An echo of a bamboo sharply clacking against a rock reverberated throughout the serene, traditional Japanese garden, as the sōzu (water fountain) repeated its upwards and downwards motions with the filling and emptying of the bamboo fountain piece. The water in the pond stirred, koi fishes of different variety of colors decorated the viridescent waters, from orange to white to black, and even blue. A faint summer breeze blew past the now green cherry blossom tree, lightly rustling its leaves as a few number of them were carried away by the wind, eventually descending upon the ground. The only other sound that broke the tranquil silence was the shrilling of a cicada, which truly marked the beginning of the burning heat season.

A raven haired male was seated in a kneeling position on the wooden floor of a veranda with the scenery of the aforementioned garden. Still as a tree, the male sat down in silence with minimal movement, his blue eyes shut closed and hands firmly placed atop his lap. A wooden sword rested on the floor beside him as if it had recently been used. He was adorned in a kendogi, the appropriate uniform worn when one practiced kendo, which exactly hinted what he had been doing previously. Ren, the said male, was in the middle of his meditation after a strenuous sword practice session. Clearing one's mind of unnecessary thoughts in a relaxing environment was how he favored to take his breaks. How old geezer-like as it may sound, Ren was still a middle schooler but the influence of the people around him caused him to be this way. Being tutored at the comfort of his home without peers from his age group did not make the matters any better.

A set of footsteps from the hallway approached the young heir before it was revealed to be from his old butler. Ren stayed in his initial position with no reaction whatsoever, knowing well enough that it was possibly one of his servants. The old man upon being at a certain distance, deeply bowed as a greeting to his master and gently set a serving of green tea beside the boy before parting his lips to speak.

"Pardon me for my intrusion young master, but Master Kanesada has instructed me to inform you of your compulsory attendance to the summer festival this evening being held at the city."

"............... Is it truly necessary?"

"He has mentioned of an heir being announced tonight for our allied group, Vongola."

"..... Understood. Make haste preparations."

Same but I guess I wouldn't need an answer back since I just pmed suggestions. Or could it be that RPG has issues with pm sending recently?
@Vongola_Hasayo: ALSO, random important question, is Luca already the candidate of Vongola XI at this point? It's possibly crucial for me to know so I could make it as an excuse for Ren to go to the festival.
lmao the self proclaimed successor, nice and funny bit. Working on a post atm, not sure if will post tonight or tom. Well it's already my tom so today I mean.
Ito, the involuntary meat shield tank of the team lmao. But eh, not all anti-hero or villainous chara are hated by other charas, maybe majority but not all.
lol good point, it'd be nice to have an anti-hero or villanous chara once in awhile.
Also Ikr kidnapping hype is real
Mmmmm... I'll give it another week before considering anything. But that'd be nice, just that I'm not suited for a GM position.
OMG RIP Haru. Erm. You can always download using the fluctuating net of yours like an emulator of an old console and play rom on it? I used to play N64 games like Ocarina of Time, Starfox and other adventures games for nostalgia but Idk what kind of games you favor.
Such a shame though, not a lot of RPs are ever based on toddler/child characters, would've been cute and a nice change of pace.
Shizuka Otonashi || Warakuma Mall || April 19 SUN

A pair of hazel brown eyes, behind the dark strands, blinked in surprise at how Alexei bowed deeply as an apology for the late introduction. While Shizuka admired the sincerity of the foreign man, she thought it unnecessary for him to take it to that extent as it wasn't that much of a deal. She waved her hand in a manner to show that it was alright and spoke in a rattled tone, "I-It's quite alright, I-I should have asked earlier as well. But I'm pleased to be acquainted with you as well, elder Dragunov-san." Even as she pronounced the name for the second time, her pronunciation was off due to the rough syllabication that she was used to in the Japanese language.

Just when Shizuka had finished scanning through one of the plastic bags in her possession, Alexei started on a more detailed introduction of himself as they continued to walk. Occasional nods were given as a sign of acknowledgment from the shorter, petite girl while she waited for the opportunity to reply to the other, after he was done with his piece, of course. As an empty bench was caught in sight, Shizuka approached it along with Alexei and gently placed the bag down before taking her own seat.

"Oh! Um... Do you happen to be studying at Warakuma High? Pe-Perhaps I might be wrong but... I study there you see, a-and I might have caught sight of someone similar to you." Her voice at this point was soft and unsure from the uncertainty and possible embarrassment of mistaking him for someone else. While she could've sworn he looks familiar, school wasn't the only likely place to spot people.

As she rummaged through the contents of the other bags, she continued, "I-If I may ask, what exactly is your part time job? I have a part time as well actually, a waitress in a cosp-- c-ca-cafe I mean, pa-pardon me. A-An ordinary ca-cafe like any other." A sudden panic ran through her, the moment she absentmindedly almost revealed the job she vowed not to reveal anyone she knew. Finding a new topic to talk about instead, Shizuka suddenly recalled about the card the man was about to hand over to her. With an open hand towards the other, the internally panicking girl stuttered harshly, "O-Oh! A-About that card you were s-speaking of earlier, ma-may I see it?"
