Hey, the name's Leigh, nice to meet you. I like to think I'm a pretty relaxed and friendly person. Feel free to message me anytime.

Premise - An adventurer/warrior/wanderer of some ilk awakes from a nightmare in a place they don't recognize. They find themselves bandaged and can feel multiple injuries on their body. Shortly after rising, a monk enters the room they're in. The monk explains that they are at a monastery, brought here by a passerby that found their wounded body in the nearby forest. The monk assures the adventurer/warrior/wanderer of some ilk that they ask for nothing in return for treating their injuries and that the monastery has a safe place to lie their head for as long as the injured may need it. There are multiple other injured souls that are staying in the Monastery, but it seems that there's a single Monk. The Monk refuses to divulge who exactly the God he prays to is and avoids any questions about injured guests who seem to disappear in the night, one at a time. The longer the Adventurer/Warrior/Wanderer of some ilk stays at the Monastery, the worse their nightmares seem to get.

Setting - This RP would take place in a medieval fantasy world, specifically at a monastery with oriental inspired decor. Large pillows on the floor rather than chairs. The interior would have sliding paper doors, while there would be no exterior doors. A stone wall encircles the monastery, as well as the courtyard that it sits in the middle of. A flat rock face sits at the back of the courtyard, the small mouth of a cave dug into it. Across the mouth of the cave is a rope, paper charms hanging from it. A large koi pond rests in front of the rock face, preventing anyone from getting too close to the cave. Stepping stones peek over the surface of the water, each one three feet away from the last. The courtyard is filled with a lush garden that the lone monk that resides there spends most of the daylight tending to. The monastery itself is situated atop a steep hill. The hill isn't large enough to be called a mountain, but is impossible to climb or descend without the help of the set of steps carved into the path that leads in and out of the monastery.

Looking For - 1-2 people to play injured characters the Monk is treating and investigate the shady going-ons of this strange monastery. One person would play the character that awakes in the premise, starting the story off. The other person will play an injured character that's been recovering at the monastery for some time and seen at least one other injured person disappear. I'll be playing the Monk, as well as the other Non-Player-Controlled injured characters as needed.
Hey everyone, my name is Leigh. I'm a cook with a lot of off time in Winter/early Spring and I like to pass the time writing and roleplaying (among other things). Most of my hobbies are extremely sporadic and I'll go weeks to months without even thinking about them. The only hobby I never seem to get tired of is Roleplaying. I love story-telling in all of its forms and something about being able to tell a story with someone instead of to someone is really appealing to me.

My more sporadic hobbies include cartoons, sewing, and collecting TCGs/CCGs. As far as cartoons go, I like to collect DvD releases of shows and animated movies that I really enjoy, as well as getting a hold of older cartoons that aren't always easy to find. I also run a blog (which I haven't updated for a few months now) that I post reviews and cartoon news on.

So, how long have I been a roleplayer? That's tough to say really. I remember the first time I discovered roleplaying was on Gaia Online, a game I haven't played for probably a decade now. I joined a few roleplaying clubs on the site, but nothing really came out of any of them. I'd be able to get a few posts in before either most of the club dropped out, or the people that were fun to roleplay with all dropped out or stopped responding. I'm not sure how that didn't sour me on the format back then. Really all it did was make me wanna roleplay more and possibly find one that I could actually experience the ending of. That was probably back in 2010 or so. I haven't been roleplaying for a solid 9 years or anything like that, but I've been writing since I was 8 (I'm 20 now, 21 in May) and I feel like a lot of the skills I learned from writing translate really well into roleplaying. I have, however, been consistently roleplaying for over 2 years now.

Roleplaying Preferences? I've always leaned towards the fantasy side of things. Sci-Fi never really interested me nearly as much as magic, warriors, castles, and the sort. Of course modern day with plenty of supernatural happenings can be a lot of fun as well. If I had to rank the three it'd be fantasy at top, then supernatural, with Sci-Fi taking up the rear.

One on one roleplays are what I have the most expirience with, but I like the idea of a small group roleplay. More people to add in their certain brand of storytelling, but not too many where someone might end up falling behind and having to drop out.

Anyways, I think that just about wraps up all I have to say about myself.
