Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Just like Adam, Evette is but a hologram with many copies, a hologram that appears after an Adam disappears. Rechonq found a loophole. The door will automatically close after he goes through; so Grey simply held the door open for Ricardo.

You two girls can enter the door with the help of your own Evettes.

Does that make sense? :)
Grey held the door open. The sounds of slot machines, bells, whistles, and more were calling out. But what were people betting with in here? Why play when you have nothing to win?

The red hologram girl went straight to the back of the casino, straight through a giant metal door. It was obvious that the two were ment to follow.

Ricardo finally snapped out of his heavy thinking, the front door might not stay open much longer. Quickly, he strided through the doorway. Once inside, he turned back to face Grey.

"So Grey, should we get straight to it and go through that door? Or should we have a look around first?"
@rechonq

'Currently' she is only able to do and say exactly what is stated in her character description. I will say this: she will be more useful soon enough.
@Alina13

We are all posting once every few days. So if you want to catch up in the future, you will have to post more often than that.

As far as how far into the story we currently are... We got a long long way to go. At the pace we are going, this story should take about 1 real life year to complete. That's my estimate at the moment.
@Alina13

I appreciate you reaching out and letting me know what's up. Your character can stay in this story as long as you like. You may fall behind, but that is fine with me if it is with you.
@Airalin@Classpet

There is no pressure for your characters to advance in the plot as quickly as Grey and Ricardo. Keep up if you wish, or tak e it easy and enjoy your relationship building time.

I am excited everyone. The end of chapter one is approaching!
@rechonq

Hey man, the ball is in your court again. Ricardo is ready to follow if Grey is ready to chase the little red girl. You can describe things all the way to the inside of the casino if you like, or you can pass the baton early, whatever you prefer.

Or hell, you could decide not to follow the girl if Grey doesn't trust her. That's your prerogative.
"2015, that's nearly 600 years from me." ... "So, does 2015 have flying metal bubbles like here?"

Ricardo did his best to answer Grey's question. [b]Actually those bubbles are vehicles. In my time they are called cars, but they roll around on wheels, like a wagon with a mechanical engine to make it run. We have talked about having flying cars in the future, but we don't have them yet. Though, we do have larger vehicles called planes that fly much higher and faster in the sky, like giant sky ships."

Of course it was easy for Ricardo to understand, but after saying it aloud, it did sound strange that cars couldn't fly already. Hell, there are even rocket ships in 2015 that leave Earth's orbit. Ricardo decided it was best not to bring that up though.

As Grey began to take in the view, he seemed to have an idea.

"Well that's rather eerie. I want to check something real quick first. Hey Adam, what happens when we walk out to the dark?" Grey wasn't really expecting much, except...

Adam popped up, as usual, and offered some information that was rather... lacking. Hello Grey. Fortunately, you are unable to walk out toward the dark. There is an invisible wall shielding everyone in this city from the dangers beyond."

"The dangers beyond?" What did that mean? What was out there? Walking the rest of the way to the edge of the city, Ricardo found the wall Adam mentioned. It was like the world's cleanest thickest glass that had no reflective qualities. Knocking on it made no sound and hurt as bad as reinforced metal.

Behind Ricardo, Grey was already dismissing Adam. This caught Ricardo's attention, as this might mean more information from the new red hologram.

Sure enough, she appeared. She addressed Grey specificly. "Follow me if you wish to know more."

Ricardo's interest was more than peaked. He had to know where this was going. He ran back to Grey. "Well Grey, I don't know about you, but I think we should follow her. What do we have to loose?"

Ricardo stood strong, anxious, and ready for anything.
@rechonq

Wait... what... 1467!? It hadn't really occurred to Ricardo that Grey could be from another time. Britain, he could understand, but not hundreds of years in the past.

But the more Ricardo thought about it, it did make sense. His accent wasn't just English; it had a more traditional quality to it. And the guy did seem awfully impressed at the slightest of things such as clothing.

Ricardo stuttered his response, trying not to sound to shaken up. "Um- I'm from a place called the United States of America. If I'm right, Britain doesn't discover our land for a few hundred more years, then you colonize the land and eventually the colonists fight to make themselves an independent country. And um- I'm from the year 2015." It felt strange, giving a history lesson. Ricardo never did too well in that subject.

Just as Ricardo finished his thoughts, the Ancient India neighborhood opened up to reveal the edge of the city. Just one block ahead the buildings framed the curious sight of a distant sky that slowly faded into darkness. It was beautiful and scary at the same time.
Grey and Ricardo walked through neighborhood after neighborhood. Modern cities, ancient clay cities, you name it. But it had lost it's appeal. Ricardo was simply walking as straight as he could. Eventually the city would have to end, at least he hoped.

Ricardo also noticed something else as they walked. He wasn't hungry or tired yet. After all the walking and everything else that had happened recently, his stomach should have been aching. The sky also began to give him the creeps; it hadn't changed in the slightest since he arrived.

All these thoughts circled around in Ricardo's head. The more he thought about them, the more he became agrivated. Finally, he took a deep breath and sighed; what would worrying accomplish? For now, he just needed to get out of this place.

The silence between the two men lasted a while before Ricardo realized that he knew little about his new companion. He glanced over to Grey as they walked. "So, where are you from Grey?"
