I'll try and post my CS tomorrow.
Thinking of playing either a merchant-poet-actor of the Dream District, cavalier, bard, or mage-something, idk. Will have to think about it.
Love the freedom of the setting and the kind of care-free attitude, I think it'll be great fun ^u^
Very interested. Sounds wonderful.
Going the corporate route, just changed a few things about the character. Also, he goes by his pseudonym rather than by his actual name, so throw out that writeup I posted above.

Name: Heng Dith-Manso Pseudonym: Kabuki

Age: 29

Nationality: Khmer/Thai/Spanish

Physical Descriptors
Height: 5'7''
Weight: 140 lbs
Description: Heng is a man of medium height but tall ambition. His gait is confident, his shoulders broad, his stride definite. His complexion is a light blonde caramel, his hair sleek and black, his teeth impeccable, his nose aquiline, and with warm cinnamon eyes. He is certainly always clean shaven, his face lathered with the finest after-shave and pomegranate scrubs, his eyebrows plucked to a sculpted perfection, his body entire bare of hair save for that on his head and the lightest of dapplings in his armpits. Prim, clean, unblemished, bedecked in the most immaculate, most stylishly cut, most en vogue, most well-starched suits--and on weekends, for yacht parties on the Gulf, in nautical navies and whites or any array of fashions.

Background (This section is a bit long so I’ll spoil it)

Personality: Outwardly, charming, easygoing, affable. Yet at his core: empty, without remorse, without compassion, without empathy. A textbook psychopath.

Augmentations: WIP

Relationships/allegiances/rivalries: WIP

Still have a couple of things left to develop, but I think it'll be interesting to RP as a psychopath and as a person totally devoid of good qualities. I was wondering though: can we RP multiple characters?

Also, what do you think about making a PiratePad or Chatzy so we can communicate with each other a little bit more easily and develop the lore together?
Should we try and do a re-boot if Flagg doesn't come back?
I mean you guys have put in so much effort for this, it'd be such a shame if it all was for nothing.
This is like so ambitious and interesting. I'm sure it'd attract a lot of people.
I think we just need to start RP'ing and put more thought into the lore as we go along.
Sorry I haven't been on Chatzy or PP lately guys, been really busy with coursework and papers
I'm in the South and we recently had a "snowpocalypse" which has made everyone have to reschedule classes and it's basically hell
Okay, so I don't have a full CS yet, but I did make a write-up to accompany my CS as a way to gauge my understanding of the setting.
It's really short, and I don't usually write in this kind of style, but I thought it was a good accompaniment with the setting.
Just a way to introduce the character. Also, don't take all this at face value. Heng Dith, though he styles himself the "King of the Mekong", is somewhat marginal.
He's got a Napoleon complex, in essence. Anyway, tell me what you guys think! Hope it's okay.

Cool! Yeah, I think in places like the commercial center English would be the de jure language but, maybe there's kind of like an English pidgin, like RoadRash suggested, heavily peppered with words from Khmer and Thai (depending on what part of the city you're in), borrowing a lot of its colloquialisms/grammatical structure, etc. Just a thought!

Also, started work on my CS, should have it up soon.

By the way, how far into the future are we?
Also, I'm wondering, is there an official language for the city, or do different portions speak different languages?
For instance, would people other than the natives still speak Khmer in the area near Phnom Penh, Thai in the Thai portion, Vietnamese along the Vietnamese coast? I know that there are a lot of immigrants and most people are of mixed race, so is there a lingua franca used by everyone to bridge the gap?
@GrandDM2
Okay, so is your character like a biotech dealer...or...?
I have a couple of different ideas for characters atm:

-A transhumanist anti-capitalist terrorist masquerading as the matron of a brothel
-A procurer of illicit biotech and weapons that operates from houseboats along the Mekong
-An up-and-coming broker of one of the largest megacorps who becomes involved in the seedy underbelly of the city. Psychopathic tendencies. Could possibly have dealings with the first character.

Any of these sound good?
