He truly does care for the fans and his co-workers even if it doesn't seem like it.
Biography:Alex didn't grow up in harsh conditions. He was a normal average fan like he says and wanted to be more. He grew up in an area with a lot of other kids who loved wrestling. They all would often gather together and have their own 'promotions' before gathering near a TV to watch the pros. Alex was one of the better kids in the area.

As all the kids grew older they all realized only a few of them were good enough to potentially live out all of their dreams. Eight kids in number gave up their individual dreams to help support the three best of their group, Alex being one of them. For the next two years they helped the three train and then one day they set up a dark match with a distant promotion. A 3-on-3 tag team match. They new blood lost horribly, but surprisingly the manager of the company signed two of the kids to join the CWA, Carolina Wrestling Association. For the next few months the two new guys were a dominant tag team and the more veteran teams didn't like them. They kept hassling the two inside the ring and out. It all culminated in a match between Alex and his partner against three members from various teams. Alex and his partner were doing well in the unscripted match until Alex's 'friend' hit him in the back of the head with a chair. Apparently the guy couldn't take the harassment and abandoned Alex and left the show for good.

After the horrible loss Alex started his Underdog Gimmick. Fans started eating it up. One guy betrayed vs the world. CWA's records were going through the roof. Then the company fell flat due to constant lawsuits from past competitors because of constant injuries. Alex started roaming from place to place in various indy scenes. The little reputation he had built in CWA was dwindling until an old veteran of GPW saw Alex perform and took the young guy under his wing and showed him the ropes of the big leagues. Alex trained harder than he ever had and when the vet thought he was ready he called Jack Flanagan to set up a trial match. Alex did better than ever before and signed a contract a few days later. And the rest is yet to come.

Make one out of a random log/stick like Morgan did. With Kiley she doesn't exists at all. The only real thing about her is the Indiana Jones machete.
