Current Due to unfortunate circumstances, I will be inactive for a while - a long while. I apologize deeply for those that I have already joined and/or declared interest in joining rps. I hope to return.

Bio

I first tried my hand at forum roleplay about 12 years ago and it became one of my favorite hobbies for a number of years until the site I used to be on went down. I was on a hiatus for 5 years, but I would like to pick the hobby back up again. I love the feeling of escaping the real world for a time and immersing myself into other worlds.

I lean more towards group roleplay.

I'm not picky when it comes to slow or fast paced, however, I'm the type to sit back and look into character and story development and look into details. I can write anywhere from 2 to 5 or more paragraphs, depending on how much I'm invested into the roleplay.

I really like group discussion, also. Not only do I feel that it opens new ideas, but I like getting to know the group and their interests and writing styles.

I've like anything from fantasy, sci-fi, horror/thriller, and fan-based roleplay.
Honestly, I'm the type to try anything.

As far as myself, I'm a lass from the Southern East Coast of the US. I enjoy playing video games, drawing, and my job. I listen to music ranging from Alestorm to the Welcome to Night Vale Weather. I'm a HUGE fan of Mad Max. I have Immortan Joe's War Boy logo tattooed just below my neck. My favorite video game is Borderlands. My favorite place in the world is the beach.

I'm currently in the works of writing a novel, however, I feel like I've become stale with my writing since the hiatus I took. I find it to be relaxing and good exercise for my brain and my imagination, and I feel writing with others will help me get back in the swing of things.

I'm a pirate at heart and hope to grow up to be one. In 5-10 years, I see myself dressed in pirate garb, sitting as a vendor with my novel and prints of my characters, playing shanties and Alestorm songs on an accordion at pirate and renaissance festivals.

Weasel

-Name: Fredrick J. Johnston aka "Weasel"

-Age: 35 years old

-Gender: Male

Height: 5'7"

Body: Scarred, built but slim

-Backstory: Fredrick was born to the English, aristocratic Johnston family and personally hated the rich lifestyle. After the mysterious death of his parents, he was sent to an orphanage and was denied his inheritance until he came of age. At the age of 16, he received more than enough money from his inheritance to leave the orphanage and be the 'free man' that he had always dreamed of. He turned to a life of swaggering from brothel to tavern, drinking and gambling, and the many pleasures that he ever thought of.

In a short year or two, Fredrick found that he had little to no money left in his pocket and searched for paid work. He joined a ship as a privateer and immediately fell in love with being on a ship, sailing from place to place, even doing those pleasurable things he had done before - just not as much as he used to.

Eventually, Fredrick joined a Captain named James Rever and his crew and was promoted as First Mate within a couple of years sailing at the age of 28. Soon after, an unfamiliar cabin boy joined the crew and raised Fredrick's suspicions. Seven months later, the crew found the cabin boy to be a young lady. Not surprised, Fredrick condemned the young lady to death. As in the pirates code, any woman found aboard a ship is considered bad luck and thus, in Fredrick's consideration, is immediately condemned to death.

After the death of the young lady and the murder of Captain Rever, Fredrick dubbed himself 'Weasel' and the crew named him Captain.

At the age of 34, Weasel's crew committed mutiny against their captain and marooned him on an island. Fortunately, Weasel found a way back to civilization and seeks more work. Though, his biggest prize would be fame, fortune, and his name printed in the history books even after his death.

-Classification: Pirate

-Specialization: Quartermaster

-Other: Years after keelhauling the young lady all those years ago, he came across her - or her ghost - once again and was taken prisoner as revenge. The young lady, bound for eternity as captain of another ghost ship given to her by Davy Jones, showed Weasel what life he had taken away and what advantage she could have been as his crewmate. Weasel eventually fell in love with her and was given a silver key he wears around his neck, unknowing of when or if he'd see her again.

He also has a knack for singing and playing his accordion.
@Kronshi Awesome!!

Also, here is my character. He's an original character that I'm writing a novel about. The artwork is also mine. I hope he fits in. If you feel that any other job besides "QuarterMaster" may suit him better, please let me know.

Bow to the Queen
@Kronshi

I have to inform the group that I will be out of town without computer access for the next week starting tomorrow. If an IC post is up before I get back, would it be possible for my character to show up later on in the group?

Oh man! AWESOME!!!

Thanks, @Burning Kitty!!!

Yes, they are.
Here's a list of Artifacts that I had in mind.
I hope I did this right. I will add this to my post with my character sheet.

Still working on a logical bio/significant quest and artifacts for LNP. I'm a little busy with work and such.

If you guys have any suggestions for her, I would love to hear them!!

Again, apologies!!!!

I'll try to come up with something, but I'm not sure about my schedule. I'll be gone next week with no computer access and won't be back until the following weekend, unless I show up later in the RP if it turns out you guys start by the time I'm gone.

I'll post what I have come up with as far as a character and artifacts tomorrow around 12pm-3pm EST.
Devon C. Baines

Devon's face grimaced a little more the further her and her scouting partner entered the tunnel. Few things made her nose wrinkle, but god damn did it stink. Her nose was on fire. The filter in the hazmat suit - even holding her breath - could only do so much for her now. She stayed close with her partner, though, keeping observant eyes on all directions.

She could hear the familiar sound of power armor hissing in the air. Immediately, Devon assumed it was the dark-haired woman in her group, looking over her shoulder to check, but the sound came from the other direction. Her eyes were squinting and beginning to water due to the smell. Her visibility blurred. She blinked to get the tears out of her eyes. Devon then heard heavy breathing, "Hey. Hey." she called quietly to her partner. Her vision cleared up, water streaming down her cheeks. Pointing her light at her partner's direction, she could almost see the expression on his face, but the steam on the mask of his hazmat suit from his heavy breathing spoke for him. The sound of gears and hissing was louder and before her and her partner stood a behemoth like Devon had never seen before. Her eyes widened and her breathing almost matched her companion's.

"Run."

Of course that was the smartest thing she could do. She had nothing to defend herself with but several knives at her disposal, but she was stubborn. She wasn't going to leave her partner. "I'm sorry." Acting quickly, she grabbed her companion and started to run in the other direction; towards the group. She cursed mentally, quickly exiting the tunnel and reuniting with the group. She pushed herself back against the wall, breathing deep and heavy, trying to catch her breath. "Fuck. Why didn't I ever think to get a gun?" she softly asked herself, feeling pretty stupid. She looked up at each person in the group, shaking her head. "Not clear."

@Kronshi
