Anybody want to be a Nara? or have relations with Shikako?
“Like ye have any coin that I covet. Gold does not satisfy my fingers, ladie.” Raffy said before straightening her back and announcing with pride, “I am Raffy Nimblefingers, and I am no half-witted thief. I am a great thief.” With her proclamation announced, and with a new arrival, she took her tankard and gulped the mead down in one swig. Some of the golden liquid dribbled down the sides of her mouth and it was only when she was done that she whipped it away. And, much to her ire, the woman who called her enactment “theatrics” left to settle a fight. Disappointment gripped at her chest and she realized just how annoyed she would be on this little adventure that she had entertained. Ah, if only she could be sleeping at some rich ladie’s house while she was gone, all the jewels around her and all the necklaces, earrings, and such wrapped around her pale skin. It was only when the woman returned that Raffy harrumphed and said, “Great, a peacekeeper. Just what I need.”
The horse trembled with each step beneath Raffy and walked with a lulling rhythm, so much so that the redhead had almost fell asleep. The stolen horse mis-stepped causing Raffy to almost tip off of it and she startled awake. Blearily blinking, she signed under her breath when she saw the town come in view. With stiff fingers, she reached into her pocket and removed the letter from it. Dear Sir or Madame, You may not know who I am, but I know who you are very well. Hieledran, this land that we all love and adore, she is falling into darkness. A great and powerful evil lurks among us now and threatens to choke the life from all. It has already begun to affect many places, trees once so tall and mighty now slender twigs. Prairies and grasslands that were once so beautiful with their emerald shades and their colorful flowers...they are nothing more but vast fields of ash and blackened soil. My heart weeps as I write this letter to you, for I....I was too late to stop it, to seal away the horrors that emerged from that wretched tower. But you, your time has come. You are all warriors of Hieledran, brave, cunning, and wise. You have skills, attributes that are far beyond those of your fellow men. That is why I have called upon you. For the fate of all, I ask that you meet at Hearthstone Inn in the city of Vaele. Once you have gathered, journey South of the city to the Temple of Agatha. There is where I will meet you, and I will explain more. Hieledran rests in your hands now, as does the fate of her people. May the Goddess bless and keep you O brave warriors of Hieledran, and may my love be with you as well... The paper slipped from her fingers and onto the ground before being trampled over by the stolen horse’s hooves. “Shit.” It didn’t matter now, it was gone. She just hoped that they didn’t expect any proof or anything. When she got the letter, Raffy had first not wanted to go, but decided that it was best to save the world or whatever was expected of her. It wouldn’t do much good to steal from a bunch of poor people ravaged by evil. And, so, with a heavy, bored heart, she stole the plain brown horse beneath her that was so average that Raffy named it Mediocre and made her way to Hearthstone Inn. Raffy bit her lip, kicking the back of Mediocre’s hide and urging him forward until she came upon the inn. She dismounted Mediocre and left him untied, deciding that if he left she would hitch a ride upon the horse of another…or just steal a more useful horse – but Raffy had a sinking feeling that Mediocre would still be around by the time she finished. When she entered the inn, heat blasted her face and sweat immediately beaded her forehead. So much so that she removed the cowl that covered her face and removed the hood from her head, exposing the blood red hair that made her easily spotted. Sighing under her breath, Raffy easily located the group of people she would be travelling with. The mere thought left a bitter taste on her tongue. The people were obvious. They were fighters, just by the weapons they carried, and dignified with the way they carried themselves…not to mention there was an elf amongst them. Why else would an elf decide to tarry in such an inn as this? Raffy scowled. They looked most annoying. She approached them and stabbed a dagger into the wood of the bar for mere intimidation – the bar wench gave her a nasty glare but a nastier glare silenced her. “I would like a tankard of mead, dearie.” Raffy turned to the others and narrowed her eyes, her shoulders hunching and she looked much like a vulture sitting on a branch, scoping out a dead corpse. “Are ye fellows those who I shall accompany? If ye say nay, I shall fall to me knees in thanks.”
Got my main character up in the character thread, just so you guys know.
Name: Ragna Eld Gender: Female Age: 70 (Mentally and physically is 16) Species: Huldra Powers:
Super-strength – The Hulderfolk are known for their super-strength, but usually have a lean appearance Seduction powers- The Hulderfolk are able to seduce people with a single touch, and make them do anything they want to.
