The room was pristine, as it always was, yet empty except for the basic necessities: a bed, a desk, a dresser, and plain mirror that hung above the dresser. There weren’t even any colorful sheets to decorate the bed, but rather bland grey sheets. Amidst the insipid surroundings and bare walls was Hero Katsaros, sitting on her bed with her weapon, Mjolnir, resting on her knee. She rubbed the head of the hammer carefully with clothe, cleaning it of any dirt it might have gathered from her practice earlier that day. Her mind was blank, thinking of nothing but stances and fighting pointers.

However, when she began to hear the annoying voices of her roommates, Hero’s peace and concentration was broken. She closed her eyes in annoyance, a headache beginning to brew as she thought of the heathens that she shared a house with. The blonde just wished she was alone, for once. Associating with people was not her thing and her roommates were so loud and obnoxious – the pulsing in the middle of her forehead became harsher when she heard Abby, someone she particularly didn’t like. She was a troublemaker and a nuisance to Hero’s everyday life.

With the serenity in the sanctuary of her room broken, Hero decided water would help her stay calm as well as maybe a second trip to the training grounds. Hero descended the stairs, passing by Alexander Clarke. Her feet thumped on the stairs as she skipped several steps in order to go to the kitchen. She ignored the presence of her other roommates as she entered the kitchen, sneering at Abby’s back and grabbing a water from the fridge. She threw back her head and gulped down half the bottle, her headache subsiding slightly.

Hogwarts Express – The Great Hall

Mina glanced at the boy next to her, scowling at that nickname he unrightfully gave her – ‘princess’, ugh! She crossed her arms over her chest, flicking a single lock behind her shoulders and turning to fully look at him, curling a plump lip and showing her pristinely white teeth.

“I’d rather take my chances with the dementors!” She huffed indignantly, swiveling on her heel and walking down the corridor. Good riddance!

Either way, she would’ve had to leave their presence soon in order to look for her cat, who had disappeared the moment she climbed onto the train. Mina figured that her cat had run off to steal something or another – and she wasn’t wrong. As if conjured by Mina’s thoughts, a unique looking feline trotted up to her with someone’s boxers in her mouth, looking quite pleased with herself. Mina never understood why her cat couldn’t bring dead mice or frogs to her like normal animals.

“Ramyeon!” Mina gasped, attempting to snatch the boxers from the Chimeric cat’s mouth. Ramyeon dodged her hand, growling lowly to stop her mistress from taking her reward. Mina frowned at being disobeyed and brandished a finger at the cat, “Bad girl!”

After her admonishing, the cat released the undergarment and threaded herself between Mina’s legs. Mina didn’t know what to do with the underwear and so she tossed it over her shoulder, picking up her pet in hopes to keep her out of trouble. Mina was able to find a compartment with a couple of first years in which she kicked the annoying brats out – though she did it politely – and she changed into the gross school robes that she wished she didn’t have to wear.

The Great Hall looked as magnificent as it always did, but rather than dwell on it, she sat at the table and placed her face in her fist, waiting impatiently for the feast to start. She barely listened to the headmaster, but instead let her eyes roam across the students at the Gryffindor table, looking for her good friend Demi. Her eyes landed on her and she smiled to herself until she saw her talking to that rude arse from the train. Mina sighed through her nose, crossing her arms around her chest and pouting to herself. Demi would hear about it later.

When the food appeared on the table, Mina felt a pang of homesickness as her eyes landed on the European food rather than the Korean food she was used to having at home. Reluctantly, she grabbed some chicken and steak as well as mashed potatoes from the table, topping her food with gravy and taking a sip of pumpkin juice from her goblet.

Midnight Private Academy – Assembly

Madigan was impatient – always was impatient. And waiting on the shoddy bench-seat, her ass aching with the cheap hardness of it, Madigan was on the verge of pulling her hair out. She wished the headmistress would just start her speech already, but, seeing as the place was halfway empty, she doubted that she would start it anytime soon. When a minute went by – though it felt like twenty – Madigan began to shake her leg, letting it bounce up and down eagerly. All she wanted to do was get back to her dorm room and fall asleep until she had to go to school. Or maybe even attend a party, as those were pretty popular on the days back to school.

Pulling Madigan from her thoughts, her phone buzzed crazily in her pocket, vibrating her ribs. The redhead frowned, twisting slightly so she could retrieve the smartphone from her jacket. It was a text message, from her resident douchebag friend, Ethan Chevalier.

From: Chevy
running late what am i missing?

“Of course you’re running late.” Madigan muttered under her breath, punching in a reply with barely audible whooping sounds that the smartphone’s company seemed to favor. She clicked send, alerting Chevy of the assembly.

It was then that the headmistress began to talk and Madigan stuffed her phone into her pocket once again, staring mindlessly at the front. Though she seemed to be paying attention, Madigan let her mind roam, thinking of trivial things such as food and a nice, hot shower.

Midnight Private Academy – Courtyard

That morning had not been a good one for Ethan Chevalier. He had driven into town the night before, but rather than stay in his dorm, Ethan decided to stay at a rundown motel in order to avoid the prison he would be subjected to tomorrow. He even went to a bar and had a couple of drinks – brought a girl to the motel and showed her a good time. However, that morning, when he woke up, she was still there. Worst yet, she had bought him breakfast and was asking him to come get coffee with her. Ethan was, of course, very much against the notion – but she was and older woman with money probably and so Ethan, with the promise of free food and drink, went along with it.

At the café, the woman (whose name Ethan had forgotten) bought him some black coffee along with a donut to go along with the breakfast they had earlier. He was sitting there, enjoying his food and ignoring any attempts at conversation that the woman wielded, when a buff dude came in. Naturally, it was the woman’s husband. He started yelling at Ethan and the woman (whose name ended up being Denise, it turns out) and demanding what was going on. It ended with Ethan getting a good punch in the face. By the end of the altercation, Ethan was late and had to shoot a text message to his friend Madigan who he knew would reply without fail.

Now, he was getting out of his expensive sports car and stumbling towards the assembly, rubbing his swollen cheek. He had received Madigan’s text message earlier in the car and felt dread build up when he realized he would have to sneak into the assembly, probably. He creaked open the door and bent low to the floor, closing the door quietly behind him. He snuck down the aisles until he found Madigan, staring aimlessly into the distance. He grabbed a seat next to her and yanked on her hair to grab her attention. Madigan turned and slapped his shoulder before returning to look at the headmistress who was wrapping everything up.

@Apokalipse lol. Don't worry too much, it's not really a romantic poem. It's just a little rhyme that he thought of when he saw her. Fun fact, though: I actually wrote it out and was going to have him say it and then when I was about to do my post that way, I found that the assembly post was up, so I decided to incorporate that rather than trying to write around it. Maybe he'll get a chance to use it at the party, though?

@smarty0114 I feel your pain, man.

Lol, maybe..

I had to pause on my post 'cause of a game of Cards Against Humanity, but I'll start writing again afterwards
