Actually, I'm curious. Been sometime since I've read things outside of Touhou-doujins, so are the moon rabbits still the OPest of them all? Cause I think they went to the Moon in the latest instalment.

Yeah...I don't think that'd work too well...

But this brings up another question. Namely, what IS magic? Apparently, it's a discipline that people learn, but how is it that people are only capable of only having a few 'abilities' within their magical category, such as decomposition or healing or wind blades? Are they all just scrubs, despite how powerful their abilities are? What's going on here? XD

Hell, if they are taught magic in Montagne, shouldn't a graduate like Cole basically be able to do every Prima magic that every other character have?

Besides, most already established mages probably already have some pretty powerful familiars.

And they don't have to study, they can work too if they do not want a master.

Why would a familiar incapable of 'actual' magic need to understand the basics of magic? On the other hand, why would a school that teaches standardized magic know how to teach familiars how to use their abilities, which are not standard magic?

And most already established mages may indeed have some pretty powerful familiars, but what's the point of becoming the servant of a student, when there's no actual benefit? I don't actually understand why contracts exist, all things considered. It's not like familiars get any new things out of swearing fealty to a master, outside of what the master might choose to give to them. At least, with an established mage, said mage could magic up a whole variety of things that students can't.

But sure, yeah, working is fine. Might as well get a job instead of go to school.

Now, if oni could learn actual magic, he'd actually be invested in his studies, but, well...yeah...

Seriously though, why would familiars go to a SCHOOL, when they will never learn magic? Sounds like it'd make more sense if they just teamed up with already-established mages.