Personality: Ragna is a quiet, studious girl who doesn’t say much because there isn’t much for her to say. When asked, she will give you the truth, no matter how much it hurts, and finds liars particularly disgusting people. She has a hard time expressing and understanding her feelings and this usually results in her frustration. She has the quick anger of her father and getting her enraged is even quicker. She sometimes doesn’t know her strength which results in, to her ire, unforeseen circumstances that usually ends up with her paying extra. She is fiercely independent and refuses to allow anyone to belittle her; she was raised with a strong belief in female power and Ragna hates misogynistic men. She is known for jumping to conclusions and making ridiculous assumptions about people based on what she knows of them. Likes: Movies, cake, music, dancing (though she is not good at it), swimming, sweets, frozen pizza, coke zero, Dislikes: Liars, misogyny, bitter food, anything too spicy, peppers, alcohol, carrots Hobbies: Dancing (though she is extremely bad at it), tree-climbing, magic, History: Ragna was born in a matriarchal species called the Huldrefolk. The females are called Huldra and the males are Huldrekarl; however, females are far more common and they are said to run the house. For the most part, the genders are equal except for when it comes to decisions regarding the children which mothers completely have control over. Ragna herself was born to Dagny and Absalon Eld in the forests of Germany. Her mother, Dagny, was a teacher at Agartha Academy while Absalon was the principal, and has been the principal for years and years. They lived happily enough, cramped inside of a house with Ragna’s aunt, grandma, and great-grandma all living with them – what happened to her uncle, grandpa, and great-grandpa is not to be discussed though Ragna suspects they killed them (Dagny says her assumption is ridiculous but Ragna is not so sure). When Ragna was thirteen, her mother had a miscarriage which had put a strain on her marriage. Absalon and Dagny had grown distant, and as a consequence, Ragna had grown unsettled and temperamental. It came to no surprise when he caught Dagny cheating on him with a human man and they both decided that a divorce was best. Dagny left with her human lover and married him, losing her tail with which contains all of the Huldra power. Five months later, Dagny revealed to Ragna that she was pregnant. Ragna, who wanted her parents to be together again, kept this from her father and pushed him to reconcile with his wife. He had agreed to do so many months later, but when he arrived, Dagny had already given birth to a beautiful baby boy. She had died. Now, Ragna and Absalon take care of the Ragna’s half-brother, named Dagfinn – or Dag as they call him – who is named after his late mother. He is presently only a year old and lives with Absalon and Ragna at Agartha Academy.
Can I make a character that will appear through David's life at the school? It's a girl who wants to date him, but as I said, David is oblivious.
Yeah sure ANNOUNCEMENT: People, you can make as many characters as you can handle. c:
Sorry I haven't been able to get a post up, I've been busy with a paper I had to write and since this was a slow-moving one, I had been posting on the ones that were more fast-paced. Anyways, I have to go for a bit, but I will post when I get back.
The door banged open, colliding with the wall and bouncing off of it before slowly inching closed. Poppy stared at in surprise from where she had fallen on the ground, her bottom aching and her blanket twisted around her limbs. When the shock wore off, she struggled to wrench the blankets off of her, squirming on the ground until she finally managed to kick them off. “God damnit!” She huffed, standing up and crossing the room to the door. Opening it in her ratty Scooby-Doo pajama pants and oversized gray shirt, Poppy felt embarrassment when she made eye contact with a passing boy. Nevertheless, she dug her hand into the air and beckoned him over. The boy, with an irritated, impatient look on his face, engulfed the distance in two steps, squinting his eyes at her and crossing his arms. “What?” “Uh, ah, um, what…what’s going on?” Poppy asked nervously, feeling the animosity run off of him like water off of an oiled duck. "What do you mean is going on? The meeting!” He said incredulously and Poppy cocked her head to the side. “Ah, what meeting?” “The meeting between the rulers!” He answered, now clearly seething as he ground his teeth together. Poppy recalled hearing something about this earlier, involving Henrietta and some other two that she hadn’t bothered to remember, and so she nodded, letting the boy go on his way. She closed the door and figured that she would go, but…well, the rulers seem to be quite violent going by the reaction to that girl’s knight and Poppy didn’t want to go there unarmed. She had the Art of War tactics in her head from earlier that day, but she needed to be able to defend herself. “Hm, I think…” Poppy muttered, shuffling through her book-filled suitcase, shuffling around until she found it. “Ah-ha~” It was a book that taught others how to self-teach themselves karate. Just by brushing her fingers across it, unseen water spilt down her body, embracing her with Alaska itself and her spine tingled as if millions of horses were galloping down it. But with this unpleasantness came the knowledge of stances and kicks. Even though it was all theory, it was better to arm yourself with something than nothing. “Time to go!” Poppy didn’t even bother changing as she slipped on her shoes and jacket, leaving her dorm to witness the meeting. “Ah, I feel like I’m going to regret this.” She mumbled as the door slammed behind her.
