"Thanks!" Chuck said, smiling at her and shaking her hand. "It's nice to meet you, Jen."
As Chuck is introducing himself, he hears some rustling behind him, to find a Grubbin coming out and attacking. However, this Grubbin was red instead of orange Chuck sends out Ariel the Popplio, and has her use Water Gun, blasting the bug back. It counters with a String Shot, but Chuck threw his Pokeball. It went in and shook a couple times, before pinging with the capture. "Nice! I think I'll call you Kite." he said, picking up the ball.
"Actually, I originally came here to give a lecture to the school with my friends." he said. "I'm Charles North Jr, from Lumiose City in Kalos, but you can call me Chuck." he said, holding his hand out for her to shake.
"No, but I thought he was a wild one." he said, bowing to her. "I'm sorry, I tried to catch your Pokémon."
"Are you that Rockruff's owner?" Chuck asked, catching up.
Chuck decides to follow him, wanting to apologize to his trainer for attempting to capture him.
"Hm?" Chuck said, wondering why he stopped his attack. "Well then, let's try this!" Chuck said, tossing a Pokeball. However, a barrier appeared around the Rockruff, preventing it from being captured. Chuck caught his ball as it bounced back, stunned. "Wait, so you've already got a trainer!?" he said, recalling Ariel.
"What an odd Pokémon." Chuck says to himself. "Ariel, use Water Gun!" the Popplio fired off blast of water from her mouth.
"Let's go Ariel!" he said, sending out his newly acquired Popplio.
