Okay, so it seems that everybody is in pure agreement about wanting a pure Eastern fantasy, so we'll go with that. I wasn't planning on making this a historic RP, but I think the best analog to Japanese History would be the height of the Edo Era. There would be one ruling body that unifies the region. We can call it a shogun or an emperor, or whatever we want. I'm fine with steel age technology, but I'm hesitant to allow firearms. Guns tend to break high fantasy settings.

I like @Haeo's idea involving talismans instead of forehead tattoos. It could be a permanent piercing of some kind that brings out one of the spirit's inhuman features, making their race obvious. Also, since we're going pure Eastern, we can call them youkai.

As far as player death goes, I'm not sure. The threat of death adds excitement and makes players think about the repercussions of their actions, but at the same time it's not very fun losing a character you spent a lot of time making. What do you guys want?

So, since we've got everybody on board for the plot or setting, I think I'll post a CS for you guys tomorrow. Let me know if there are any more questions I've left unanswered.

They had firearms (or gunpowder) way before Edo period though. Should probably think up a reason as to why firearms aren't used, or why they don't exist. And in regards to the emperor (shogun was more like the leader of the nobles) dude, you could refer to him as the Son of Heaven, in reference to the good ol' Mandate of Heaven that both China and Japan had.

And pure Eastern =/= Japan. Why not just refer to youkai as 'spirits' and avoid skewing everyone into making only Japanese characters? XD

I'd prefer player death being a thing, but I generally have a death boner and like to see people suffer, so...
The neverending collab hell, eh?
Wow, where did the dude even hide that piece of paper? Up his ass?

“Seeing how I’m going to outlive all of them, Antennae-head, I’ll be able to dance on their graves at least.”

Gingerly picking up the stack of papers and stuffing the keys of the Hayabusa into his pocket, Rui-Ling pushed both of the flashy vehicles to the side of the road, before scanning over the contents of the paper. It really did read like rather miscellaneous stuff, everything that could just as easily be purchased by the YTC instead of stolen. What exactly was the connection here? The pieces of art and the antiques appeared to be for personal interest, while the electronics were trivial. The prototype telescope from Sonomachi Observatory, which he did recall made a stir on the news, was a noteworthy thing, but for what purpose? Were they in fact, actually looking for aliens?

The immortal smirked. Maybe Harumi’s finally found some fellow believers.

Ultimately, this information told him nothing, other than the fact that it was most definitely one of Yotsuba Tech Corporation’s more secretive operations. No doubt, Haruka and Kiara had a headstart on him for that, and really, he could just leave it to those two…so for now, yeah, Rui-Ling will just take it easy and deal with more present annoyances, such as that Cataloguer dude.

Of course, at the moment, he might as well just Google up some information on what that prototype telescope could even be used for.
@RabidAnubisWell, the first three season are basically the first three episodes of actual anime. You know, the false sense of slice-of-life you get until you get blindsided by this?

And he's Joan D'Arc. Worse comes to worse, he's a buff-spamming commander.
@RabidAnubis
Of course, there's that whole theory going on where she's going to come back as a Grimm-version of herself, in which Jaune then has to re-kill her in order to truly move on. Perhaps finally activate his fucking Semblance as well.

You are a godless heathen. Iravis will smite those without faith :D

Iravis is a goddess...or was a goddess. Now she's just a fried bird, and Arata likes his chicken well-done.

All things considered, she's probably definitely dead. I mean, geez, she got turned to ashes. Literally cremated.

just like manato
@sakurasan We are doing well for the most part. Did the cheese enjoy her sleep XD?

EDIT: BTW RWBY is fucked up. Seriously V3 E12 was like HELLLLLYEEESSSSNNOOOOOO

I mean, it wasn't that bad. My ship had always been Ruby x Jaune, so yeah, nothing of value was lost. :3
Well then.

What the fuck. XD
And this is why you don't do drugs.
I'm not even going to question what has been going on the last couple days in this OOC.

It was more sane when Grafroy was around. But now that he's gone, the floodgates have opened.

Which reminds me. Where is he?