EDDIE Eddie didn’t know what to say. Was she supposed to give her reassurance and say that Ev couldn’t possibly be all that bad? Because, if Eddie is completely honest – and she always is – it was complete possibility. Matter of fact, it was more likely that she was awful. Not many had talent like Eddie; it’s not arrogance that Eddie can think this, but complete and utter confidence in the fact that she simply had been born with the genes of her Muse ancestors. Of course, if you were to ask Eddie with which Muse she had been infused with, she wouldn’t have been able to answer. Actually…the family didn’t even quite grasp which Muse they were descended from; many even believe that all Muses gave birth to the line. Eddie didn’t know what to believe, but that is off-topic. The matter is that Eddie would not say something vaguely reassuring until she had seen the pictures of this…Edward Scissorhands look-alike (which is quite a good movie, Eddie would recommend it. Johnny Depp had always had a special place in her heart ever since Pirates of the Caribbean.) “Right.” Once again she had an itch to explore her world…not this dainty, dull place that she was unfortunately born into. If only she herself had been a Muse, maybe she wouldn’t have to be here at a school, half-filled with chaotic creatures and half-filled with oblivious humans. Eddie bit her lip. Maybe she could sneak into the dragon picture to visit Smaug? No, no, it would be too obvious. Might as well come out and say it, “Do you practice witchcraft?” There, that was vague enough not to give a hint of the magical world beneath the air’s surface and also know if she was magic-friendly. Ah, but what if she practiced wiccan magic…but wasn’t really a witch? Eddie scrunched her eyebrows and wiped her hands on the back of her jeans. What was she to do to have some peace in her painting?
Name: Ronja Azulo Gender: Female Age: 90 (Mentally and physically 19 years old, as Djinn's age much slower then Humans) Species:
Powers: Djinn Powers Personality: Ronja is a clever, intelligent and quick-witted girl, with a curious nature, a sharp tongue and a direct way of approaching things. An observer. Her mother described her as being wallflower, and a daydreamer. She is not at all gullible, and she has extremely good Judge of character. Smart, creative and quiet, many think she is shy, but that is not true. She is secretly very judgmental of other people and also vain. She has wise eyes, and is what her father calls an old soul. She finds beauty and love in ordinary things. Ronja is someone who does not forgive easily, and crossing her is really not a good idea, but making her mad is a hard thing to do. She is loyal to people she loves almost to a fault. Likes: Food, Secrets, Travel, Tricks, Naps, Cats, Art, Flowers, Music, Candles, Nighttime, Magic, Incense, Ornate, Books, Tea, Rain, Chocolate, and Desserts. Dislikes: Dogs, Greed, Filth, TV, Computers, Microwaves, Beer, Rum, Most alcohol, Bright flashing lights, Heavy metal, Horror movies, Spiders, Scorpions videogames, and guns. Hobbies: Reading, Painting, Eating, Sleeping, and Collecting bottles, music boxes, sea glass, sea shells, pressed flowers, gems, stones, and such. History: Her mother Antonija is a serial adulterer. She had an affair with a dhampir named Ronan, which resulted in the birth of Ronja. For the first time in her life Antonija was in love, and she was planing on leaving her husband Levi Quinza to be with Ronan, but Levi came from a very influential Djinn family, and she already had four children with him. In the end she was unable to leave her husband to be with her love, and then Ronja was born only a month later. Antonija left Ronja in the care of her grandmother Denna, as Levi would not tolerate raising any of his wife's bastard children. Growing up she only saw her mother every few weeks. Luckily Ronja went to school with four of her half siblings, so she got to know them well enough. Her older brother Blane was raised in the Wonderland realm with his biological father Vetis Panzer (Blane is another product of one of Antonija affairs). When Ronja was eleven she went to live with her father in the human world, as Grandmother Denna had begun to wither with old age as Djinns do. Her father worked as a guard for one of the royal vampire clans in Ireland. Living in the hidden castle, she became friends with many of the vampire children. Three years later the Castle was attacked by a rouge vamp clan, and her father was killed in the battle. Her mother wanted Ronja to live with her but her husband Levi still would not allow it. So Antonija sent her to live in the temple with the guardian Djinns. Ronja became bound when she turned twenty-two, gaining her full power. Living in the temples with the scholars, the professors, the guardians, and the servants all acting as a sort of collective family. Ronja lived a generally undisciplined life in the temples. Being clever and curious, but extremely independent; as a result, her education was patchy because she applied herself only to subjects that caught her interest. She spent much of her time adventuring in and around the temples with her friend Mustafa Coos. When she was sixty her stepfather Levi became sealed, and so Ronja was finally able to live with her mother for the first time. It was a adventure living with her mom, her sibling all adults now had moved on, and started there own lives. Her mother a free spirit, and hopeless romantic was happy to have Ronja with her, as the traveled around through worlds/lands/realms. On these travels Ronja met her older brother Blane for the first time. He was nothing like any Djinn she knew, as he had grown up outside of Borkas, and he new nothing of the traditions or culture. Blane became Ronja's protector of sorts as he joined his mother and her on their travels. Sadly her brother Nero became sealed after braking one of the Djinn laws. This caused her mother to go into a depression, and so Blane and Ronja left to go to Agartha Academy, where they have been for the last six years. Other:
I would prefer it if you did not have the ability to create illusions and control air as that is all very powerful. So get rid of those two and you'll be accepted
