It's happening again. I have been visited by a soviet mad scientist, a king, a penguin prince of darkness, a house plant god thing, a mystical ancient member, a tired reaper (thank god) + a greeting.

Welcome :)
We have a player established in reaper lore; even if Cuccoruler was ok with having a reaper, it would only be right to check with @Slendy to make sure he is Ok with it, since reapers are his established territory.
Northgard, King's Palace, Council Room

Duke Henry strode into the large council room, being one of the last to come in, along with a few other minor nobles; ones who would no doubt contribute little to this special meeting. It was a grand room, slightly bigger than even the throne room, with almost a hundred seats arranged in a semicircle. The King’s throne was near the top, filled with a tired looking King Augustine.

Just a few days after his initial conversation with Duke Ferral, who gave Henry a smile and a wave from the other side, the King had called for a meeting of various nobles and leaders to discuss the situation in Blight. Apparently a new report had come in of a larger quantity of foes than was initially detected., with reports of Giants themselves. Henry, Ferral and an odd assortment of others he knew would oppose action. Some of the military representatives and nobles would be decisively in favor of another investigation, including a strike force. The rest were wildcards.

Scanning the room, Henry identified a variety of people from most parts of the country. Ferral was obviously there, not too far from the King’s seat. He knew the man could be trusted as an ally in the coming talks. There were a few Lords from the northern reaches, or as he liked to call them ‘Barons of the Countryside’ who would also be likely to join Henry. He spotted Sir Rodger near the end of the semicircle. A few other merchants and diplomats were scattered that Henry had known for a while.

He spotted Lord Raelstine, just a few seats below. A good speaker, but Henry found him rather empty. He would no doubt be the primary advocate of a search party. Also in the crowd were General Vernin and the naval commander Orsillian.

This will be a long one…

The result: After a long back-and-forth between the country’s finest, it had been tentatively decided to send a small task force of 20 men, lead by a captain as chosen by Duke Henry, to investigate the threat.

Casual/Advanced might have had a bit to do with it, but I think it was more the "large vs small' that did it, considering the system (probably) interprets it as one way or another - with the logic that small groups can't be large, obviously, any more than a large group can be small.

It's a thing that has been reported that I haven't tested all that much, I might link up with a mod and test it, then have the threads removed when done, just to see how exactly that works.

Rorngar had finally gained access to the city after a slightly annoying encounter with a sleepy guard and his racist superior. He had to show the call to arms to them, which they had sneeringly rejected as being something only for the humans. He had argued for almost an hour before someone who had seemed to be the highest rank of the lot had them all cut the BS on the spot.

Now he strode through the city, finally coming upon a bar.

“Ah… here we are!” he kicked the door and yelled, “Well then! Shall we get drunk?”

To his embarrassment, everyone looked at him, from the barkeep to an obviously drunk fellow in the corner.

“Yeh…” he muttered and went up to the barkeep, barely being able to look over the counter. “Whatever you humans call it, that strong stuff… err… Barnacle something.”

A little while later, Kozmar had found his way along the main road and saw the city in the distance. “About time…” he muttered.

“Mason, go first, see how the territory is over there”.

Mason nodded and walked, rather slowly, in the direction of the palace.

“Move faster, dammit!” Kozmar imbued a small spell of vigor on the old man with a touch on his shoulder.

Mason, more enthusiastically, walked towards the city gates.

“Cheap labor these days…” Kozmar muttered. He still wasn’t sure why he kept that old fart around. He was nigh five times the man’s age and at least walked with a stride.
Had to get something up, so something I got.
Stallman fled into a nearby village, having walked for a good while and avoided detection by the expanding swarm of police force personnel.

Not too far from the place where the hexes were hiding out, he sighed. It was getting late; too late, in fact. He would be sleeping now, most days.

He found a bench on the side of the road and curled up on it, too tired to do much else and looking like a homeless bum in the process. The faint sounds of sirens were in the distance, along with a strange smokey smell.

Halthar had talked with the prison personnel all day and well into the evening. He had heard everything from exaggerated tales that would place the attackers at level S to a more interesting story about an employee who had acted suspicious and promptly vanished.

He once again was dragged out, joining a small team of police force personnel to investigate the burning house.

“Wasn’t this one of the doc’s houses?” he asked the sergeant, who had been equally busy all day ever since he came to the prison.

“Yep. Actually the lead scientist’s. Judging from what we could see, it was an arson job.”

Halthar considered this. The escapees were making a line; they went from the prison and somehow knew that this was the house of the lead scientist. One of the escaped hexes no doubt was a culprit, and a level A at that.

“Alright, secure the town, go door to door. And make sure the other docs are protected, we don’t need more bodies on our hands.”

The sergeant nodded and walked out.
Certain tags don't work in certain forums, it seems. What did you use (before and after)?
I've had too many characters for that... sci-fi, fantasy, celestial or dragon?
