Innocentia tried to be brave when both Ryle and Will said they'd be fine but it was hard.
she was just a little kid, she didn't even know why there were there, they were just 'special' or something.
She perked up a little when Will said "I think we should make a plan to escape together. We don't want to get caught by any monsters, or get in anyone's way when it is time to go, right?"
"i ... i like that idea" she sniffled "i don't want to get separated from you guys"
she looked at the wall then back them "why are we even ... even here?" she asked, wiping tears from her cheeks "i don't understand any of this"

when Leroy said “No, unfortunately I missed all that. When I heard about it I really wished I actually came on the first day. Did you get to see the fight up close or anything?”
oona replied with "sort of, i was actually part of what started the fight in a way, some guy hit a friend of mine so a bunch of us went up to protect him, my friend, and well, then a demon appeared, apparently really pissed that this guy had hit my friend and well, that's when the big fight started, i got out pretty quickly after that, i'm not good around flames, being a sea creature and all"
Oona laughed when Leroy said “Aah, I’m sure you could but that’d make for a boring movie. Unless you wanted to keep Nemo captive and create some drama of your own that is.”
"that might have made for a more fun movie, not for kids granted but still interesting," she smiled "not sure what i would do with him once i had him though, Marlin wasn't exactly the richest of clownfish"
“Yeah. Some people find it beneficial to learn the basics from someone else first, but in the end it just comes down to practice.Besides, I personally don’t think there’s really a ‘proper’ way to make or learn art. No matter what you make, some people will like it and others will think it’s stupid.”
Oona understood what Leroy said but thought it was a kind of pessimistic point of view "i guess that's true"
Leroy said "Yup, I got to meet mine. His name's Seven, a really fun guy to be around. It'd be nice if you got a chance to meet him."
Oona smiled again, she did that a lot she realized, she was just a generally happy person "i'd like to meet him sometime"
then Leroy said“Thanks. Pass it here and just lead the way back to your place. Oh, I’d appreciate it if you warned me about any trees or obstacles on the way, since the canvas will block some of my vision.” and Oona carefully handed the painting back to him.
"alright, it's this way" and she walked, by his side, up the beach towards the main resort.
"so what do you do with your free time, Leroy? besides paint?"

Alluria after a while simply laying in bed she pushed Baxter off the bed and got up.
she headed downstairs and started making dinner.
Baxter looked at her questioningly.
"what?" Alluria asked "i'm hungry"
'and' she thought 'if i'm busy making dinner i might be able to calm down a little'
she took as long as she could to make dinner without ruining it.
and finally she gave Baxter a rather large bowl of Alluria's signature stew, then got herself a bowl.
watching the wolf she thought, as she had many times, that he was a surprisingly clean eater, getting almost none of on the floor around him.
her mind started floating to the problem at hand again.
what could she do to protect everyone?

her mind was racing, what if Hattie was right? what if the Macrobians did hear about her? or even found out where she was? not only could she not escape she would put the entire town in danger.
she crossed her arms on the table in front of her and laid her head on them, ignoring Baxter's whines, asking what was wrong.

“It’s hilarious! And for me it was just my first and only day at Athalia Academy. Move in, school gets destroyed. I got to stay a little more after that with everyone else, but it was a little boring with everyone just talking about the same thing over and over again.” Leroy said, Oona nodded "yeah, it was my 2nd day is all, i was there when the student center got destroyed, were you?"
Leroy said “That’s true, maybe that’s the reason! Makes you wonder how the school’s been operating for so long at all doesn’t it?” after she suggested a reason for the long delay.
"a puzzling question" she chuckled "maybe that's how they got so good at fixing things up fast?" She laughed.
"generally not flesh, that's weird" she winked "mainly fish scaled, crab claws, i do have a the tip of a giant squid's tentacle, i keep it in a little sealed box filled with water so it doesn't dry up" she popped it open and brought out the little cube that held her favorite one "this is the claw from the smallest type of crab in the world" she put it back "it's kind of interesting being so many different kinds of creatures" she smiled then winked "i could find nemo, probably much faster then his father did" then laughed.
she was amazed that he'd gotten so good on his own "that's really cool, maybe i should just sit down and try sometime to see how well i can do it if i put my mind to it"
then he turned and said “I think it’s dried enough to be transported now. Oh, but don’t touch it until tomorrow or you’ll smudge the paint. It’s not fully dried yet.”
"yes sir" she said, then he handed her the painting and said “Can you hold this for a sec? I just wanna get all my stuff back into my bag before I carry that over to the student houses.”
"sure" Oona took the painting carefully so she wouldn't smudge anything. "do you know who you're rooming with? i haven't met my roomie yet"

“Well, free vacation. What’s there to complain about? Besides, I think this vacation has less to do with giving students a break and more to do with the fact the school was destroyed.” Leroy said.
Oona nodded "probably, kind of funny that we managed to destroy the school in just 2 days" she stretched a little, then smiled at him again, eyes drifting to the painting again.
Leroy asked "Not that I mind it here, but when do you think we can go back to school?”
Oona thought about it "i don't know, it can't be very long, it took them almost no time to fix the student center, maybe they just want us out of the way so we won't destroy the school again anytime soon" she chuckled "it would make sense, don't you think?"
then he asked if she was a mermaid, she couldn't help but laugh.
"no, i'm not human but i'm not a mermaid either, i'm what humans call a selkie. sort of a water-based shape shifter, i can change into any water-based lifeforms, fish, dolphins, squids, so on and so forth, i just need a piece of the creature" she patted the box attached to her hip as always "i keep them all in here"
"by the way, where did you learn to paint? you're really good at it, i'm not very good at artistic things" she took a step closer to Leroy and the painting, looking it over.
