4. Are we limited sticky to human/humanoid fighters? Amongst one concept I have is an amorphous character who is akin to Arakune from the blazblue series, but giving up his Curse ability for greater defensive ability and agility. Not quite a stonewall in the sense he's nothing but defense, but neither is he a fragile speedster in that he can't take a hit, but fast and durable at the price of lowering his overall damage output. Also the fact he's a shapeless, amorphous being. Can't exactly grab his nonexistent arm or decapitate his nonresistant neck.

Nope, though we do lack those sort of characters. I think Skall had a dragon for the Continuum.

"Ah, I don't..." Alice started before yelping in surprise when the stick struck Nathan. She looked at the teacher and then the sign that was being pointed at. She blinked in astonishment, the sign wasn't there the last time she attended, was it a special rule made because the princess were going to attend to avoid suitors from harassing her? The girl remembered the princess complaining that she didn't look forward to marriage at all.
Still, she should've noticed it sooner, they wouldn't get in trouble if she had.

Looking apologetically towards Nathan, Alice opened her mouth to speak her apology but was stilled by the teacher's malicious glare as Nathan stood up and left the hall to look for Meira. "Ah, yes sir," Alice nervously nodded when the teacher turned his attention to her. Slowly, she moved over to another group with familiar faces where she was greeted with teasing over her demerit.

"Oh..." Alice blinked before continuing with a twinge of disappointment. "You're not human either? Please don't mind my question then..." She looked away in embarrassment before looking back to Nathan. "Um, about Regia, they're people that have gone through a procedure that allows humans like me to be able to use magic, I'm not sure what it involves since its mostly run by the Kingdom and not something available to everyone. I'm... sorry I thought you're one..."

Though, how many Regia were actually human rather than those disguised as a human? A small voice whispered conspiratorially in the back of her mind.

"Oh, you're just turned to a Regia recently?" Alice asked. She momentarily looked away from Nathan before biting her lips and turned back to him. "Can you tell me how it feels to be able to use magic?"

Her face then turned slightly red, "I mean, if you don't mind telling me. It's just my idle curiosity..."

Alice sat impatiently in the room as she waited until the screening starts. She already knew where she would end up anyway as it's the only option for her, that makes the screening moot but it's mandatory to attend and therefore she has to stay for the duration. Noticing that Nathan was similarly looking bored as he wait, Alice decided to converse with him.

"Um, hey, Nathan," she started. "You're the princess' bodyguard right? How long have you been at it? Being a bodyguard I mean, I thought all bodyguards are older and you don't look much older than I am, but... after what I'm told, I just can't think age corelate with your appearance..."

Alice gave a grateful nod to Meira for the name. Although something about the name seems very familiar. Where did she hear that name before? However, her dive on memory have to wait as Nathan looked at the Meira look-alike the "wrong" way and had attracted her ire. Oh, she's the angsty noble type. I hope it would start already, she thought.

But nah, I got the name, but all the runes part of his arsenal got burned.
